with the ability to absorb the mightiest blows his enemy could deliver, draw energy from them,
and become more powerful as a consequence. This quote is comparing Osama bin Laden to a villain
in a comic book because it seemed like no matter what attempts the U.S. made to take him down,
he always came back stronger. If there had been more similes like this, the book would ve been
better. Also, Krakauer s excessive use of acronyms left me feeling frustratingly confused.
Nevertheless, not all is bad about Krakauer s writing technique. I was pleasantly surprised to find
that he included actual entries from Pat Tillman s journal and statements from Tillman s friends and
family. In doing so, Krakauer made me easily connect and empathize with Pat Tillman and his
loved ones. This made a powerful impact on the book and reader.
Despite my previous explanation of what I did not like about the book, the list of what I did like is
more significant. I will admit that I am not an avid reader. For a book to successfully make me feel

In this paper I will be researching ACL injuries in sports. Along with what causes these injuries
to happen, how they can be prevent and if the footwear we use as athletes can make these

injury in which Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls has been suffering from for the past few years.
An ACL is the Anterior Cruciate Ligament(ACL) which is a ligament in the knee and is an essential
internal stabilizer of the knee joint and helps in restraining hyperextension. It is injured when it s
when the biomechanics of this ligaments limits are exceeded or over stretched, often with a
hyperextended mechanic. It was thought that this occurred in sports where there was a lot of
contact and when other structures were often involved. In the present day, the ACL injury seems
to be more of a contactless injury such as; a dismount from a layup in basketball. Both forms of
the injury occur more frequently in athletes than in the general population. They are also more
established in alpine skiing, Association football, American football, Australian Rules football,
basketball, rugby, professional wrestling, martial arts, and artistic gymnastics. It is also three times

Underage drinking is a very eminent problem for Americans today. Some may not know that the
human brain continues to develop until the age of twenty five. Underage drinking can weaken
neurological development, which could cause minors to make bad decisions, have memory loss,
slower thought processes, and even acquire irreversible brain damage. Drinking when your body
and mind are not fully developed can leave damaging effects on a person s social abilities,

A youth s social abilities can be destroyed by underage drinking. Socialization skills are key when

and environmentally conscious purchasing habits, which has caused annual decreases in
carbonated soft drink (CSD) sales. To further explore PepsiCo s problem, we conducted PEST,
PORTER, VIRO, and Value Chain analyses. Below are the results from each analysis: Through

Charlie Howard was a twenty three year old, homosexual man living in Bangor, Maine. Living in
