Advertising Strategy Of Coca-Cola
INTRODUCTION
It is rightly said that advertisement is as much a science as it is an art. advertisements are primary
mode of communication in the field of marketing as it serves as a direct contact with the consumers of
a product. an advertisement of any product is successful in making its place in the market only if it
succesfully reaches and creates an attractive image of the product in the mind of the consumers. Coca
Cola, a beverage company, is an American multinational beverage corporation and manufacturer,
retailer, and marketer of non alcoholic beverage that is headquatered in Atlanta, Georgia. The
company rightly claims its hold over the Indian market and remains one of the most famous soft
drinks in India. All the contemporary beverages use various marketing strategies to keep a hold on the
Indian market. The most powerful strategy that ensures a company s reach to the market and thus to
the public is through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
COCA COLA s ADVERTISEMENT CAMPAIGN Coca Cola had a presence in India before 1977, but
was subsequently forced to exit the Indian market. When the company returned to India post
liberalization, it came up with an innovative communication and advertising strategy that resulted in a
successful comeback. Coca Cola has essentially been following the principle of differentiation. It is
important to note that Coca Cola made some exceptions for India. The company has similar marketing
strategies across geographies and usually doesn t depend on celebrity endorsements. But given the
great fan following, and in adapting to the Indian context, the company had to initially deviate from its
set character and give an Indian touch to their advertisements so that people of the country welcomed
the product with open arms.

What Does A Sport And Whether Or Not Cheerleading Should...
When someone tells you to think of a sport I m sure the first thing that comes to mind is football, or
basketball, or maybe baseball. But what about cheerleading? When you think of cheerleading do you
just think of it as an activity that consists of chants on the sidelines with big pom poms, or do you
think of it as a sport with extreme stunting such as tumbling, mounting, and tossing? The question of
whether or not cheerleading is or should be recognized as an official sport has been debated since
1997 and still makes its way to court every few years. Throughout this research paper I will explore
the question of what defines a sport and whether or not cheerleading should be considered one.
Currently there are three different types of cheerleading you can participate in. The first form of
cheerleading is Sideline Cheerleading (High School/ College Cheer). Sideline cheerleading s primary
purpose is to serve as support group for athletic programs in the school, as well as entertaining the
crowd through cheers, stunts, and dance. Competitive Cheerleading (All star/ College Cheer) is the
second form of cheerleading and can be a mix of school squads and all star gym squads. For
competitive cheerleading you compete against other squads or gyms with a two minute and thirty
second routine. In these routines, the cheerleaders perform extreme tricks and higher level stunting
and tumbling than sideline cheer in hopes of getting the highest scores possible. The last form of

Case Study Of ABNAAMRO
In 2007, ABN AMRO Holding NV was acquired by RFS, a consortium of banks comprising Royal
Bank of Scotland (RBS), Fortis Bank NV/SA, and Banco Santander. The acquisition talks were
initiated after a shareholder wrote a letter asking the CEO, Rijkman Groenink, and the supervisory
board chairman, Arthur Martinez, to actively investigate a merger, acquisition or division of ABN
AMRO. The motivation was that the share price did not reflect the true value of the underlying assets.
On March 20, 2007, ABN AMRO established it was having merger talks with Barclays.
On April 18, 2007, however, RBS contacted ABN AMRO to propose a deal in which the consortium
RFS would bid for ABN AMRO and subsequently split the components of the firm.
On 23 April, ABN AMRO and Barclays announced the proposed acquisition of ABN AMRO by
Barclays. The deal was valued at €67 billion and included the sale of LaSalle Bank to Bank of
America for €21 billion.
Two days later, the RBS led consortium brought out its indicative offer, worth €72 billion, if ABN

LaSalle could not be viewed apart from the current merger talks of Barclays with ABN AMRO, and
that the ABN AMRO shareholders should be able to approve other possible merger/acquisition

Factors Influencing Flashbulb Memories
Factors Affecting Flashbulb Memories
Flashbulb memories are the recollections of one s personal experiences upon learning about an
important, emotionally arousing event. Originally pioneered by Brown and Kulik looking at the
reactions to the assassination of President Kennedy, they found that people s memories were
particularly vivid (1977). They hypothesised that as well as being extremely vivid, flashbulb
memories are also characterised by long lasting accuracy. However, research has shown variation in
the evidence supporting this notion, implying that there are a number of factors that influence the
accuracy of flashbulb memories. It had also been argued that flashbulb memories cannot be
characterised by accuracy at all, a debate that will also be considered. This essay will explore a
number of factors that have been suggested by literature and evaluate its validity.
Before reviewing the accuracy of flashbulb memory, it is important to consider that not all research
supports Brown and Kulik s description of flashbulb memories as highly accurate (1977). For
instance, Talarico and Rubin compared the consistency of September 11 terrorist attacks flashbulb
memories with everyday memories and found no difference with equal amounts decay in both cases
(2003). However, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the death of Pope John Paul II, consequentiality and religious involvement in the event were the

flashbulb memory accuracy because of Pope John Paul II s impact on Polish politics and the Catholic
majority population. A similar study of the same event by Lanciano, Curci and Soleti (2013) found
similar results, showing that Catholics had the highest flashbulb memory consistency of the Pope s
death, because it had the greatest consequence on their

The Contributions Of John Stuart Mill
John Stuart Mill was a British philosopher who was born on May 20, 1806 in London, England, to
Harriet Burrow and James Mill, a noted economist, philosopher and historian. James Mill was an
educated man who was heavily involved in an early 19th century movement called philosophic
radicalism, a school of thought also known as Utilitarianism, which highlighted the demand for a
scientific foundation for philosophy, as well as a humanist approach to economics politics. It was this
foundation from which James Mill urged and advanced his eldest son s education from a very early
age. John Stuart studied Greek at age three and Latin at eight, and he was asked to recite everything he
had learned to his father every day. John Stuart also studied mathematics and science for his personal
enjoyment and would engage in long discussions with his father about histories and biographies that
he had read. It is interesting to note that John Stuart was also empowered with the responsible for
educating his eight younger siblings. His childhood comprised of a strict environment of learning,
teachings and tutoring, however, John Stuart felt that he was emotionally compromised by his father s
educational plan. Although John Stuart never actually attended university, by the age of twenty, he
essentially had a postgraduate self education in logic, political economy and law. As an adult, John
Stuart once stated that, out of all of his studies, teachings and education, the element that he

Shakespeare s King Richard III and Al Pacino s 1996 documentary Looking for Richard enhance a
deeper understanding of ambition and identity through depicting explicit connections between each
text and their audience. Enhancement of each text is gained through differing contexts and text types
which are presented through literary and cinematic techniques. Both composers use anachronisms to
parallel beliefs and values such as ambition and identity which transcend both contexts. Ambition is
an earnest desire for achievement. Both texts are self reflexive and emphasise Richard s obsessive
ambition, desire and longing for the throne. Each Richard strives towards capturing the throne
regardless of consequences and bloodshed. Richard is depicted in both texts as an ambitious character
who strives to gain power and independence through deception and self confessed villainy. Since I
cannot prove a lover. . . I am determined to prove a villain This obsession which drives Richard to
commit horrific evils to gain and then protect his claim to the throne. His ambition, power and evil
blinds him and inevitably is responsible for his downfall in both of the texts. A connection is formed

Hollywood background influences an ending which can be interpreted as portraying Richmond as a

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome SIDS
Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is defined as sudden death of an infant less than 1 year of age
that is unexplained by history, and unexplained by postmortem explanation including an autopsy
(Hunt, Hauck, 2006). SIDS is the leading cause of death within the first year of life in the developed
world (Vennenman et al., 2009). In the west, the yearly incidence of sudden death is 1.3 7.5 per
100,000 in the pediatric population beyond infancy (Mei Hwan, 2010). In order to find a correlation
between SIDS and breastfeeding, a German study was conducted. The study concluded that exclusive
breastfeeding was correlated with reduction in SIDS rather than partial feeding, which on its own was
associated with decrease in SIDS compared to not breastfeeding.

Abstract The increase of technology has given us luxuries beyond our ancestor s imagination. Yet,
with the growing technological advances information security among the cyber world is also a
growing concern. Hackers and cyber criminals are lurking to and fro seeking security vulnerabilities to
devour personal computers and computer systems alike. Their methods run into malicious behavior in
the form of developing malware that includes several types; viruses, worms, botnets, Trojan horses
and logic bombs. Moreover, to the Christian our very own sanctification has hindrances as well. In ...

Introduction As the world becomes more engrained with technology. The growing threats and security
vulnerabilities propose a great concern to keep our digital information private and out of the hands of
thieves, hackers, and abusers. According to David Donahoo quoted in the Liberty Journal, The more
information that is available in the cyber world, the larger the pie becomes as far as a cyber criminal is
concerned. (Menard, 2015) In other words, information security is becoming a vital intrinsic absolute
when we consider the luxury our technology has brought us on a daily basis. More so, in the spiritual
sense the biblical doctrine of sanctification also plays a vital role in the health of our own spiritual
lives. Sanctification as defined by Wayne Grudem, is a progressive work of God and man that makes
us more and more free from sin and like Christ in our actual lives. (Grudem, 1994) With that said,

Legalizing Recreational Drugs
In 1826, a group of Americans sought out to ban all alcoholic beverages; they were successful and had
a law made under the 18th amendment. However under the 21st amendment it was repealed. So, the
question comes up, should all recreational drugs be banned today? I feel that recreational drugs today
(not for medical use) should not be banned.
I envision a world where drugs and even alcohol are legal. In my eyes the world does not appear
different. I feel that even now when drugs (also again including alcohol) are banned, so many people
do them illegally that it would not be that big of a difference if they are legalized. Consequently, if
they are legalized drug and alcohol abuse might go up and due to that reason there should still be some

A Chemical Reaction By Light
Photocatalysis is the acceleration of a chemical reaction by light. The activity of these catalysts
usually depends on their ability to produce pairs of negatively charged electrons and positively
charged electron holes (electron hole pairs) on material surfaces, which is induced by light irradiation.
An electron hole is the absence of an electron from the full valence band. Furthermore, as light
interacts with matter in the form of energy packets, the photons, it excites an electron consequently
causing it to move to a higher energy orbital leaving a vacancy, a hole, in its previous position (ground
state orbital). The creation of these electron hole pairs brings about various chemical processes, such
as the formation of free radicals. Free radicals are highly reactive chemical species, which may then
go on to give secondary reactions.
It is well documented that light energized, photocatalytic TiO2 is a safe, non toxic, anti oxidant that
produces hydroxyl radicals (OH ) that are remarkably effective in rapidly decomposing organic
compounds. When UV light is emitted on the titanium dioxide, electron are released. The electrons
interact with water molecules (H2O) in the solution, breaking them up into hydroxyl radicals (OH·),
which are highly reactive, short lived, uncharged forms of hydroxide ions (OH−). These agile
hydroxyl radicals attack the organic (carbon based) molecules from which most dirt and other harmful
chemicals are made of, breaking apart their chemical

Informal Leadership In Sports Organizations
A leader is someone who directs a group where to go. This person exists in almost every team and
group (Vercillo, 2016). I have not been in a business organization, but I have been in a sports
organization, which have vast similarities. The entire program of a sports team is like a business
organization, and is supervised by a head director. In addition, the coaches are like the business top
managers and the players are like the employees in a business.
With sports, many leaders are within a team. I personally have been a coach, formal leader, and a
player, informal leader, when it comes to an organization, and I know that both are vastly important.
Through my experiences with dealing with sporting teams, I believe the best leaders are people ...

Formal leaders, coaches, show the entire team the path in where to go. In some cases, the agenda of
the formal leader and the informal conflict. In cases in my organization, the coach wants the best of
the entire organization allowing every kid an opportunity to learn from its mistake. In addition, the
informal leader, the player, wants what is best for the team to win at all costs. To solve this problem,
there has to be clear communication between the player and coach. Formal leaders and informal
leaders have to coexist in order for the betterment of the organization and team.
According to article, Leadership to the Power of 8, leaders have to manage and then lead self, other,
context, and system, they become of necessity increasingly attentive and increasingly intentional
(Hamilton, 2012). There are certain qualities leaders have to possess in order to lead effectively.
Qualities as responsibility, respect, and confidence are traits that both formal and informal leaders
have to show its followers for them to have reassurance of their leadership. I believe that leading by
example is the best way to lead because it shows their followers what is expected from them

Peter Pan Comparison
To begin with, it was researched that although the Peter Pan fairytale and the Disney movie had the
same idea and theme, they were very much different. This Compare and Contrast essay states the
differences and similarities of both. Including; Settings, clothes, origins and the modifications Disney
made to the original tale.
The fairytale was originally based upon Sir James M. Barrie s 1904 play about the boy who refuses to
grow up, the film begins in the London nursery of Wendy, John, and Michael Darling, where three
children are visited by Peter Pan. With the help of his tiny friend, Tinkerbell, Peter takes the three
children on a magical flight to Never Land. This enchanted island is home to Peter, Tink, the Lost
Boys, Tiger Lily and her Native American nation, and the scheming Captain Hook who is as intent on
defeating Peter Pan as he is from escaping the tick tocking crocodile that once ate a hand of his that
Peter Pan cut off and loved the taste of so much.
Clothes wise, the fairytale s wardrobe is very different to Disneys film. In the original tale, Barrie
never described Peter s appearance in detail, even in the novel Peter and Wendy , leaving much of it to
the imagination of the reader and the interpretation of anyone adapting the character. In the play, Peter

The human body and its relationship with technology in the digital age that we live in, plays as the
main inspirations for British designer Matthew Miller. His work reflects a belief that fashion is
essentially a product, just like anything else, that reflect simple manufacturing values. A graduate of
the Royal College of Art, Miller combines aspects of tailoring and casual wear to create delicate
fusions that utilise contemporary fabrication processes. His modern interpretation of classic tailoring
combined with a desire to use particular materials offer a glimpse into his creative mind. Miller s

The Commodification And Objectification Of Women In Mass...
The commodification or objectification of women in mass media has long sorted history. The concept
of a commodity and the word itself changes meaning when dealt with in various capital industries
which engage in trade. For the purpose of exploration, the meaning of commodity shall be narrowed
down to an economic good, that is subject to ready exchange or exploitation within a market .
A trend that is developing in entertainment media today is the objectification of women in society.
Specifically in indian movies, music videos, music, and television, there is strong focus on women as
sexual objects rather than women. This is detrimental to society because the media is creating social
stereotypes for both men and women that can result in unhealthy social and physical habits. The issue
is especially prevalent because the more the media uses sexual content regarding women, the more
viewers seem to buy into them. Thus, the media is able to shape the culture s sense of dating, romance,
sex, and what is ideal within society. The sexual attitudes of society are shaped and that has effects
that can affect all demographics among society.
Advertising and media images that encourage girls to focus on looks and sexuality are harmful to their
emotional and physical health. Women develop the ideal of seeing their bodies as not their personal
self, but as sexual objects. That unhealthy train of thought can develop into recurring problems such as
eating disorders, low self esteem, and

Summary Of The Worst Hard Time Egan
The Worst Hard Time is a historical disaster novel published in 2006 written by New York Times
journalist Timothy Egan. Egan wrote other novels about ecological disasters, such as The Big Burn:
Teddy Roosevelt and the Fire that Saved America. In The Worst Hard Time, the author writes of
families hit hardest by the Great Depression in areas like Texas, Kansas and the Oklahoma panhandle.
(66 86) Because The Worst Hard Time is a historical novel, it lacks many of the same literary elements
as other novel genres. For example, anecdotes and motifs are not very commonly utilized. Regardless,

Most novels tell stories from the point of view of one or a few characters, but The Worst Hard Time
captures the perspectives of hundreds of people. The point of view also shifts periodically per chapter,

characters the stories are not all from the area of the Dust Bowl. The economic downturn affected
almost everyone in the nation, and stories of a broad range of people such as stockbrokers, CEOs, and
Native Americans are told. Many of the characters in the book symbolize particular roles citizens had

character introduced, represents the thousands of farmers who were saved economically by the

My Favorite Time Of The Day
I wake up to Azan blaring from the loudspeaker of the mosque beside which I lie down daily to rest
my limbs. We do not have dedicated meals, you see. There is no breakfast or lunch or dinner. If the

of the day, though. Supposedly different people looking alike, with freshly groomed up bodies but
sullen faces rush about in the same direction, like the swarms of flies. I overhear their conversations

I usually hit the small shops. The big ones have started putting men to keep off people like me. This
wasn t my routine though. I used to visit houses before. There was a time when they were occupied by
people more than they actually had room for. The doors were usually open, and if not for the adults,
the kids running about often handed me some coins. Now things have changed. Houses are small,
occupied by even smaller number of people. And forget about the doors, even the windows are shut
tight. So when I get no luck with the shopkeepers, which is usually the case, I lie down for a nap. The
earnings of the day are now over as I hardly get any in the evenings when the swarms of flies rush
back to their places. With faces grimmer and more sullen than the morning, I am usually pushed off
with a chiding this time. The nights are pretty with the glimmering of lights. I like to sit alone near the
pond overly grown with vegetation and observe the shinning bulbs all over the city while I have my
supper. There are more like me, hidden in open visibility among the roads, bridges and sides of stalls.
We are ghosts to the people behind those lights, floating around with no destination, occasionally
making their presence known for some coins before disappearing into the luminous darkness. I slowly
walk back to my resting place as the most of those glimmering lights go off and shop shutters go
down. As I lie down and close my eyes, I hope to pop up in the fiction land

Jumpa Lahiri s Interpreter Of Maladies
Interpreter of Maladies is a collection of short stories written by Jumpa Lahiri. From the collection of
stories, the last story, The third and the final continent was especially appealing to me. The story
portrays an Indian man s journey from Calcutta to London and then to America. The most important
aspect of the story is the narration of his arranged marriage with his wife. I believe, by this story the
author portrays the positive side of arrange marriages. First, it is important to see the viewpoint of two
characters towards marriage. For the narrator, an arrange marriage meant something that he had to do
due to social norms. Specifically, when his brother arranged a marriage for him, he thought I regarded
the proposition with neither objection nor enthusiasm. It was a duty expected of me, as it was expected
of every man. (Page 181). In contrast, the wife was pressured to get married by her parents because
her parents thought that she would end up alone. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

wife arrives at the airport, he sees her with saree properly fixed rather than dragging on the floor. By
portraying this the author shows the audience that an arrange marriage between two complete
strangers is not as bad as people imagine. Furthermore, the author shows that lack of communication
between the husband and wife is a common issue for arranged marriages. A best example for this can
be seen when the husband asked the wife to get dressed to go out, the wife overdressed for the

don t even have to say anything to impact someone. People always pick what their favorite and
interesting topic during the communication. They try to skip or avoid those information against them,
or they go back to oppose and overthrow those unfavorable information. What can we do if they tried

scared later that he started to pray for his sins. The religious instructions of my mother had from time
to time recurred to my mind, and had occasioned me some anxiety. I was now greatly alarmed at the
idea of dying in my sins, from which I seemed to have escaped so narrowly. (Page 11) he came into
contact with religion. He was converted in a camp meeting for pray the sins, and this change totally

a man s religion is more to be judged of by what he does than by how he feels or what he says. and
The change which had taken place in me, however it is to be regarded, was not without a decided
influence on my whole future life. I no longer considered myself as living for myself alone. I regarded
myself as bound to do unto others as I would that they should do unto me. (Page 15)It is an important

Customer Satisfaction And Loyalty
Zeithaml and Bitner (2000) defined customer satisfaction as the customers evaluation of a product or
service in terms of whether that product or service has met their needs and expectations . Therefore,
satisfaction is a consumer s post purchase evaluation and affective response to the overall product or
service experience. In other words, what consumer perceives after a product or service consumption
determines his/her satisfaction. Many researches have concluded that satisfaction can determine the
customer loyalty. Customer loyalty defined as a deeply held commitment to re buy or re use a
preferred product/service consistently in the future, thereby causing repetitive same brand or same
brand set purchasing, despite situational influences and marketing efforts have the potential to cause
switching behavior. The satisfaction/dissatisfaction occurring through a matching or mismatching of
expectations and perceived performance leads to loyalty behaviour.
Customer satisfaction was the key factor that affects mostly on service loyalty. Oliver suggested that

According to the date of Air Asia, customer satisfaction is defined as the result of a cognitive and
affective evaluation, where some comparison standard is compared to the actually perceived
performance. If the perceived performance is less than estimated, customers will be dissatisfied. On
the other hand, if the perceived performance exceeds expectations, customers will be satisfied and
delightful. Otherwise, if the perceived expectations are met with performance, customers are in an
unconcerned or neural stage. In general, increased customer satisfaction leads to higher customer

Georgia And Victorian Fashion Trends
The Victorian and Georgian era are very similar in fashion ideas. Yet they were so different in a
variety of ways. Fashion was important during the Victorian and Georgian eras. These eras were
crucial and archaic. Comparing and contrasting the two different fashion styles will be helpful to see
the big picture of how their culture impacted fashion. As the years passed by, different styles and
trends kept changing. It is interesting to see the evolution of fashion from the Georgian and Victorian
eras to what is trending now, and describing their differences and similarities. John Galliano and
Lagerfeld were inspired by Marie Antoinette s fashion, many covers from popular magazines such as
Vogue were representing Marie s style and other women that caused a major impact during both eras.
Clothing was intricate during many eras in England. The Georgian era was interesting and it was
focused on events like social dances, theatre, and other important events. It was known as the Regency
period and pastel and neutral colors were popular during that time. Marie Antoinette was the Queen of
France, set a trend called chemise a la reine . (thefashionhistorian.com). It was a dress made out of
muslin layers, and was loose with a sash belt around the waist. The women of France and England

Victorians took mourning serious, with people even bottling their mourning tears and women hired to

Similarities Between The Alhurcible And The Crucible
Now, the essay you are about to read is on The Crucible, The Hays Code, and McCarthyism and how
they connect. The Red Scare was also a part of this, as many people thought communist were in the
U.S. and caused hysteria and panic throughout the nation. If this is something that interest you then
please read on. The reason why Motion Picture Code and The Crucible Play were created, was
because of Joseph McCarthy. He had the idea that spies, communists, and sympathisers had infiltrated
the government. He told everyone that films were misleading the country about the real problems at
hand, such as the Cold War. He influenced people to change the way everyday life went. Was
originally known as the Motion Picture Production Code, also know as the Hays Code due to its
creator Will H.Hays. It was the first attempt at introducing film censorship in the U.S. through a series
of guidelines to film producers. The Crucible was a play, it was a dramatized and partially
fictionalized story on the Salem Witch Trials. They took place in the Massachusetts Bay Colony.
The first performance of The Crucible happened on January 22, 1953. The Hays Code started in 1922
and ended in 1945. Arthur Miller wrote the play trying to secure his career as a journalist and
playwright. That wasn t his only reasoning though, he used the play to alert the American people about
misinformation and propaganda in society. He also used the play to try and turn the Americans against

Rate of Reaction Using Enzymes
Rate of Reaction Using Enzymes
In this bit of coursework I will be investigating the rate of reaction in which enzymes are the catalyst
breaking down a substrate. The substrate I am going to use is Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2, water with
another Oxygen), this molecule usually breaks down on its own accord, but also the rate of
decomposition can be increased with the use of a catalyst; in this case the catalyst is a biological one
called an enzyme. Hydrogen Peroxide slowly breaks down on its own accord into water (H2O) and
oxygen (O2):
2 H2O2 à 2H2O + O2
Hydrogen Peroxide à Water + Oxygen
In my experiment, I want to investigate the rate of reaction with an enzyme, and the enzyme I ... Show

I would put the H2O2 in slowly every time in all my experiments, this would be so I do not lose
oxygen by giving the substrate energy to break down before the experiment had started. I would then
put the bung with the syringe through it in the test tube. I would stir the enzyme solution, this is
because the enzymes are in suspension and could be unevenly spread out through the water, and then
collect it using the 1ml syringe, because a 1ml syringe is more accurate for collecting 1ml than a 5ml
syringe is. I would then inject the enzyme solution through the syringe needle in the bung quickly into
the H2O2 for all of my experiments; I will inject it quickly because it is one of the factors I am going
to control throughout my experiments. I will then measure the amount of O2 given off at regular 20
second intervals. From my preliminary experiment, I chose to record the volume of O2 given off at 20
second intervals because I thought 30 seconds was too long an interval and 10 seconds was too quick
an interval.
I expect that as the concentration of H2O2 increases then so will the rate of reaction and the volume of
O2 will also increase. I think this because if the concentration increases, which means the higher the
concentration of

The Electric Guitar In The 1920 s
Music reflects the cultural trends and artistic inspiration of that current time. Because of how rapidly
changing society is, music has shifted through different stages quickly and thus has had the need for
innovation. The electric guitar was born out of necessity to keep up with the musical trends of the
1920 s and has since been a powerful influence in driving the music we have today. Contemporary
music has been strongly influenced by the Electric Guitar. It is staple instrument that is used in nearly
every genre and within every time period of the last century. Arguably, the Fender Stratocaster has
solidified its legacy as the most iconic instrument in contemporary music. In this paper, I will argue
that the success of the Electric Guitar was driven by technological, economical, and cultural
movements of the 20th century. . ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the early 1800 s Madrid was a thriving artistic centre which a huge emphasis on the arts. The
guitar was meant to be used as a tool for serious composers, Many notable composers such as
Ferandiere, Moretti, and Abreu were making music reflective of the political turmoil that was
happening in Europe at the time (Tyler 330). The modern guitar can be divided into the components of
the strings, the soundboard, and the soundbox. Overall, these components make up the system of using
a guitar. When a guitar string is plucked, it vibrates and creates a pressure wave consisting of
compressions and rarefactions. It is then transmitted by fluctuating air pressure. Because the strings
are attached to the soundboard, the sound is able to able to communicate the vibrations better. The
sound is then naturally amplified through the soundhole, which projects the vibrations to an audible

The Role Of Tyranny In Ancient Greece
Though usually spoken about now in the same breath as invading armies and rampaging people,
tyranny has root in many cultures as an instrument of change brought about by the people. In Ancient
Greece, tyranny shaped the future of the nation, and the world by allowing the people, though not by
voting, to put a person of popular choice in charge. If a leader was oppressive or cruel, the people
would revolt and place one of their own on the throne, giving them more say. Most tyrants were
benevolent rulers, though there were some rogues, quickly replaced.
Recently the word tyranny has acquired some rather negative connotations, but it was instrumental in
moving Ancient Greece, Athens specifically, from an oligarchy to the first real democracy.

What Was The Triple Alliance In 1914
It is human nature for people to look back at past events in retrospection, wondering if the outcome
would have changed if a decision was made differently. World War I, or the war to end all wars, began
in the summer of 1914, but it was the events leading up to it, such as the creation of alliances, which
decided the fate of the war. Alliances are formal military or political agreements between countries,
which state that the will back the other country in the event of an attack, either financially or through
declaring war. Mamy alliances were made prior to the start of World War I, and as a result, all
European countries, including central powers, were conjoined. These alliance systems were the

The Triple Alliance was a confidential alliance, which would militarily back the other country in the
event of a conflict. Germany was the strongest power in the alliance, with a growing military, and a
strong economy 1. Italy was the weakest country of the alliance due to the fact that it had a very weak
army and navy, which had little funding, but it had a geographical advantage compared to Austria and
Germany, so it served as a military base 2. Austria Hungary benefited from the alliance because it
protected them from Russia, who had conflicts with Austria in the Balkans and Bosnia 3. Another
alliance which played a prominent role in World War I, was the Triple Entente, which consisted of
Russia, France, and Great Britain. The Triple Entente was created in 1907, which like the Triple
Alliance, protect each other from attacks from a foreign country. The Triple Entente was a very
powerful alliance due to the fact that Britain had the strongest, most technologically advanced navy,
while France had a flourishing economy 4. The Triple Entente also had a geographical advantage over
the Triple Alliance, since it had the ability to attack the Triple Alliance on either side. Tom

  • 2. Advertising Strategy Of Coca-Cola INTRODUCTION It is rightly said that advertisement is as much a science as it is an art. advertisements are primary mode of communication in the field of marketing as it serves as a direct contact with the consumers of a product. an advertisement of any product is successful in making its place in the market only if it succesfully reaches and creates an attractive image of the product in the mind of the consumers. Coca Cola, a beverage company, is an American multinational beverage corporation and manufacturer, retailer, and marketer of non alcoholic beverage that is headquatered in Atlanta, Georgia. The company rightly claims its hold over the Indian market and remains one of the most famous soft drinks in India. The company has similar marketing strategies across geographies and usually doesn t depend on celebrity endorsements. • 3. What Does A Sport And Whether Or Not Cheerleading Should... When someone tells you to think of a sport I m sure the first thing that comes to mind is football, or basketball, or maybe baseball. But what about cheerleading? When you think of cheerleading do you just think of it as an activity that consists of chants on the sidelines with big pom poms, or do you think of it as a sport with extreme stunting such as tumbling, mounting, and tossing? The question of whether or not cheerleading is or should be recognized as an official sport has been debated since 1997 and still makes its way to court every few years. Throughout this research paper I will explore the question of what defines a sport and whether or not cheerleading should be considered one. Currently there are three different types of cheerleading you can participate in. The first form of cheerleading is Sideline Cheerleading (High School/ College Cheer). Sideline cheerleading s primary purpose is to serve as support group for athletic programs in the school, as well as entertaining the crowd through cheers, stunts, and dance. Competitive Cheerleading (All star/ College Cheer) is the second form of cheerleading and can be a mix of school squads and all star gym squads. For competitive cheerleading you compete against other squads or gyms with a two minute and thirty second routine. In these routines, the cheerleaders perform extreme tricks and higher level stunting and tumbling than sideline cheer in hopes of getting the highest scores possible. The last form of ... • 4. Case Study Of ABNAAMRO In 2007, ABN AMRO Holding NV was acquired by RFS, a consortium of banks comprising Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Fortis Bank NV/SA, and Banco Santander. The acquisition talks were initiated after a shareholder wrote a letter asking the CEO, Rijkman Groenink, and the supervisory board chairman, Arthur Martinez, to actively investigate a merger, acquisition or division of ABN AMRO. The motivation was that the share price did not reflect the true value of the underlying assets. On March 20, 2007, ABN AMRO established it was having merger talks with Barclays. On April 18, 2007, however, RBS contacted ABN AMRO to propose a deal in which the consortium RFS would bid for ABN AMRO and subsequently split the components of the firm. On 23 April, ABN AMRO and Barclays announced the proposed acquisition of ABN AMRO by Barclays. • 6. Factors Influencing Flashbulb Memories Factors Affecting Flashbulb Memories Flashbulb memories are the recollections of one s personal experiences upon learning about an important, emotionally arousing event. Originally pioneered by Brown and Kulik looking at the reactions to the assassination of President Kennedy, they found that people s memories were particularly vivid (1977). They hypothesised that as well as being extremely vivid, flashbulb memories are also characterised by long lasting accuracy. However, research has shown variation in the evidence supporting this notion, implying that there are a number of factors that influence the accuracy of flashbulb memories. It had also been argued that flashbulb memories cannot be characterised by accuracy at all, a debate that will also be considered. This essay will explore a number of factors that have been suggested by literature and evaluate its validity. Before reviewing the accuracy of flashbulb memory, it is important to consider that not all research supports Brown and Kulik s description of flashbulb memories as highly accurate (1977). For instance, Talarico and Rubin compared the consistency of September 11 terrorist attacks flashbulb memories with everyday memories and found no difference with equal amounts decay in both cases (2003). • 7. The Contributions Of John Stuart Mill John Stuart Mill was a British philosopher who was born on May 20, 1806 in London, England, to Harriet Burrow and James Mill, a noted economist, philosopher and historian. James Mill was an educated man who was heavily involved in an early 19th century movement called philosophic radicalism, a school of thought also known as Utilitarianism, which highlighted the demand for a scientific foundation for philosophy, as well as a humanist approach to economics politics. It was this foundation from which James Mill urged and advanced his eldest son s education from a very early age. John Stuart studied Greek at age three and Latin at eight, and he was asked to recite everything he had learned to his father every day. John Stuart also studied mathematics and science for his personal enjoyment and would engage in long discussions with his father about histories and biographies that he had read. It is interesting to note that John Stuart was also empowered with the responsible for educating his eight younger siblings. His childhood comprised of a strict environment of learning, teachings and tutoring, however, John Stuart felt that he was emotionally compromised by his father s educational plan. Although John Stuart never actually attended university, by the age of twenty, he essentially had a postgraduate self education in logic, political economy and law. Shakespeare s King Richard III and Al Pacino s 1996 documentary Looking for Richard enhance a deeper understanding of ambition and identity through depicting explicit connections between each text and their audience. Enhancement of each text is gained through differing contexts and text types which are presented through literary and cinematic techniques. Both composers use anachronisms to parallel beliefs and values such as ambition and identity which transcend both contexts. Ambition is an earnest desire for achievement. Both texts are self reflexive and emphasise Richard s obsessive ambition, desire and longing for the throne. Each Richard strives towards capturing the throne regardless of consequences and bloodshed. Richard is depicted in both texts as an ambitious character who strives to gain power and independence through deception and self confessed villainy. Since I cannot prove a lover. . . According to David Donahoo quoted in the Liberty Journal, The more information that is available in the cyber world, the larger the pie becomes as far as a cyber criminal is concerned. (Menard, 2015) In other words, information security is becoming a vital intrinsic absolute when we consider the luxury our technology has brought us on a daily basis. More so, in the spiritual sense the biblical doctrine of sanctification also plays a vital role in the health of our own spiritual lives. Sanctification as defined by Wayne Grudem, is a progressive work of God and man that makes us more and more free from sin and like Christ in our actual lives. (Grudem, 1994) With that said, ... I feel that recreational drugs today (not for medical use) should not be banned. I envision a world where drugs and even alcohol are legal. In my eyes the world does not appear different. • 13. A Chemical Reaction By Light Photocatalysis is the acceleration of a chemical reaction by light. The activity of these catalysts usually depends on their ability to produce pairs of negatively charged electrons and positively charged electron holes (electron hole pairs) on material surfaces, which is induced by light irradiation. An electron hole is the absence of an electron from the full valence band. Furthermore, as light interacts with matter in the form of energy packets, the photons, it excites an electron consequently causing it to move to a higher energy orbital leaving a vacancy, a hole, in its previous position (ground state orbital). The creation of these electron hole pairs brings about various chemical processes, such as the formation of free radicals. Free radicals are highly reactive chemical species, which may then go on to give secondary reactions. It is well documented that light energized, photocatalytic TiO2 is a safe, non toxic, anti oxidant that produces hydroxyl radicals (OH ) that are remarkably effective in rapidly decomposing organic compounds. When UV light is emitted on the titanium dioxide, electron are released. The electrons interact with water molecules (H2O) in the solution, breaking them up into hydroxyl radicals (OH·), which are highly reactive, short lived, uncharged forms of hydroxide ions (OH−). These agile hydroxyl radicals attack the organic (carbon based) molecules from which most dirt and other harmful chemicals are made of, breaking apart their chemical ... This Compare and Contrast essay states the differences and similarities of both. Including; Settings, clothes, origins and the modifications Disney made to the original tale. The fairytale was originally based upon Sir James M. Barrie s 1904 play about the boy who refuses to grow up, the film begins in the London nursery of Wendy, John, and Michael Darling, where three children are visited by Peter Pan. With the help of his tiny friend, Tinkerbell, Peter takes the three children on a magical flight to Never Land. Clothes wise, the fairytale s wardrobe is very different to Disneys film. In the original tale, Barrie never described Peter s appearance in detail, even in the novel Peter and Wendy , leaving much of it to the imagination of the reader and the interpretation of anyone adapting the character. For the purpose of exploration, the meaning of commodity shall be narrowed down to an economic good, that is subject to ready exchange or exploitation within a market . A trend that is developing in entertainment media today is the objectification of women in society. Specifically in indian movies, music videos, music, and television, there is strong focus on women as sexual objects rather than women. This is detrimental to society because the media is creating social stereotypes for both men and women that can result in unhealthy social and physical habits. The issue is especially prevalent because the more the media uses sexual content regarding women, the more viewers seem to buy into them. Thus, the media is able to shape the culture s sense of dating, romance, sex, and what is ideal within society. The sexual attitudes of society are shaped and that has effects that can affect all demographics among society. Advertising and media images that encourage girls to focus on looks and sexuality are harmful to their emotional and physical health. Women develop the ideal of seeing their bodies as not their personal self, but as sexual objects. That unhealthy train of thought can develop into recurring problems such as eating disorders, low self esteem, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 18. Summary Of The Worst Hard Time Egan The Worst Hard Time is a historical disaster novel published in 2006 written by New York Times journalist Timothy Egan. Egan wrote other novels about ecological disasters, such as The Big Burn: Teddy Roosevelt and the Fire that Saved America. In The Worst Hard Time, the author writes of families hit hardest by the Great Depression in areas like Texas, Kansas and the Oklahoma panhandle. There is no breakfast or lunch or dinner. If the resting of limbs aligns with a partially filled belly, I feel the day is well spent. This is my favorite time of the day, though. Supposedly different people looking alike, with freshly groomed up bodies but sullen faces rush about in the same direction, like the swarms of flies. There was a time when they were occupied by people more than they actually had room for. The doors were usually open, and if not for the adults, the kids running about often handed me some coins. Now things have changed. Houses are small, occupied by even smaller number of people. And forget about the doors, even the windows are shut tight. So when I get no luck with the shopkeepers, which is usually the case, I lie down for a nap. The earnings of the day are now over as I hardly get any in the evenings when the swarms of flies rush back to their places. With faces grimmer and more sullen than the morning, I am usually pushed off with a chiding this time. The nights are pretty with the glimmering of lights. I like to sit alone near the pond overly grown with vegetation and observe the shinning bulbs all over the city while I have my supper. There are more like me, hidden in open visibility among the roads, bridges and sides of stalls. We are ghosts to the people behind those lights, floating around with no destination, occasionally making their presence known for some coins before disappearing into the luminous darkness. • 20. Jumpa Lahiri s Interpreter Of Maladies Interpreter of Maladies is a collection of short stories written by Jumpa Lahiri. From the collection of stories, the last story, The third and the final continent was especially appealing to me. The story portrays an Indian man s journey from Calcutta to London and then to America. The most important aspect of the story is the narration of his arranged marriage with his wife. I believe, by this story the author portrays the positive side of arrange marriages. First, it is important to see the viewpoint of two characters towards marriage. For the narrator, an arrange marriage meant something that he had to do due to social norms. Specifically, when his brother arranged a marriage for him, he thought I regarded the proposition with neither objection nor enthusiasm. It was a duty expected of me, as it was expected of every man. Due to the lack of intimacy, the husband must have felt pressured to do a lot of work to make the marriage work. However, after his wife arrives at the airport, he sees her with saree properly fixed rather than dragging on the floor. By portraying this the author shows the audience that an arrange marriage between two complete strangers is not as bad as people imagine. Furthermore, the author shows that lack of communication between the husband and wife is a common issue for arranged marriages. A best example for this can be seen when the husband asked the wife to get dressed to go out, the wife overdressed for the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Red Scare was also a part of this, as many people thought communist were in the U.S. and caused hysteria and panic throughout the nation. If this is something that interest you then please read on. The reason why Motion Picture Code and The Crucible Play were created, was because of Joseph McCarthy. He had the idea that spies, communists, and sympathisers had infiltrated the government. He told everyone that films were misleading the country about the real problems at hand, such as the Cold War. He influenced people to change the way everyday life went. Was originally known as the Motion Picture Production Code, also know as the Hays Code due to its creator Will H.Hays. • 26. Rate of Reaction Using Enzymes Rate of Reaction Using Enzymes In this bit of coursework I will be investigating the rate of reaction in which enzymes are the catalyst breaking down a substrate. The substrate I am going to use is Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2, water with another Oxygen), this molecule usually breaks down on its own accord, but also the rate of decomposition can be increased with the use of a catalyst; in this case the catalyst is a biological one called an enzyme. Hydrogen Peroxide slowly breaks down on its own accord into water (H2O) and oxygen (O2): 2 H2O2 à 2H2O + O2 Hydrogen Peroxide à Water + Oxygen In my experiment, I want to investigate the rate of reaction with an enzyme, and the enzyme I ... I would put the H2O2 in slowly every time in all my experiments, this would be so I do not lose oxygen by giving the substrate energy to break down before the experiment had started. I would then put the bung with the syringe through it in the test tube. I would stir the enzyme solution, this is because the enzymes are in suspension and could be unevenly spread out through the water, and then collect it using the 1ml syringe, because a 1ml syringe is more accurate for collecting 1ml than a 5ml syringe is. I would then inject the enzyme solution through the syringe needle in the bung quickly into the H2O2 for all of my experiments; I will inject it quickly because it is one of the factors I am going to control throughout my experiments. I will then measure the amount of O2 given off at regular 20 second intervals. From my preliminary experiment, I chose to record the volume of O2 given off at 20 second intervals because I thought 30 seconds was too long an interval and 10 seconds was too quick an interval. I expect that as the concentration of H2O2 increases then so will the rate of reaction and the volume of O2 will also increase. When a guitar string is plucked, it vibrates and creates a pressure wave consisting of compressions and rarefactions. It is then transmitted by fluctuating air pressure. In Ancient Greece, tyranny shaped the future of the nation, and the world by allowing the people, though not by voting, to put a person of popular choice in charge. If a leader was oppressive or cruel, the people would revolt and place one of their own on the throne, giving them more say. Most tyrants were benevolent rulers, though there were some rogues, quickly replaced.
