Forman Framework Of Corus Entertainment
The storytelling strategies exhibited by Corus Entertainment can be analyzed more closely through the
Forman Framework. As a guide for organizations, the primary function of the Forman Framework is
to determine whether storytelling efforts by companies are successful in components such as: building
trust, fluency, and authenticity.
The Forman Framework As mentioned previously, Corus is successful in exhibiting authenticity over
all their communication platforms as their words match their deeds. Moreover, their vision, story, and
micronarratives consist of both tacit and explicit knowledge that can be verified by employees and
partners. Thus, Corus does not advertise false information or follow a persona of more talk, less action

For example, all updates are published to the company website and social media platforms in the same
order and frequently. Considering how consistent the brand is with publishing content, their stories are
able to deliver authenticity and fluency in ways that sustain their competitive advantage. Corus can
also be highly commended on their vision driven narrative which has remained the same since 1999.
By continuing to work towards achieving the company s vision, Corus has solidified their masterplot
and prioritized the micronarratives of their employees and affiliated brands, thereby allowing personal
values to align with those of the company. Through strong storytelling strategies, Corus has grown
into one of Canada s most influential integrated media and entertainment companies; their
achievement of 900 awards in 15 years proves their success (Corus Entertainment,

Math In The Criminal Justice System
In this day and age, math is utilized everywhere. Math can be found in books, television and schools.
However, above all, math is found in each employment. We may not trust that math is applied all
around, until we end up using it for the easiest things. Occupations require their employees to know
essential math for basic things, for example, running a money enlist and numbering deals. Math is
necessary in the world. Without math, the world would be very different. Each occupation utilizes
basic math to take care of fundamental issues and to solve basic problems. A job that requires math is
an educator or teacher. There are diverse math classes students can take at school. In high school,
understudies are learning Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A sales associate is in charge of working with customers to help find what they want to ensure a
smooth transaction. Math is used in this occupation when the sales associate counts money during a
transaction. The sales associate makes sure the customer gives the correct amount of money and
counts the amount owed. When there is a discount on certain items in the store, the sales associate
must subtract the correct amount to have an accurate discounted price. Tasks such as counting and
keeping track of money in registers is math. Similarly, a store manager runs the store and makes sure
the store meets budget and sales goals. Working in a retail store uses the simplest math such as adding
and subtracting. Computing the total amount of sales, calculating the percentages of discounts, and
determining the amount of sales tax is basic math used every day by a sales associate on the

The Lie Factory Summary
In The Lie Factory, Jill Lepore examines the great influence that money and business have in politics.
The first major event that clearly demonstrates this occurred in the 1934 election for governor of
California. Upton Sinclair seemed to lead the race, until Campaign Inc, founded by Clem Whitaker
and Leone Baxter, was hired to take him down. Their influence of that particular election led to
politics becoming essentially, the money making industry that it is today.
Lepore utilizes several quotes in her examination. She starts off with a kind of a remarkable event, that
leaves readers asking how it happened. After shocking or impressing the reader with the event, she
then explains it in a step by step analysis that is backed by her great use ... Show more content on

This statement is very true. What it is basically saying is that Americans, not all of them, but a lot of
them, do not take the time to really think about their voting decisions. This is turn makes Whitaker s
and Baxter s job so much easier. Since Americans do not really take the time to inform or educate
themselves in the person they are voting for, their campaign ads do not have to be all that clever or
complex. This is still true today. A lot of people just vote for their party, regardless of the candidate
that is chosen to represent their party. Rarely do people take a look at the person, rather than the party.
One candidate could be more qualified to be president, but just because they do not represent the same
party as the voter, people will not vote for them. The general public needs to educate themselves more
before they vote. Too many people just go with their first instinct, and do not think about the choice
that they are about to make. Surface level knowledge is not enough, especially in elections that could
have a big impact on the country. People just need to think and research a little bit more on their own,
so they can make a more informed and well thought out decision, without being influenced by
advertisements or other

Claude Lorraine And Nicolas Poussin
By the beginning of the 17th century Britain became a worldwide trading nation.
Enormous personal fortunes were created and the aristocracy turned their attention to the improvement
and embellishment of their estates. Many were educated and well versed in the arts and classics. It was
the age of the grand tour, a journey of artistic refinement through France and Italy. They came back
enthralled with Palladian architecture and seeing visions of Claude s ideal landscapes in their own
domains, where they proceeded to create an Elysium, their interpretation of the age old ideal of the
paradise garden.

Short Paper 3
Comparison of A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings and The Handsomest Drowned Man
The old man from the story A very old man with enormous wings and Esteban from the story The
Handsomest drowned man in the world are opposites of each other, maybe the only similarity that
they have is that they are both flat and static characters. First, they are different in terms on how they
are portrayed. The old man who is an angel, was portrayed as an ugly old man who doesn t even
resemble an angel. We can see this in paragraph 2, He was dressed like a rag picker. There were only a
few faded hairs left on his bald skull and very few teeth in his mouth... While Esteban who is a only a
dead guy was portrayed as a good looking guy. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While, Esteban who is just an ordinary person and at the same time a dead man, was portrayed as a
good looking guy, We can see this in paragraph 4, Not only was he the tallest and strongest, most
virile, and best built man they had ever seen, but even though they were looking at him there was no
room for him in their imagination . What s ironic here is even though he is a drowned dead man who
is supposed to be portrayed as a man full of anguish, he is still portrayed as a good looking as peaceful
looking man. And even though he is already, many women still fantasize him.
Lastly, the old man, who is an angel, symbolizes Jesus Christ. The old man and Jesus Christ are very
much alike. They are both doubted by the people around them even though they had already
performed many miracles that no ordinary human can do. They are also both mistreated by people
despite of their power. In paragraph 4, tossing him things to eat through the openings in the wire as if
weren t a supernatural creature but a circus animal . From this line, we can conclude that the angel was
treated like a freak show by the people. The same as Jesus Christ, he was tortured by the soldiers even
though it is clear to them that he is a supernatural being.

John Stuart Mill Is A Man Essay
John Stuart Mill is a man that has been immortalized by the public as both a genius, and a man before
his own time. He has made countless contributions to philosophy, ethics, economics, and politics; he
was a man not afraid to speak his mind, often to a candour level that become expected of Mill s works
(Browne 274). This frankness became attached to Mill s, as he was typically swift and cunning in the
disablement of opposing views and logical backing of his own. However, because of this, and his
often debated stances, Mill often faced scrutiny over his beliefs, from authors such as Matthew
Browne. His opponents were often quick to say how much it pains them to argue against Mill s point
of view. As Browne said, To any one who regards the genius and character of Mr. Mill with such
serious homage as the writer of these lines, it is a task of peculiar difficulty, and also a considerable
pain, to express, and especially to express in public, strong though qualified dissent from his opinions
upon an important question (Browne 273). However, before we indulge into both the greatness and
questioning of Mill s work it is important to understand how this man came to be. I remember one day
asking my father why it was that he pushed me so hard and seemed to always expect the best out of
me. Upon saying this I saw a softness enter his eyes, one that I had seen before, but in some way one
that made me feel sadden as I suddenly saw the age enter his face. I knew he was going to say

The Pursuit Of Happiness Character Analysis
The Struggle life of Chris Gardner The film The Pursuit of Happiness, rated PG 13 is based on real
history where Chris Gardner (Will Smith) invests all his savings in medical scanners that he wants to
sell to doctors and hospitals, but they are too expensive that doctors and hospitals consider them
unnecessary. Garden is financially unstable, causing his wife Linda (Thandie Newton) to leave
Gardner and their son Christopher (Jaden Smith) to work in New York. Gardner knows Jay Twistle
(Brian Howe) who works in the company Gardner would like to work with. Twistle sets up an
interview for Gardner. While Gardner is working with the company s internship program called
Powerful Stock Brokerage Firm, which is an unpaid job, it leads Gardner to financial problems which
in turn, causes him and his son to be homeless. With all that stress from working hard, being
homeless, and having his son to take care of, Gardner pushes through it landing a job in the company
where eventually he became very wealthy. The pursuit of Happiness offers hope to viewers to follow
their dreams and not give up, no matter what situations they are going through. Throughout the film,
Gardner portrays hope to keep going in order to show his son that anything is possible. According to

All the data was fitted satisfactorily using the equivalent circuit shown in Fig. 7. Where, Rs, CPE1 and
R1 represent solution resistance, a constant phase element corresponding to the double layer
capacitance and the charge transfer resistance, respectively. CPE2 and R2 were added to account for
the electrical elements of the outer layer. The following formula expressed the electrode impedance, Z,
as follow: Z = Rs + [Rct/ {1 +(2 π f Rct Cdl)α }] (8) Where α is an empirical parameter (0 ≤α≤1) and f
is the frequency in Hz. This formula considered the deviation from the ideal RC behavior due to
surface inhomogeneties, roughness effects, and different compositions of surface layers 40, 41. The
first time constant at low frequency range was claimed to the presence of an inhomogeneous passive
film 42. A constant phase element (CPE) was used instead of a pure capacitance due to these
inhomogenities, which were found at the oxide/electrolyte interface and under the oxide film. CEE
can be introduced in terms of impedance from the following equation: Zw= Zo i(W) n Where Zo is the
CPE constant, W is the angular frequency (in rad/s), i2 = 1 is the imaginary number and (n) is the CPE
exponent. Based on (n), CPE can represent resistance (n = 0, Zo = R), ... Show more content on

The J. Paul Getty Museum
For this essay, we were required to go to the Getty Villa in Malibu and look for specific works of art in
the J. Paul Getty Museum. The Getty Villa is on a hill adjacent to Malibu beach and requires a
reservation to get inside. They do not allow pedestrian entrances, so I had to take public transportation
and show proof of my Metro bus receipt to get in. Once inside, I took a shuttle up a curvy hill to the
actual museum. When I got to the actual entrance, I was taken aback by how beautiful not only the
view was, but the Villa was as well. It did not take me long to find the five artworks. The first work of
art we were required to look at was a grave stele. There were a collection of them against a wall on the
second floor of the Getty Villa. The one that stuck out the most to me was titled Grave Stele of
Herophanta and Posideos which was dated around 150 B.C. It is a Greek grave stele that was made in
Smyrna, which is what we today call Turkey. The stele was around 4 feet tall and made out of marble.
The back of the stele was not viewable, but the front had a lot of detail. On the front at the top displays
what resembles a triangular pediment typically seen in Greek temples. Underneath that are two wreath
like objects. In the center, there is a portrait that shows a family consisting of a husband and wife with
two children. The woman is holding a wreath and the two kids are crowded around the father. Each

Descriptives Of El Nino
El nino is a temporary change in climate in the pacific ocean,in the region around the equator. You can
see Typically, the ocean surface warms up by a few degrees celsius.
El Niño is a climate cycle in the Pacific Ocean with a global impact on weather patterns. The cycle
begins when warm water in the western tropical Pacific Ocean shifts eastward along the equator
toward the coast of South America
Normally, this warm water pools near Indonesia and the Philippines. During an El Niño, the Pacific s
warmest surface waters sit offshore of northwestern South America.
Forecasters declare an official El Niño when they see both ocean temperatures and rainfall from
storms veer to the east. Experts also look for prevailing trade winds to weaken and even reverse
direction during the El Niño climate phenomenon. These changes set up a feedback loop between the
atmosphere and the ocean that boosts El Niño conditions. The El Niño forecast for 2015 is expected to
be one of the strongest on record, according to Mike Halpert, the deputy director of the Climate
Prediction Center, part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
We don t want to see just the warming in the ocean. We want to see the atmosphere above the ocean
respond to the changes, said Michelle L Heureux, a climate scientist and lead for the El Niño
forecasting team at the Climate Prediction Center.

I Attended The Temple College Vocal Point Concert
I attended the Temple College Vocal Point concert on November 1, 2016 at 12:30 pm in the Jackson
Graeter Backstage Theatre. The Theatre, located in the Mary Alice Marshal Performing Arts Center, at
Temple College is small, seating approximately 100 people. Since the setting is quaint, it makes for a
personal experience, allowing the audience to truly see and hear the entertainers character. The stage
size also has a downside, at times the actors would trip over each other while dancing. The Vocal Point
concert titled From Rent to Now: The last 20 Years of Broadway: is directed by Dr. Sara Baker. This
Contemporary Broadway show consists of sixteen characters. It is a spoof on musicals. The opening
scene played by Trey Shonkwiler and Konnor Widmann was funny, and catchy. They sang A Musical
from Something Rotten! Shonkwiler is a Tenor, while Widmann is a Baritone. Together they made
beautiful harmonies, they complimented each other vocally, and as actors very well. The next song
Mama Who Bore Me from Spring Awakening was sung by all the women, with a soloist. Kristen
Garth has a lovely alto voice, her performance was unconfident, and a bit nervous, she had a few notes
that were flat, overall it was nice. There were a few moments where the background singers were too
loud, overpowering the soloist. When He Sees Me, from Waitress, sung by Kris Glorsorio was
wonderful. She has a beautiful Alto/ Mezzo voice. She connected wholly with her character, I thought

Argumentative Essay On Hook Up Culture
There is a lot of faux concern among conservatives about how much more promiscuous millennials
are, as opposed to previous generations and how that sexual freedom is hindering overall growth and
emotional stability. Indeed, a recent study at James Madison University hooking up or dating: who
benefits? conducted by Carolyn Bradshaw and her colleagues, sparked an outcry for how millennials
no longer care for dating, and inspired numerous articles about the death of chivalry and romance.
These concerns, however, are exaggerated. Sex is sex, and as it turns out, there are more benefits to
the no strings attached culture of hookups than critics suggest. In her most recent article in The
Atlantic, Boys on the Side , Hanna Rosin wrote an insightful piece in which she argues the merits of

The I m a broke college student statement is one that many can identify with. While millennials are
consistently labeled as commitment phobes, the truth is, this lifestyle is embraced mostly because it s
the only one many can financially afford. When one takes into account the amount that goes towards
buying an exclusive partner holiday gifts, anniversary celebrations, birthdays, for broke college
students, the overall sum is preposterous. Add the opportunity cost of spending time with a partner
instead of actually investing that time in one s job, internship, and academic success, and the numbers
go up even more. This is why hook up culture is important. According to Andrew 21, a typical hookup
involves a couple of cheap drinks and having a good time: there are no rights or wrongs, as long as no
one catches feelings . Meha 22, added: hooking up gives women the opportunity to focus on their
personal goals. Instead of investing my time with a partner who may or may not be in my future in the

Friday Night Lights Book vs. Movie Essay
Friday Night lights
Is High School football a sport, or is it more than that to some people? I ve learned that the book is
more sociological, which means that it focused on our human society of racial issues and also
emphasizes the economy and the divide between the wealthy residents of one city versus the more
working class denizens of another are all subjects that are given an in depth examination. This is more
of the main or focal point of the whole book and in not so much in the movie. Although Bissinger s
story is a true life recounting of the 1988 football season of the Permian High School team, it reads
like fiction and even though I believe his book is superior, the theatrical adaptation still stands apart as

Death Of A Salesman Play Analysis
On February 10, 1949, Arthur Miller s Death of a Salesman premiered for the first time at the
Morosco Theatre in New York, NY. Initial reviews were positive, and the play was described as a
notable piece of stagecraft . Ever since, there have been thousands of productions of Miller s famous
play, including a recent production at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre in 2012. However, this production
did not garner the same successes as its predecessors, despite the production was intended to become a
revival of the play, with a fresh interpretation. In his article, Erik Haagensen analyzes Mike Nichols

Haagensen compliments Wittrock s ability to find the balance between Happy s flirtatious, superficial
side and his zealous, family oriented side. Haagensen laments that Wittrock would have been a much

how audiences have previously perceived Linda Loman. Rather than the submissive wife, Emond
portrays Linda as a fiery mother who goes toe to toe with her husband and children. Haagensen
suggests that while she gives a strong performance, certain choices in delivery make some moments
fall flat. Another character Haagensen makes note of is Willy s dead brother Ben, played by John
Glover. The character, which is presented as a figment of Willy s mind, is portrayed by Glover with
...a heightened energy that transcends naturalism (Haagensen 18). Haagensen claims the production
has both positive casting choices, but also very negative ones. However, to him, the negatives far
outweigh the positives. In Haagensen s review, the casting choices made by Nichols singlehandedly

Agricultural production entails investment of resources and farmers will have no incentive for making
investments in areas where there is little opportunity for marketing their products or if the returns
accruing from the sales of agricultural products do not reflect the opportunity cost of investment. As a
result, most farmers in areas with few marketing opportunities are engaged primarily in subsistence
agriculture, which has constrained improvement in their quality of life [3]. The problem of market
access is linked to the inability of farmers to meet market standards, low volumes of produce, wide
dispersion of producers, presence of middlemen and perceived low prices in the formal market [1 7].
Therefore, development policies in Ghana have focused on the modernization and commercialization
of the agricultural sector in addressing the major agricultural production and marketing challenges.
[8,9]. The development policy of the Food and Agricultural Sectors II (FASDEP II) is notably among
these policies. It seeks to increase both the competitiveness and integration of farmers in domestic and
international markets by producing the required volumes as well as the quality of commodities on a
timely basis. Specifically, strategies adopted by this policy to

pleasure...but also some useful advice. The stories of The Decameron are clearly meant to have some
sort of instructive value. However, whether this advice is useful and productive or not is up for debate.
Most of the stories, especially the tenth story of the fifth day, have misogynistic statements. In this
story, an old woman tells a married woman that women exist for no other purpose than to...bear
children (472). This contributes to the limitation of female ambition and the worth with which women
see themselves.

Juvenile Delinquency Essay
Juvenile delinquents, or youth that have been convicted of a crime, seem to be the norm these days.
Citizens, families, and poliy makers want new programs and policies within the juvenile justice
system. Researchers have found that the family structure can be a precursor to delinquent behavior,
and families do not have the control or blance that they once did. As such, mew measures need to be
implemented to help these families in crisis. Rehabilitation of the family unit is the answer, say many,
not punishment. In response to this, new ideas have formed to rehabilitate the family unit, but first, the
family structures that are precursors to delinquent behavior must be identified. Family Life,
Delinquency, and Crime: A Policymaker s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The book focuses on single parent homes, parental involvement, family tension and family economics
as key factors of juvenile delinquency. Although, Mr. Trojanowicz states family economics plays a key
role in determining juvenile delinquency. A family s inability to provide for the material needs of a
child can create insecurity in a child, thus, the child may seek material needs and suport from outside
the family (77). In conclusion he finds that many delinquents do not come from low income families,
and the economic condition of the family is probably one of the least meaningful contributing factors.
The research clearly shows and supports the theory that the family structure is directly related to
juvenile delinquency. What is society doing to help these families in trouble? Competency Training,
the Office of Juvenile Justice and Dleinquency Prevention (OJJDP), examines one of the family
programs that have been established. The program they examined was, Iowa s Strenghtening Families
Program. (ISFP) The SFP is a 7 week course designed to bring parents together with their 10 to 14
year old children, with the goal of reducing substance abuse and other problem behavior in youth. The
curriculum uses parallel content to emphasize, to the family and the youth, improved parenting skills,
and better communication for both parents and the youth. For example, while the parents are learning

Business Model Generation
Business Model Generation Exercise 2
Ken Davis
Liberty University
April 23, 2017
Introduction The foundational principle of a company is its business model. A business model defines
the aspects associated with the business, such as the focus, values, strategy, innovations and both the
traditional and non traditions system accompanying the lean internal and external factors that set the
company apart from others. These are the suggested external factors of a business model, which
defines the roles of external factors of demand.
The Role of External Factors of Demand External factors are the environmental conception of the
design space, which is conceived or acclimate the business model, which considers the design

The strategy is also an important external factor as the strategy of the business officiate both the
internal and external components of time. For instance, having the employee to submit the mail at the
exit of the business, saves money, as there is no need to hire a mail clerk. Also, outsource the mailbox
to a business client, who handles package delivery, thus gaining an affiliate business and client. As
simple as it is, it is more so innovative. These external factors build a company process of
improvement in value, time, and incorporates a strategy.
What is Business Model Design and Innovation? A business model design and innovation is the value
a company brings to the market. Osterwalder, Pigneur (2010) mentions four mapping four primary
areas of environment, market forces, industry forces, key trends, and macroeconomics forces (p. 200).
Each one of these four factors are important to a business model. The innovation that is required to
make each mapping to become a success is much needed.
Marketing forces. Marketing forces make up a great deal of success in a business model design. In
fact, Arons, Van den Driest, Weed (2014), says that what marketers do to engage the customer has
changed almost beyond recognition. For instance, in times past marketers would fan the mall looking
for participants. Today, marketers have contracts with certain industry affiliate companies to submit
questionnaires to them who are interested in winning prizes, money, or

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Second Language Acquisition
Second language acquisition is a process whereby people learn an additional language on top of their
native ones. Learning a second language can be functional to oneself especially when communicating
with a person whom you do not have a common language with. In acquiring the second language,
there will be difficulties that one might face as compared to acquiring the first language, which makes
it harder to acquire. Our mother tongue is easier to learn as we would have been brought up by our
parents or grandparents that speak the language. Learning a second language can be difficult as we are
not brought up for that language and would not know the basis of it. Some factors that makes it hard is
the age of the learner, experience, the cognitive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This refers to the way the learner understands, analyze and interpret the information he/she
accumulates. Without proper understanding, the language can be misused and might lead to social
arguments. In cognitive style, there are two different types that plays a part Field independence and
Field dependence. Field independence is whereby the learner analyzes the information and branching
out the most relevant to the irrelevant information that helps his or her study of the language. Field
dependence on the other hand is the opposite whereby the learner takes into account all the
information without highlighting the key points. It is important for earners to adopt cognitive styles to
ensure that they have understood the language thoroughly so as to not make any mistakes while
communicating. The best style to adopt would be the Field Independence. By noting down the specific
points, a learner can better understand the use of the language appropriately. (Parker Riley, 2010, p.

first language for example, acquisition of phonology. Through this, he/she can learn how and why a
certain word is pronounced in such a way. Acquiring this while at a young age can help them speak
the language fluently and with the right tone. If this stage is being followed during the acquisition of
the second language, the learner can better understand how the language is truly spoken. (Parker

Ancient Sumer s History
Sumer s history began long before humans invented writing to record historical events. Much of what
we know of pre historic Sumer was found in archeological ruins, which told of a people who gradually
switched from a hunting and gathering society to a settled, agriculture based culture. As agriculture
could produce a surplus of food, people found they could devote their time to other work besides that
in the fields. A surplus of food could also sustain a larger population, which congregated at first in
small villages. As time went on, many small villages became the first cities, one of them being Eridu,
according to the Mesopotamians themselves. Scholars, however, consider Uruk to be the first city in
history. Other Sumerian cities include ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
came the first villages and the beginning of towns. By 3500 B.C. the Sumerian city states began
forming, all centered around temples to the gods. By this time, Sumerian people had invented writing,
the wheel, irrigation and water control and sailboats. One of the names for Mesopotamia is the cradle
of civilization, as the land between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers was the birthplace of civilization
as we know it.
Sumer s city states were first ruled by priest kings known as Ensi. As society grew more complex,
however, and city states began battling over land and water rights, a secular kingship began, with the
rule of a city state in the hands of Lugal, or strong man. The Lugal supervised wars and oversaw
important trade with other lands. Trade brought in goods such as metal ores that were unobtainable in
Sumer itself. It was probably the necessity of record keeping in long distance trade that spurred the
development of cuneiform writing.
While the archeological record reveals the life of common Sumerians, the Sumerian King List
provides some detail of Sumer s kings. The King List, a cuneiform document that lists and briefly
describes all the kings of the region beginning with Etana of Kish, who ruled c. 3100 B.C. A scribe in
the city of Lagash wrote the document around 2100 B.C. at the instigation of a king who wished to
legitimate his rule by connecting his name with the known kings and their great

Dr Pepper 10 Ad Analysis
Diet is never on a man s mind; therefore, diet drinks would never be an option for a manly man. For
men who want to experience the thrill of a regular soda drink such as Coke, but do not want the
amount of calories it includes, there is one answer to this pandemic, Dr. Pepper 10. The enthusiastic
commercial depicts a man with a majestic beard in the wild having a delightful time with the most
fierce predators in that environment such as bears and eagles. According to Dr. Pepper, males must
have some sort of caloric intake in a drink in order to be classified as a manly man in society. Dr.
Pepper introduced the all new Dr. Pepper 10 to the public which states that it has only 10 calories. One
may say it was a product for all of humanity, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to this ad, the Dr. Pepper 10 drinks are for males only. In order for someone to consume a
can of Dr. Pepper 10, they must meet one criteria, they must be a male. Though this ad is directed
toward the male population, Dr. Pepper revealed this ad in a comical way. In the ad, the man was
walking in the woods eating a piece of wood. Also, during the entirety of the ad, one may agree to the
statement that the background music was a way to exploit comedic relief while disclosing the sexist
information. The music was intended to ease the tension one may have felt from this ad. The logic
behind the comedic relief was to express a very sexist message in a humorous way in order to keep
peace within the society. One may agree that the ad was executed perfectly by breaking the fourth
wall; the bearded man stared directly at the camera and smiled which indicated that the ad was formed
for entertainment purposes, but also to express a message in a non offending manner. Stereotyping
men to be manly and strong looking was an excellent method to grab ahold of the men in life that
consists of a nine to five day jobs, have kids to take care of, and wives they must please in order to
maintain balance and peace within the house. This ad was stereotyped to the demographic of men
because women already have their own niche drink, Diet Dr. Pepper. Men also need their own niche
drink that contains calories and exclusive to men. If Dr. Pepper

A Report On Shopping Carts
Shopping carts have come a long way since bags, baskets, and early cart designs. The current design
maximizes storage with a big basket, a rack, and a child seat, but is missing technology to make
shopping easier. Smartphones are so commonly used in this day and age and SmartCart, our product,
utilizes current technology like smartphones. With the SmartCart app, customers are able to make
lists, compare prices, and prepare their shopping trip. When they arrive at the store, they can sync their
pre made trip from their phones to a screen on the shopping cart. This makes shopping quicker and
more efficient, for you can see any information you may need on items right on your cart. The
SmartCart perfectly combines current technology with our breakthrough technology that is not present
in grocery stores today. With any new product and technology, there are things that could go wrong.
However SmartCart creates an overall better shopping experience and has a big upside.
Present Technology
Shopping carts today include features and storage Goldman would be proud of. A standard cart
contains a single basket with a rack on the bottom, four wheels, and a seat for infants and small
children. Carts are easy to push and hold lots of items. There is even a way to push one cart inside of
another to save space while storing. The shopping cart mostly ensures maximum storage and easiest
movement, but there are still limitations present and room to improve. The current shopping

and reputation of the hero rather than a deeper code of morality as it might suggest. The gae bolga,
Efnisien, Mider s love for Etain, and Rhiannon s magic bag are all instruments of unworldly power,

Cuchulainn as the agent of fate. It might be of no coincidence that both Cuchulainn s and Ferdia s

she knows Cuchulainn s fate and his dedication to his heroic role in fighting for the honor of Ulster.

We may not trust that math is applied all around, until we end up using it for the easiest things. Occupations require their employees to know essential math for basic things, for example, running a money enlist and numbering deals. Math is necessary in the world. Without math, the world would be very different. Each occupation utilizes basic math to take care of fundamental issues and to solve basic problems. • 5. The Lie Factory Summary In The Lie Factory, Jill Lepore examines the great influence that money and business have in politics. The first major event that clearly demonstrates this occurred in the 1934 election for governor of California. Upton Sinclair seemed to lead the race, until Campaign Inc, founded by Clem Whitaker and Leone Baxter, was hired to take him down. Their influence of that particular election led to politics becoming essentially, the money making industry that it is today. Lepore utilizes several quotes in her examination. She starts off with a kind of a remarkable event, that leaves readers asking how it happened. After shocking or impressing the reader with the event, she then explains it in a step by step analysis that is backed by her great use ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This statement is very true. What it is basically saying is that Americans, not all of them, but a lot of them, do not take the time to really think about their voting decisions. This is turn makes Whitaker s and Baxter s job so much easier. Since Americans do not really take the time to inform or educate themselves in the person they are voting for, their campaign ads do not have to be all that clever or complex. This is still true today. A lot of people just vote for their party, regardless of the candidate that is chosen to represent their party. Rarely do people take a look at the person, rather than the party. One candidate could be more qualified to be president, but just because they do not represent the same party as the voter, people will not vote for them. The general public needs to educate themselves more before they vote. Too many people just go with their first instinct, and do not think about the choice that they are about to make. Surface level knowledge is not enough, especially in elections that could have a big impact on the country. People just need to think and research a little bit more on their own, so they can make a more informed and well thought out decision, without being influenced by advertisements or other ... They came back enthralled with Palladian architecture and seeing visions of Claude s ideal landscapes in their own domains, where they proceeded to create an Elysium, their interpretation of the age old ideal of the paradise garden. Short Paper 3 Comparison of A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings and The Handsomest Drowned Man The old man from the story A very old man with enormous wings and Esteban from the story The Handsomest drowned man in the world are opposites of each other, maybe the only similarity that they have is that they are both flat and static characters. First, they are different in terms on how they are portrayed. The old man who is an angel, was portrayed as an ugly old man who doesn t even resemble an angel. We can see this in paragraph 2, He was dressed like a rag picker. There were only a few faded hairs left on his bald skull and very few teeth in his mouth... While, Esteban who is just an ordinary person and at the same time a dead man, was portrayed as a good looking guy, We can see this in paragraph 4, Not only was he the tallest and strongest, most virile, and best built man they had ever seen, but even though they were looking at him there was no room for him in their imagination . What s ironic here is even though he is a drowned dead man who is supposed to be portrayed as a man full of anguish, he is still portrayed as a good looking as peaceful looking man. And even though he is already, many women still fantasize him. Lastly, the old man, who is an angel, symbolizes Jesus Christ. The old man and Jesus Christ are very much alike. They are both doubted by the people around them even though they had already performed many miracles that no ordinary human can do. They are also both mistreated by people despite of their power. In paragraph 4, tossing him things to eat through the openings in the wire as if weren t a supernatural creature but a circus animal . From this line, we can conclude that the angel was treated like a freak show by the people. • 9. John Stuart Mill Is A Man Essay John Stuart Mill is a man that has been immortalized by the public as both a genius, and a man before his own time. He has made countless contributions to philosophy, ethics, economics, and politics; he was a man not afraid to speak his mind, often to a candour level that become expected of Mill s works (Browne 274). This frankness became attached to Mill s, as he was typically swift and cunning in the disablement of opposing views and logical backing of his own. However, because of this, and his often debated stances, Mill often faced scrutiny over his beliefs, from authors such as Matthew Browne. His opponents were often quick to say how much it pains them to argue against Mill s point of view. As Browne said, To any one who regards the genius and character of Mr. Mill with such serious homage as the writer of these lines, it is a task of peculiar difficulty, and also a considerable pain, to express, and especially to express in public, strong though qualified dissent from his opinions upon an important question (Browne 273). However, before we indulge into both the greatness and questioning of Mill s work it is important to understand how this man came to be. I remember one day asking my father why it was that he pushed me so hard and seemed to always expect the best out of me. Upon saying this I saw a softness enter his eyes, one that I had seen before, but in some way one that made me feel sadden as I suddenly saw the age enter his face. I knew he was going to say ... • 11. Nt1310 Lab Report All the data was fitted satisfactorily using the equivalent circuit shown in Fig. 7. Where, Rs, CPE1 and R1 represent solution resistance, a constant phase element corresponding to the double layer capacitance and the charge transfer resistance, respectively. CPE2 and R2 were added to account for the electrical elements of the outer layer. The following formula expressed the electrode impedance, Z, as follow: Z = Rs + [Rct/ {1 +(2 π f Rct Cdl)α }] (8) Where α is an empirical parameter (0 ≤α≤1) and f is the frequency in Hz. This formula considered the deviation from the ideal RC behavior due to surface inhomogeneties, roughness effects, and different compositions of surface layers 40, 41. The first time constant at low frequency range was claimed to the presence of an inhomogeneous passive film 42. A constant phase element (CPE) was used instead of a pure capacitance due to these inhomogenities, which were found at the oxide/electrolyte interface and under the oxide film. CEE can be introduced in terms of impedance from the following equation: Zw= Zo i(W) n Where Zo is the CPE constant, W is the angular frequency (in rad/s), i2 = 1 is the imaginary number and (n) is the CPE exponent. • 12. The J. Paul Getty Museum For this essay, we were required to go to the Getty Villa in Malibu and look for specific works of art in the J. Paul Getty Museum. The Getty Villa is on a hill adjacent to Malibu beach and requires a reservation to get inside. They do not allow pedestrian entrances, so I had to take public transportation and show proof of my Metro bus receipt to get in. Once inside, I took a shuttle up a curvy hill to the actual museum. When I got to the actual entrance, I was taken aback by how beautiful not only the view was, but the Villa was as well. It did not take me long to find the five artworks. The first work of art we were required to look at was a grave stele. There were a collection of them against a wall on the second floor of the Getty Villa. The one that stuck out the most to me was titled Grave Stele of Herophanta and Posideos which was dated around 150 B.C. It is a Greek grave stele that was made in Smyrna, which is what we today call Turkey. The stele was around 4 feet tall and made out of marble. The back of the stele was not viewable, but the front had a lot of detail. On the front at the top displays what resembles a triangular pediment typically seen in Greek temples. Underneath that are two wreath like objects. In the center, there is a portrait that shows a family consisting of a husband and wife with two children. The woman is holding a wreath and the two kids are crowded around the father. Each member of the family is wearing stylized drapery. Underneath the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. Descriptives Of El Nino El nino is a temporary change in climate in the pacific ocean,in the region around the equator. You can see Typically, the ocean surface warms up by a few degrees celsius. El Niño is a climate cycle in the Pacific Ocean with a global impact on weather patterns. The cycle begins when warm water in the western tropical Pacific Ocean shifts eastward along the equator toward the coast of South America Normally, this warm water pools near Indonesia and the Philippines. During an El Niño, the Pacific s warmest surface waters sit offshore of northwestern South America. Forecasters declare an official El Niño when they see both ocean temperatures and rainfall from storms veer to the east. Experts also look for prevailing trade winds to weaken and even reverse direction during the El Niño climate phenomenon. These changes set up a feedback loop between the atmosphere and the ocean that boosts El Niño conditions. The Theatre, located in the Mary Alice Marshal Performing Arts Center, at Temple College is small, seating approximately 100 people. Since the setting is quaint, it makes for a personal experience, allowing the audience to truly see and hear the entertainers character. The stage size also has a downside, at times the actors would trip over each other while dancing. The Vocal Point concert titled From Rent to Now: The last 20 Years of Broadway: is directed by Dr. Sara Baker. This Contemporary Broadway show consists of sixteen characters. It is a spoof on musicals. The opening scene played by Trey Shonkwiler and Konnor Widmann was funny, and catchy. They sang A Musical from Something Rotten! Shonkwiler is a Tenor, while Widmann is a Baritone. Together they made beautiful harmonies, they complimented each other vocally, and as actors very well. The next song Mama Who Bore Me from Spring Awakening was sung by all the women, with a soloist. Kristen Garth has a lovely alto voice, her performance was unconfident, and a bit nervous, she had a few notes that were flat, overall it was nice. There were a few moments where the background singers were too loud, overpowering the soloist. When He Sees Me, from Waitress, sung by Kris Glorsorio was wonderful. She has a beautiful Alto/ Mezzo voice. She connected wholly with her character, I thought the balance of head ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Argumentative Essay On Hook Up Culture There is a lot of faux concern among conservatives about how much more promiscuous millennials are, as opposed to previous generations and how that sexual freedom is hindering overall growth and emotional stability. Indeed, a recent study at James Madison University hooking up or dating: who benefits? conducted by Carolyn Bradshaw and her colleagues, sparked an outcry for how millennials no longer care for dating, and inspired numerous articles about the death of chivalry and romance. These concerns, however, are exaggerated. Sex is sex, and as it turns out, there are more benefits to the no strings attached culture of hookups than critics suggest. Agricultural production entails investment of resources and farmers will have no incentive for making investments in areas where there is little opportunity for marketing their products or if the returns accruing from the sales of agricultural products do not reflect the opportunity cost of investment. As a result, most farmers in areas with few marketing opportunities are engaged primarily in subsistence agriculture, which has constrained improvement in their quality of life [3]. The problem of market access is linked to the inability of farmers to meet market standards, low volumes of produce, wide dispersion of producers, presence of middlemen and perceived low prices in the formal market [1 7]. Therefore, development policies in Ghana have focused on the modernization and commercialization of the agricultural sector in addressing the major agricultural production and marketing challenges.
