Roger Whetmore Case
In early May, 4299, the four defendants and Roger Whetmore entered a limestone cavern. A
landslide occurred while the group was far from the cavern s entrance, trapping the spelunkers
inside. The only known entrance was the one blocked by the landslide. When the group failed to
return home to their families, the Secretary of the Speluncean Society was contacted, and a rescue
team was sent out immediately. The group of spelunkers had only brought very few supplies. New
landslides caused the rescue to be significantly delayed than originally planned. On the twentieth
day it was discovered the group had radios within the cave, and communication was achieved. The
men were eventually rescued thirty two days after the first landslide had occurred. After their
rescue, the defendants were charged with the murder of their fellow spelunker, Roger Whetmore. It
was discovered on the twenty third day the group had killed and devoured their fellow spelunker.
The verdict of the initial trial found the defendants guilty, and the four men were sentenced to be
hung. The jury members requested the sentence be reduced to six months in jail. While the
defendants are guilty of murdering... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The defendants also claim it was again Whetmore s idea to cast lots with a pair of dice he
brought with him on the trip. While the defendants are under oath, there is still doubt in the
validity of their testimonies. When the spelunkers were rescued on the thirty second day of being
in the cave, it was discovered that Whetmore had been murdered and consumed on the twenty
third day. This leaves nine days to come up with a story approved by each group member. The last
contact between the trapped men and the rescue camp had been the group asking for legal advice
about the consequences of eating one of their own. This suggests that the men knew there would be
legal consequences for their

Pros And Cons Of Virtual Teams
Final Research Paper: The Pros and Cons of Virtual Teams
A History in the Making
From its very inception, the Internet was intended to create a means for a secure, reliable
communication network, with the strategy to connect people with data. Information that once
stood evanescent and restrictive by one s personal radius of influence, flourished into an evergreen
and ever spanning wealth of information. Alan Evans, Kendall Martin, and Mary Anne Poatsy, co
authors of Technology in Action (2016) state:
The concept of the Internet was developed in the late 1950s while the United States was in the
midst of the Cold War with the Soviet Union. At that time, the U.S. Department of Defense needed
a computer network that wouldn t be disrupted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Information is now not bound by the physical restrictions of printed texts, nor is access to
information limited to by geographical or temporal boundaries. Cyberspace immeasurably extends
possibilities for storage and transmission of information, and access to information.
Further still, technology has moved beyond a passive, library archive of at your fingertips
information to a collaborative, living structure of content available 24/7. Limited by bandwidth,
network connectivity, hardware capability, and user skillset, businesses today focus on supporting
the infrastructure needs of top talent for connectivity as opposed to shrinking geographical
distances. Don Tapscott and Anthony D. Williams, co authors of Wikinomics: How Mass
Collaboration Changes Everything (2008), pen:
Today the Net is evolving from a network of Web sites that enable firms to present information into
a computing platform in its own right. Elements of a computer and elements of a computer program
can be spread out across the Internet and seamlessly combined as necessary. The Internet is
becoming a giant computer that everyone can program, providing a global infrastructure for
creativity, participation, sharing, and self organization. (p. 37)
Quickly business has moved from point to point modes of communication, sending linear streams
of information back and forth like a ping pong ball, to a centralized storing of data, accessible for a
multiplication of efforts by anyone, anywhere.

Informative Speech About Lips
Specific Purpose: To inform the audience on how to keep their lips hydrated. INTRODUCTION
I. Open with Impact: Who here has had to experience dry lips at one point of time throughout life?
All of you, well that s great.
II. Thesis Statement: Today I will be informing you on ways you can kick those dry, chapped lips
out of your life.
III. Audience Connection: Dry lips most likely will or already have affected each one of you, so
today I will share tips on how to avoid them. IV. Preview: First I will inform you on some of the
different types of ingredients to look for in a lip balm and the benefits they have for your lips,
secondly I will inform you on how to keep your lips moisturized throughout the day, and lastly I
will show you a video that informs you how to make a hydrating lips bomb for you lips.
According to Bruce Bart, 2017, when your lips are exposed to moisture, they absorb water and
plump up when they are dehydrated, they dry out and shrink. And, because they re always
exposed, they re prone to dehydration, particularly during the cold, windy winter months. The
skin on the lips is also unlike skin anywhere else on the body: It s thinner (allowing the blood
vessels to be visible, making the lips look red) and has no oil glands (oil acts as a barrier for
skin, helping to protect it from the elements). The result can be red, rough (and sometimes painful),
chapped lips that couldn t hold lipstick color if you spray painted it on. BODY
I. Main Point: The different types of ingredients to look for in lip moisturizers. A. One great
ingredient to look for in a well hydrated lip balm is cocoa butter. According to a skin expert from
L Oreal, Cocoa butter is a powerful antioxidant. It s rich in phytosterols that heal and repair
wounds as well as polyphenols to zap free radicals and slow down skin ageing. Cocoa butter also
contains vitamins A1, B1, C, D, and E alongside iron and magnesium. It is nourishing and
protects skin, so it works a dream on dry, sore, dehydrated lips. (L Oreal, 2016) B. Another
ingredient to look for when detecting a healthy lip balm is coconut oil, which acts as a protective
shield. Coconut oil has high levels of lauric acid, a saturated fatty acid that protects and deeply

The Influence of Advertising
What is the Influence of Advertising on our children today? The influence of advertising on our
lives, for both our children and us, for many years the influence of advertising has changed. Some
people may remember when the advertisements of toy companies were directed at the adults
instead of the kids, hoping that the adults might buy the products. Today s advertisements have
changed. Advertisements are more pervasive, sophisticated, and are now aimed directly at
getting kids addicted to products at a very young age (Marconi, JM.). This goes to show that
advertisers have realized that it is better to go right for the person who the product is for and not
for the person that will be buying it for someone else. So how has advertising... Show more content

Whether it s the Porsche ad that shows the grade school boy recognizing the car as the King of
cool and success, or the Chevy that wins the NASCAR championship; these brands are sealed
into a child s mind at a young age. The dolls that little girls play with may promote brand name
make up, board games may make use of a specific credit card, and a hot wheels racetrack often
includes a specific brand of car (Hall and Kohrs 2006). All of these promotions are paid for by
manufacturers and serve a very specific purpose. This message often has the effect of making kids
consumers of such products at an increasingly early age and assures that they develop their brand
loyalty earlier.
Is Advertising Really That Influential? There are a number of studies that support the idea that
advertising is particularly effective with children due to the fact they don t have the same critical
thinking/judgment as an adult. The brief from the APA highlights this thought and discusses how
such advertising can lead children to unhealthy food and lifestyle choices (American psychological
association 2009). Advertising has also been shown to greatly influence a child s body image and
sexual development. This young media site covers many of the related issues. Children today often
feel the influence of advertising s subtle messages more strongly that those provided by schools and
even parents. Certainly many

Why The Outcasts Judge People
Difference isn t always a bad thing, it s just unordinary. That s why it s an instinct to
immediately judge people, whether it be good or bad, when they appear different. Good
judgements aren t that easy to achieve, though, so people tend to go in the direction as other
normal people so they don t attract attention.A direct example of this is when Hazel tries to
convince George to take out some balls from his bags. He refuses, only because he is aware that
there is consequences to taking them out. There would be a fine of two thousand dollars. Along
with that, he would also spend two years in jail for every ball taken out. The balls in this example,
represent the thoughts or actions a person wants to do. They re held captive in the bag that... Show

Some might argue that the restrictions the government put on society is great. Uniqueness
should not exist in their Utopia . If everyone is forced to be the same, and that different levels of
capability should not be allowed. Therefore, no one s self esteem would be lowered knowing
that other people have advantages in their physical appearance, their intelligence, physical
ability, etc. No one would be jealous that they don t have what others do, like when George
mentions the ballerinas. He says And their faces were masked, so that no one, seeing a free and
graceful gesture or a pretty face, would feel like something the cat drug in. At the beginning of
the story, it states that everyone has the same intelligence, and later shows that George, who is
above average in intelligence, isn t allowed to use it. It may seem that this would be perfect.
Everyone has the same intelligence, so no one feels bad that they are not as smart as others. It
seems that this society is based on the literal idea that everyone should be equal.. Although it is, it
s not as perfect as other people would assume. Equality doesn t mean that everyone will succeed.
Giving equality to everyone means that everyone would be given the same materials, whether it is
beneficial or not. On the other hand, equity, would be more perfect. Equity is when everyone is
given the required materials based on their needs. It s not equality, and may appear

Home Depot Functional Strategies Essay
Home Depots functional strategies are in many ways similar to Lowes. However essential
differences, while they are not always clear do exist between these competitors.
The human resources strategy of Home Depot is more prevalent than Lowes in my estimation.
Home Depot has an offering to contractors with advanced knowledge. The experience curve for
employees does exist for this industry. It would be imperative for top management to retain talent.
The cost of training a new employee that is not familiar with do it yourself projects could be
expensive. The knowledge that Home Depot employees have is a competitive advantage. Using
this knowledge and fostering it would be a way to distinguish itself for Lowes (Parnell, 2014). I

Evaluating the associations with loyal contractors and Angie s list to promote local rated
contractors. A priority would assess how Home Depot could build synergies with Angie s list where
a contractor would become more than a buyer but a supplier relationship for projects. Keeping the
differentiator and innovation in marketing ideas would be an area of focus to distinguish Home
Depot. My vision for an omnichannel approach is where a grill purchase is similar to the store
but online, and then delivered to one homes home that day. Weeks later the same consumer is in
Home Depot and gets a notification on one s smartphone or device asking to rate the grill
previously purchased. In addition, letting the consumer know that a cover and accessories for
the grill previously purchased were on isle 3 and offered at a 20% discount for those items for
taking the survey at checkout (Morrison, 2015). Lowes marketing strategy appeals to a wider
audience that Home Depot. Marketing to segmentations would be an area for improvement for
Home Depot offering more appealing differentiators for gender, income, and ages. Currently,
Lowes does a better job of marketing to a broad variety of consumers (Goodfellow,

Copyright Law Extension Act And The Copyright Term...
BRIEF AMICUS CURIAE OF ELDRED V. ASHCROFT IN SUPPORT OF PETITIONER
QUESTION PRESENTED
Does the Copyright Term Extension Act, which extends the term of a copyright to 70 years after
the creator s death, violate the limited Times prescription of the Copyright Clause and the free
speech guarantee of the First Amendment?
IDENTITY AND INTEREST OF AMICUS CURIAE We respectfully submit this brief amicus
curiae in support of the petitioners, Eldred et al. The petitioners owned the copyrights of works
now in the public domain. They challenged the 1998 Copyright Term Extension Act (CTEA) on the
grounds that the act allows copyrights to exist in perpetuity and restricts free speech, so the act
violates the Copyright Clause and the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. Justice
Ginsburg denied Eldred s challenges, finding that the terms established by the CTEA are limited
terms and that the act accommodates for petitioner s First Amendment concerns. We submit this
amicus curiae in dissent of the court opinion that upheld the CTEA.
SUMMARY OF ARGUMENT The Copyright Term Extension Actof 1998 established that
copyright terms now expire 70 years after the creator s death, which is a 20 year extension from
the previous copyright law in 1976 that established term expiration 50 years after the creator s
death. The Act applies equally to future works and works with existing copyrights. The court in
Eldred v. Ashcroft upheld the CTEA as a rational exercise of congressional authority in that the
copyright extension creates a significant benefit: encouraging copyright authors to produce more
creative works. However, the extension has little influence on the motivation of authors to create
and it constructs roadblocks in the creation process. Overall, the expected outcome of the 20 year
copyright term extension is a reduction in the number of works being created and copyrighted in
the future due to the increased costs of production. Without works entering the public domain, the
copyright owner monopolizes their work, creating social costs associated with a monopoly market
failure. The CTEA should be struck down as it is inconsistent with the ultimate goal of copyright
law, which is to promote the

Comparison Of The Italian Opera, Oratorio, And Cantata
Comparison of the Italian Opera, Oratorio, and Cantata Music during the Baroque period was
diverse and composers began to rebel against the styles that were popular during the Renaissance. In
the Baroque era music was driven by the text and the emotions behind it. Vocal and sacred music
developed greatly during the Baroque period. During the mid 17th century the Italian phenomenon
operadominated most of the theatres in Europe. Sacred music was deeply influenced by the opera,
contributing to the development of the oratorio and cantatagenre. The opera, oratorio, and cantata
contain musical similarities; among all three genres they feature recitative, soloist orchestras, and
duet arias. The Italian opera was a form of dramatic entertainment,... Show more content on

Oratorios were performed in prayer halls, which was a sacred setting similar to the cantata.
Oratorios were recitative and contained de capo arias and chorus, like the Italian opera. It was

operas and was quick to take on operas for sacred subjects, such as the lives of saints. However,
the church also condemned operas for its power to seduce and dazzle, banning the performance of

which was one of the best known oratorios. Another important composer of this genre was Giacomo

Search For Truth In Letter To The Hebrews, By Socrates
Presocratic philosophers in their search for the truth caught glimpses of Divinity and the truth of
eternal life. This search culminated in Socrates, who through his lifelong search for truth gained
an image of the soul and eternal life similar to the catholic belief of eternal life. In the Phaedrus,
Socrates says that all divine souls go to feast at the banquet (Phaedrus 247b), they climb up and
view a place beyond heavenwhere there is a supreme divine being. What is in this place is without
color and without shape and without solidity, a being that really is what it is, the subject of all true
knowledge, visible only to intelligence (Phaedrus 247c). In his letter to the Hebrews, St. Paul
speaks about things on earth being shadows of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Likewise, God in his creation left shadows of the Beatific Vision which point to truth in Natural
revelation. By searching for this truth, Socrates caught glimpses of those shadows. Even the truth
which he did reach, it was imperfect. Socrates speaks about a heavenly banquet where the
immortal souls go to feast. When they do that, they travel up, to the rim of heaven. Socrates saw
a shadow of truth beyond the pagan concept of heaven. He could discern a place where the gods
went to feast. It seems interesting that the souls went to feast in a place beyond heaven, but not to
feast on food but to feast on pure knowledge. In this banquet, the god s minds are nourished by
intelligence and pure knowledge, as is the mind of any soul. (Phaedrus 247c). Further, the souls are
nourished not by knowledge abstractly, but by a being that really is what it is (Phaedrus 247d),
an embodiement of truth and knowledge. This being beyond description is similar to Gods own
divine revelation of himself as i am. summarizing, the god s souls travel to a place beyond their
heaven and feast on the pure knowlegde of a supreme divine being; Socrates seems to grasp at a

Sales of Illegal Goods on the Internet Essay example
Sales of Illegal Goods on the Internet
With the increase of on line crimes and fraud, stricter laws must be placed on the sale of such
problematic items as guns, prescription drugs, and human blood and organs over the Internet. The
selling of these and other items has created many problems in recent months. Most of these items
are auctioned online through popular sites such as e bay. This is a somewhat complicated issue
due to the fact that they are many conflicting opinions. In addition, the laws for and against the
marketing of these products online are very uncertain. There are many activists and liberals in

Selling guns online only simplifies this. It will be interesting to see what comes of this as stricter
laws are placed on guns.
Selling prescription drugs online has also become extremely popular within a short period of time.
It is so popular in fact; the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy has just set up a new board
that certifies online pharmacies and calls them Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites. To
date, there are only four such sites. They are: CVS.com, Drugstore.com, MerckMedco.com, and
PlanetRx.com. This is not to say that no other websites are safe, just that the Food and Drug
Administration does not accept them. People are advised to buy only from the four acceptable
websites. One problem with online pharmacies is that there are only four approved ones. Any
others may be potentially dangerous. These other websites, though they may be completely
legal, and they may be only selling prescription drugs, might not be safe. They don t carry your
medical information only your physician does. Most prescription drugs have precautions and
drug interactions making them unsafe for some people. A simple trip to the doctor s office may
take the risk out of these websites. This view is easily argued by people with little time on their
hands to go to the pharmacist or the doctor s office. They allow people to just fill out a simple
form online to order all their prescriptions. For the time being, making the short trip to your

Explain Why There Is A Renewable Energy Source Compared To...
Solar Energy/Power
1.Describe solar power. Explain in detail how the energy source is used to generate electricity
Solar energy is a type of energy that is used in many households all around the world it is a
renewable resource meaning once you use it you can replace it. It is a great energy source that is
going to rule over coal and oil when we run out of fossil fuels. Electricity received from the panels
is light energy that has been converted.
The steps of how solar panels work are explained below:
1.The photons from the sun is absorbed by the solar panel
2.The silicon and conductors in the solar panel converts the light energy into a current of electricity
called Direct Current, which flows through to your inverter
3.The Inverter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

2. What is a renewable energy source compared to a non renewable energy source?
A renewable energy source is a source of energy that can be renewed or replaced like solar or
wind energy, these are examples of renewable energy sources because they can be replaced.
Solar energy, the sun will never run out (until billions of years later) and wind energy is
renewable because we can t run out of wind. Now, non renewable energy. Coal, oil, gas these are
all examples of non renewable energy sources. They are non renewable energy sources because
once you use it, you cannot replace it. So renewable energy is energy that can be replaced and non
renewable energy is energy that cannot be replaced.
Is solar power a renewable or non renewable resource? Explain
Solar power is a renewable energy source because humans are not using any of the earth s
resources and because the sun will never run out or be extinguished. Each day you will generate
electricity from the sun
3. Advantages of Solar Power
Solar energy does not cause pollution, whereas oil, coal etc. does cause

Realism versus Pop Art
In this life, there are many forms of art or art movements to speak of. How we interpret art is a
very subjective thing. What a person sees and feels when looking at art greatly depends on their
upbringing, their values, and even their mood at the time of viewing. Could something dark and
lacking color be art? What about a comic strip in the newspaper or the billboard down the street?
Again, interpretation and taste in art is individual. I elected to explore into the two art movements I
like the least to potentially better understand them, and to potentially link them together.
Realism was painted to depict real life situations. It was developed by artists to create an illustration
of common people and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Realism evoked feeling in its everyday life portrayal. Pop Art is unemotional.
Although Pop art was originally stated to come from the revolt to Abstract Expressionism, and a
jump off of Dadaism, my thoughts are that the similarities between Pop Art and Realism as
extensive. They are related in the fact that they both are based on everyday life scenes. While
Realism delved into everyday society, Pop Art did the same with the everyday mass media market.
Realism was a jump from Romanticism a fight of the unnatural belief that everything must be
romanticized. Pop art was a jump from Abstract Expressionism a fight of the unnatural belief that
everything should spark emotional thought. Pop artists in Germany are referred to as Capitalist
Realism artists and, in France, the Pop Art movement is called Nouveau Realisme, directly
translated as New Realism.

Essay on Cultural and Financial Management
This paper will scrutinizes the actual impact of culture on financial management. Before I proceed
to what I believe to be not only a factually inept argument of cultural influence on economics but
also a grossly delusional and rather prejudiced view as well, I must first set some sort of context to
what I am alluding to. The assignment stipulates for me to, address if the framework of financial
management can apply to any country or culture. The simple and short answer to this is no ,
financial management is different depending on the country and or culture. For example Germans

Opponents of Marx say that he inverted the correlation of culture and economic relations (Guiso,
Sapienza Zingales 2006 p.5). In other words these opponents of Marx think that culture dictates the

to nature vs. nurture and origins of which came first the chicken or the egg, corresponding into
nothing more than, probably some level of both or worse an irrelevant loop, there is nevertheless an
important fundamental difference to the exact correlation of culture and the economy. Thus, I
proclaim that Marx is not only factually correct, (economy supersedes culture) but morally as well.
Marx is factually correct because I can use his hypothesis to logically dispute all claims that culture
supersedes the economy. The first prominent opponent of Marx s theory in favour of culture was
Max Weber who stipulated that the Protestant Reformation taught that the pursuit of wealth should
be regarded not merely as an advantage, but as a duty (Guiso, Sapienza Zingales 2006 p.6). This
meant that the Protestants reinforced with a new cultural imperative went on to become financially
stronger. If Marx was still alive he would have scoffed at such an exaggerated claim, stating that if it
was not for the invention of the printing press, which caused the Catholic Church to lose its
monopoly on scripture, then such a reformation would never have happened. Also the changing

The Ethics Of Adopting Electronic Documentation For...

health information systems (i.e. EMAR or EHR), it is called electronic documentation (eDoc.).
According to Abiri (2014), eDoc help with mitigating medical errors and improving patient safety

Modern Clothing Garments Is The Classic Hoodie
One of the most popular clothing garments is the classic hoodie. This sweater that has a hood also

However, one downfall to this beneficial hoodie drawstring occurs while washing it. Many
individuals who own hoodies have experienced the drawstring being pulled half way out in the
washer due to the rotation and motion while being washed. Attempting to re thread a hoodie

Another flaw is that the string needs to be taken fully out of the hoodie. This makes the process
longer than it should. The next DIY solution uses a straw to re thread the drawstring in a hoodie.
In order to use this method, the string needs to be fully removed. Thorin Klosowski explains the
steps to use this method. After fully removing the string from the hoodie, place it within the straw
and staple it in place. Now take the straw, which has more flexibility than a coat hanger wire, and
weave it back through the drawstring path. Once again this method has flaws. Even though straws
are common household products, not every house has these on hand. Plus, if one is trying to fix
their garment, why would they put a staple through it in order to re thread the drawstring? The
third DIY solution uses a safety pin and is explained on Lifehacker by Patrick Allan. Once again
with the drawstring fully removed, attach the safety pin to the string by poking the pin through the
material. Now that the pin is attached, use this pin as a guide to feeding the string back through the
material little by little. This method requires a lot of time and patience and the string has to be
fully removed. With the variety of DIY solutions and the widespread pain of the drawstring coming
out, few people have developed other solutions. One solution, that already is patented approved,
requires the entire drawstring to be removed. According to the United States Patent

is whether this is situation in which a new duty of care should be recognized. At the second
stage of the Anns test, the question still remains whether there are residual policy consideration
outside the relationship of the parties that may negative the imposition of a duty of care. It is
useful to expressly ask, before imposing a new duty of care, whether despite foreseeability and
proximity of relationship, there are other policy reasons why the duty should not be imposed. This
part of test only arises in cases where the duty of care asserted does not fall within a recognized
category. The trial judge concluded that the pleadings disclosed a cause of action in negligence and
that the plaintiffs should be permitted to bring a class action . The Anns test is test for determining
the existence of a duty of care in the tort of negligence. The importance of the Anns lies in its
recognition that policy consideration play an important role in determining proximity in new

Value Of Respect Research Paper
I believe that respect is the most important value to have in a happy life. Now respect has many
different aspects to it; probably more than any one person can think of. So, I don t claim to
cover them all. Of the ones I could think are four big ones: authority, the environment, and each
other s diversities. Yes, you can count (no matter how bad at math you may claim to be), that
was only three. The fourth is the most important, but I m going to keep it a secret until you learn
what I mean about the other three; just keep it in the back of your mind until then. Let s start
with the first you probably faced in life, authority. From the second you are born, being passed
around from family member to family member, to the first teacher you had, and then to your
current boss, you may have realized you aren t always the one in control. Well, that s okay.
Without their wisdom or experience you wouldn t be where you are today in life. Now I m not
saying you have to love or understand the seemingly evil Mrs. Ooze you had in 2nd grade, with
her biweekly spelling tests (no bonus point words) and aroma of old lady (not the grandma type, the

S.T.U. and P.I.D. are probably not even in love anymore. In the most common interpretation, our
planet is being hurt by our actions and there are little ways to keep it healthier, such as riding a
bike a mile instead of driving to you the park or waiting until you are at a trashcan to throw that

this earth is a gift and we should treat it as such. Now, my third point, respect other s

Converse College Essay
Converse College is a private college that realized that high tuitions were creating serious problems
for current and potential students to enroll in private colleges. Therefore, Converse was given the
task of motivating middle class students to have the experience of studying in private schools.
CHOICE 1: Reset tuition to a significantly lower price for traditional undergraduate students.
PROS:
Being pioneers in this new business model is an attractive opportunity to stand out from the crowd
as the steady increase in the tuitions in higher educations is a national concern. Therefore, more
students and prospects may be interested in Converse College.
Based on the forecast of increase in tuition fees that Converse College has established, students
could be able to save a considerable amount after a few years. Therefore students would ... Show

PROS:
Certainly, when frizzing student s tuition, they and their families would be sure that their tuition
would not face annual increases.
In addition, this proposal would be attractive to students and cause increased enrollment of middle
class students.
CONS:
A disadvantage is that this proposal is a short term solution to a long term problem. Since the
school has increases in operating costs every year. Therefore, the college has to generate additional
profits to offset these costs.
In addition, future generations would suffer from even higher fees because operating costs would
still require payment. Therefore the cycle of annual tuition increases would start again but now in a
more accelerated manner.
CHOICE 3: Provide students with Loan Repayment Program (LRP), which guarantees that any
student without employment after college would have her loans covered by an insurance policy.
PROS:
This program would alleviate the financial burden for graduate students who have difficulty finding
work and paying their

Reflective Essay On Professionalism
Professionalism can be defined as the conduct, aims, or qualities that characterize or mark a
profession or a professional person. (Merriam webster) My interpretation of this definition is that
professionalism is a standard that we must hold ourselves accountable to in order to provide the
best service. How do we get from a basic understandingof this definition, to practicing and applying
professionalism? Major attributes that lead to professionalism can include accountability,
communication and reflective practice. Reflective practice in the healthcare system is when
practitioners engage in a continuous cycle of self observation and self evaluation in order to
understand their own actions and the reactions they prompt in themselves (becoming a better
university teacher...). In the day to day life, everyone performs a type of reflection whether it is by
unconscious thought or by habit. When it is unintentional it is hard to learn and grow from the
knowledgethat can potentially be gained. Therefore we need to find a way to effectively
incorporate reflective practice into our daily lives, especially as radiation therapystudents.
There is a simple three step framework for practical, structured reflection by Dr. Natius Oelofsen
that really stood out to me. Reflective practice should not be complicated or time consuming or
else it will not be done efficiently or effectively. We need reflective practice to become habit during
our school years in order for it to be

Reflection On Being A Dietitian
My journey to become a registered dietitian has been longer and maybe more complex than the
average college students. As a first generation college student I was faced with many challenges
that to this day have shaped me in a unique way as a dietitian. During this year of my internship, I
want to be able to reflect on my own growth, strengths and weaknesses and be open to feedback to
improve as a dietitian.
Strengths
As a future dietitian, I can see in myself that I am passionate to work with he Hispanic community,
utilizing my Spanish speaking skills and working with low socioeconomic populations. Growing up
as low socioeconomic Hispanic community, I feel that I can relate to my community more than the
average health professional. I love working with children and getting to know them and their
family. As a health professional that will be working with trying to change dietary lifestyles, I think
that having that cultural competency with this particular community will always be useful. My
Spanish skills can help me gain the confidence of some of my patients or clients and find better
ways to assess their needs.
Another one of my current strengths would be that I am very detail oriented and specially in a
clinical setting, can be quite useful. Being able to pay attention to minor details can be the best way
to assess a patient and find the best method of working with them.
Furthermore, as an undergraduate student, I made sure to explore various areas of nutrition

an uncontrolled growth of cells in the squamous cell, this is mostly composed of the epidermis.
This type of cancer can become deadly if it s not treated on time. And over 1 million people are
diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in the U.S per year. Squamous cell carcinoma looks

Limitations Of Regulation Of Private Insurance Systems
Limitations to Regulation Advocates of private insurance systems argue that flaws in the
system can be remedied with regulation of the market or through government subsides to help
the poor afford the insurance (NEED SOURCE). Even with the attempt at regulation of the
private finance system in the US (the ACA and existing Medicaid program), patients still have
limited coverage and accessibility (White, 2013; Garfield and Damico, 2015; Smith and
Medalia; 2015). Regulation through expanding Medicaid has fallen short due to state autonomy
upheld by the Supreme Court ruling; as of September 2015, 20 states refused to adopt the ACA
expansion of their Medicaid programs (Garfield and Damico, 2015). Since ACA envisioned that
the expansion of Medicaid would cover an increasing number of families and childless adults at
a certain percentage of the poverty line, it does not provide financial assistance to people below
poverty for other coverage options (ibid.). The result is a coverage gap where many adults do
not qualify for Medicaid but are below the lower limit for marketplace premium tax credits (ibid.).
Currently, it is estimated that more than 3 million adults fall into this gap indicating that patching
a system of inequity and limited access still results a larger in problems for lower income people
to gain access to healthcare (ibid.). Though the ACA is still the early stages, it appears that even a
radical change in private healthcare financing in the US is not enough to

Tariffs In American History
Tariffs in United States history have played important roles in trade policy, political debates and
the nation s economic history. A tariff is a tax on an imported good. Each unit of a good that is
imported into a country the tariff would increase. Tariffs had enormous affect on the Untied States,
main function or purpose of the tariffwas to pay the federal budget. At one time tariffs were main
source of revenue until Federal income tax began in 1913. Originally this tariff was to help pay for
improvements, such as roads, canals, and lighthouses. Tariffs affected southern states negatively;
because the southern states weren t as dependent on manufacturing as the northern states causing
the south to not depend on tax from European imports.

Lyme Disease In The 1970 s
Lyme disease was discovered in the 1970 s, as any other disease was, by a large number of cases,

many cases that the doctor marked it as an unknown disease. It wasn t until later in the 1980 s that
there were more widespread cases throughout the north east. Lyme diseaseis becoming a serious

The Catcher in the Rye Relative to the 1950 s
The Catcher in the Rye can be strongly considered as one of the greatest novels of all time and
Holden Caufield distinguishes himself as one of the greatest and most diverse characters. His
moral system and his sense of justice force him to detect horrifying flaws in the society in which he
lives.
However, this is not his principle difficulty. His principle difficulty is not that he is a rebel, or a
coward, nor that he hates society, it is that he has had many experiences and he remembers
everything. Salinger indicates this through Holden s confusion of time throughout the novel.
Experiences at Whooten, Pency, and Elkton Hills combine and no levels of time separate them. This

Holden exhibits the madness described before at often times throughout the book and in the end it
ends up sending him to a sanitarium. He knows he has become mad and he even tells himself this
many times in the book; but he never really believes it. One time in the book when he displays this
madness is,
Wadsworth 4.
But I m crazy I swear to God I am. About halfway to the bathroom, I started pretending I had a

Now I was on the way to the bathroom to get a good shot of bourbon. I pictured myself with my

to my guts, blood leaking all over the place. As soon as old Maurice opened the doors he d start

disturbing actions Holden takes in this novel. Holden becomes obsessed with death and dying,
and several times in the book he wishes he was dead. Again, Holden can t stay away from the
subject of the death of family members and the decay of the corpse. Even when he later goes to the

History and Impact of Activision
Many people underestimate the impact of videogames. Especially at this day in age, video games
are everywhere. About 80% of American households have some form of video gamedevices,
Computer, or Console, or even an iPhone. Video games bring many people together as a
community, and many other helpful reasons. Personally, I am a big gamer myself. I have
thousands of hours at least in video game playing and more still coming in. Many companies have
been able to make billions of net just selling video games, that s how big the gaming community is.
The biggest game vendor in the world is Activision, making 18.9 billion net worth of money. With
Activision also buying Blizzard, which the founder is in the top 5 richest people in the gaming

one of the first gaming vendors, from surviving the great downfall of

To understand the success of Activision and how it changed the world, we have to go to the
beginning of Activision, the VERY beginning. This is when Atari, the biggest video game

Analyzing Database Management Systems ( Dbms ) Come Into Play
Analyzing Database Management Systems Data. It is all around every person on this earth
whether they realize it or not. Throughout each and everyone s life they collect data and have
their data collected by others. Height, weight, shopping habits, health history are all examples of
data that is tracked. The question is what is done with this data? People, companies, even the
government analyze the data they collect and analyze it with hope of discovering new
information. How they do this is particularly interesting and opens the door for a larger
discussion. In the world of computer science large groups of data that are collected are referred to
as databases. When there is a multitude of these databases, a way to manage all of this information
is needed. That is where database management systems (DBMS) come into play. A database
management systemis a collection of programs that enables users to create and maintain a database.
The DBMS is a general purpose software system that facilitates the processes of defining,
constructing, manipulating, and sharing databases among various users and applications [1].
Analyzing these database managements systems could potentially have huge benefits since
companies could determine when and where to sell products, track certain trends, and possibly
predict future outcomes. Two popular ways to analyze these large amounts of data are OLAP,
online analytical processing tools and/or data mining. According to Oracle, one of the

Michael Wayne s The Dark Knight
Over the years, Batman s character had become a household name when discussing anti heroes
from the DC universe. Although not every comic book fan would consider him an anti hero,
people would still associate anger and broodiness when referring to the character of Bruce Wayne
due to his apparent dark nature. Frank Miller s the Dark Knight Returns had changed things; not
just did it focus on Batmans broody nature, but it had also expanded on the internal battles that had
been the cause of the darkness and the reason for Batman s questionable methods. Miller managed
to bring needed humanity to Batman that had been missing in earlier ages. The qualities that made
the Dark Knight more in touch with his humanity were; having his origin story trauma affect him
until adulthood, experiencing internal psychological conflict, and possessing moral flaws.
Throughout book one of the comic, there were several panels in which Bruce Wayne s trauma
was mentioned. It seemed that Bruce s childhood trauma of seeing his parents killed had
followed him into his adulthood. On pages 22, the reader was clearly able to understand Bruce s
internal battle as he attempted to convince himself that [ the Mark of Zorro] is just a movie. That
s all it is. No harm in watching it, (Miller, 22). On both page 22 and 23, Miller was able to present

Principles And Elements Of The Four-Armed Ganesha
The Four Armed Ganesha, an Indian terra cotta relief plaque, created during the Gupta period
between the 4th and 7th century A.D, depicts the potbellied, four armed deity Ganesha, the
remover of obstacles in Hindu mythology. The 49.1 x 67.9 x 20.6 cm representational relief
plaque, conceived during India s classical age of sculpture, was discovered in the state of Uttar
Pradesh, located in the northern part of India. This magnificent piece is a representational form
of artwork. The sculpture s subject, a pan Hindu god, emerged as a deity somewhere as early as
1st 2nd century AD but had definitely come into prominence by the Gupta period. The deity is
considered to be a patron of science and art and is by far one of the most prominent Gods in the
Hindu doctrine. The sculpture is currently owned by the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas
after being acquired from Colnaghi Oriental, London in 1981. In this paper, I intend to interpret the
formal principles and elements of Four Armed Ganeshaand confabulate my experience of
perceiving this artwork.
The relief sculpture, a phenomenal archetype of ceramic art, produced purely through the usage
of a human s most basic machinery, fingers and thumbs, and through the most elemental material
wet earth, has a porous, coarse and rugged texture. Although the artwork does have a degree of
heaviness to it, terra cotta and clay do not have a high density as a result of the material s
porousness. The artwork is in a moderate hue of orange with a slight blend of tan, a pale tone of
the color brown, a color typical to artifacts and relics made of clay and earthen materials. The
sculpture is an example of a high relief, which is found throughout Hindu artworks, although not as
frequently as mid reliefs/ mezzo rilievo. The use of single material throughout the artwork and the
singular color adds unity to the artwork. Although the artwork is not symmetrical it seems that the
artwork would have looked solid, settled and balanced if it had not endured damage over time. The
majorly similar halves with 2 devas/devis hovering, one at the bottom and one at the top, along with
the giant deity right in the middle, seemed to have imparted balance to the artwork.

were arrested for the much publicized scandal of the Watergate burglary. US Representative Barbara
Jordan made history on July 28, 1974, with her address on the Articles of Impeachment against then
President Richard Nixon and other members of the Nixon house. Jordan explores evidence against
the Nixon administration and violations made against the US Constitution by President Richard
Nixon, his operatives, and other government officials. She touches briefly of gender and racial
equality to convey her connection to the US Constitution, appeals to logic and reason by stating
facts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1956, she graduated from Texas Southern University, then went on to excel in her studies and
graduated from Boston University Law School. No other woman had been elected since 1883, til
Jordan became the first African American woman elected in the year 1966 to the Texas State
Senate. Jordan s upbringing plays a significant role in her use of civil religious rhetoric expression
in her political speeches. Her highly publicized Articles of Impeachment address to the Judicial
Committee is proof of one of her persuasive arguments.
Jordan, dressed in a pink blouse, pearl earrings, and spectacles, begins to address the members of
the Judicial Committee. She starts her speech by thanking the Chairman for the opportunity of
sharing the burden of the impeachment proceedings. She states he is a strong man for handling the
responsibility laid out in front of him. She goes on by describing her feelings towards the meaning
We, the people.
Earlier today, we heard the beginning of the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States: We,
the people. It s a very eloquent beginning. But when that document was completed on the
seventeenth of September in 1787, I was not included in that We, the people. I felt somehow for
many years that George Washington and Alexander Hamilton just left me out by mistake. But
through the process of amendment, interpretation, and court decision, I have finally been included
in We, the

William Shakespeare s The Winter s Tale
Shakespeare s The Winter s Tale can be viewed as a tragicomedy that draws upon elements of As
You Like It and Othello. Similar themes of trust, love, treachery, infidelity and tyranny are found
throughout all three plays. While The Winter s Tale and As You Like It share similar happy
endings, Othello shares more concepts with The Winter s Tale, but ends with a much more tragic
ending. Both Leontes and Othellohave severe trust issues and accuse their wives of having affairs.
In these plays, both kings end up being incorrect and therefore produce really dramatic story lines.
In Othello, Iagoplants the seed of jealousy in Othello s mind, as opposed to in The Winter s Tale,
in which Leontes s own paranoia feeds this idea in his mind to the point where he orders his
wife and baby to be sent away. As You Like It is a play which encompasses themes of love and
issues of brotherhood and violation of primogeniture. The conflicts raised at the beginning of the
play are resolved at the end of the play just like in The Winter s Tale. Act V of The Winter s Tale
draws elements from the other plays when the truth is finally revealed about the innocent wives and
when there is a happy ending in the plays other than Othello. The main difference between these
two plays, is that Othello ends with tragedyand multiple deaths, and The Winter s Tale ends with
family unity and happiness. The Winter s Tale is labeled as a tragic comedy because the first three
acts of the play feel much like a

The Literary Works Of The First Century Romans
Understanding ancient civilizations is always a hard process. The only resources that are readily
available, are the texts written by people of the times. But which helps better the understanding of
the society and political structures: historical or literary works? The first century Romans are a
great example of this. The literary works of the first century Romans, help further the knowledge
about the ancient civilization. While the historical works do show a lot of the facts from the era,
the literary works possess more information about the people s lives in that time. The political
aspects of the Romans were very advanced. The government system they had set up, was better than
any of the other civilizations of the time. (Virgil, Aeneid) Under the rule of Augustus, the Romans
were at some of the strongest times of the empire s existence. The empire in this time conquered
most of the known world. They were not a force to be taken lightly. Virgil connected the political
aspects of his time to the Greek gods quite often. He would reference the Roman empireas being
strong and mighty much like the gods. (Virgil, Aeneid) He also described the empire as always in a
state of tranquility, order, and emotional stability. (Virgil, Aeneid) Augustus was also highly
regarded to during his reign. One historical fact from the Aeneid that Virgil mentions, would be the
hatred between Carthageand Rome. This was truly a big struggle during the ancient Roman times.
The way that Virgil

Case Study Of Marie Crabb
I have the utmost appreciation for Marie Crabb and her sincere hard work, skills and fantastic
service. I highly recommend Marie and Exquisite Properties to anyone looking for an efficient and
down to earth realtor!
I d previously had such poor service and expectations of realtors that I came into this purchase
with a skeptical attitude. I d sold my home near Austin to relocate in San Antonio and had not
gotten any replies off websites or phone calls that didn t feel greedy and uncaring if at all, until
Marie.
I received a very quick personable response from her as soon as I contacted her and started
looking for a home in San Antonio. She helped so much and sensed exactly what I wanted and
needed the 1st time we met and talked. She scheduled

Caso Alpes Essay
Show more content on

Sin embargo, serГa necesario no sГіlo una mayor capacidad de producciГіn, sino tambiГ©n
actualizar las normas sanitarias, que debГan ser cumplidas si querГan mantener sus ventas, debido
ВїExisten
nuevos productos farmacГ©uticos. Cuando adquiriГі

  • 2. Roger Whetmore Case In early May, 4299, the four defendants and Roger Whetmore entered a limestone cavern. A landslide occurred while the group was far from the cavern s entrance, trapping the spelunkers inside. The only known entrance was the one blocked by the landslide. When the group failed to return home to their families, the Secretary of the Speluncean Society was contacted, and a rescue team was sent out immediately. The group of spelunkers had only brought very few supplies. New landslides caused the rescue to be significantly delayed than originally planned. On the twentieth day it was discovered the group had radios within the cave, and communication was achieved. The men were eventually rescued thirty two days after the first landslide had occurred. After their rescue, the defendants were charged with the murder of their fellow spelunker, Roger Whetmore. It was discovered on the twenty third day the group had killed and devoured their fellow spelunker. The verdict of the initial trial found the defendants guilty, and the four men were sentenced to be hung. The jury members requested the sentence be reduced to six months in jail. Open with Impact: Who here has had to experience dry lips at one point of time throughout life? All of you, well that s great. II. Thesis Statement: Today I will be informing you on ways you can kick those dry, chapped lips out of your life. III. Audience Connection: Dry lips most likely will or already have affected each one of you, so today I will share tips on how to avoid them. IV. Preview: First I will inform you on some of the different types of ingredients to look for in a lip balm and the benefits they have for your lips, secondly I will inform you on how to keep your lips moisturized throughout the day, and lastly I will show you a video that informs you how to make a hydrating lips bomb for you lips. According to Bruce Bart, 2017, when your lips are exposed to moisture, they absorb water and plump up when they are dehydrated, they dry out and shrink. And, because they re always exposed, they re prone to dehydration, particularly during the cold, windy winter months. The skin on the lips is also unlike skin anywhere else on the body: It s thinner (allowing the blood vessels to be visible, making the lips look red) and has no oil glands (oil acts as a barrier for skin, helping to protect it from the elements). The result can be red, rough (and sometimes painful), chapped lips that couldn t hold lipstick color if you spray painted it on. BODY I. Main Point: The different types of ingredients to look for in lip moisturizers. A. One great ingredient to look for in a well hydrated lip balm is cocoa butter. According to a skin expert from L Oreal, Cocoa butter is a powerful antioxidant. It s rich in phytosterols that heal and repair wounds as well as polyphenols to zap free radicals and slow down skin ageing. Cocoa butter also contains vitamins A1, B1, C, D, and E alongside iron and magnesium. It is nourishing and protects skin, so it works a dream on dry, sore, dehydrated lips. (L Oreal, 2016) B. Another ingredient to look for when detecting a healthy lip balm is coconut oil, which acts as a protective shield. • 5. The Influence of Advertising What is the Influence of Advertising on our children today? The influence of advertising on our lives, for both our children and us, for many years the influence of advertising has changed. Some people may remember when the advertisements of toy companies were directed at the adults instead of the kids, hoping that the adults might buy the products. Today s advertisements have changed. Advertisements are more pervasive, sophisticated, and are now aimed directly at getting kids addicted to products at a very young age (Marconi, JM.). This goes to show that advertisers have realized that it is better to go right for the person who the product is for and not for the person that will be buying it for someone else. So how has advertising... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The dolls that little girls play with may promote brand name make up, board games may make use of a specific credit card, and a hot wheels racetrack often includes a specific brand of car (Hall and Kohrs 2006). All of these promotions are paid for by manufacturers and serve a very specific purpose. This message often has the effect of making kids consumers of such products at an increasingly early age and assures that they develop their brand loyalty earlier. Is Advertising Really That Influential? There are a number of studies that support the idea that advertising is particularly effective with children due to the fact they don t have the same critical thinking/judgment as an adult. The brief from the APA highlights this thought and discusses how such advertising can lead children to unhealthy food and lifestyle choices (American psychological association 2009). Advertising has also been shown to greatly influence a child s body image and sexual development. This young media site covers many of the related issues. That s why it s an instinct to immediately judge people, whether it be good or bad, when they appear different. ASHCROFT IN SUPPORT OF PETITIONER QUESTION PRESENTED Does the Copyright Term Extension Act, which extends the term of a copyright to 70 years after the creator s death, violate the limited Times prescription of the Copyright Clause and the free speech guarantee of the First Amendment? IDENTITY AND INTEREST OF AMICUS CURIAE We respectfully submit this brief amicus curiae in support of the petitioners, Eldred et al. The petitioners owned the copyrights of works now in the public domain. They challenged the 1998 Copyright Term Extension Act (CTEA) on the grounds that the act allows copyrights to exist in perpetuity and restricts free speech, so the act violates the Copyright Clause and the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. Justice Ginsburg denied Eldred s challenges, finding that the terms established by the CTEA are limited terms and that the act accommodates for petitioner s First Amendment concerns. We submit this amicus curiae in dissent of the court opinion that upheld the CTEA. SUMMARY OF ARGUMENT The Copyright Term Extension Actof 1998 established that copyright terms now expire 70 years after the creator s death, which is a 20 year extension from the previous copyright law in 1976 that established term expiration 50 years after the creator s death. The Act applies equally to future works and works with existing copyrights. The court in Eldred v. Ashcroft upheld the CTEA as a rational exercise of congressional authority in that the copyright extension creates a significant benefit: encouraging copyright authors to produce more creative works. However, the extension has little influence on the motivation of authors to create and it constructs roadblocks in the creation process. Overall, the expected outcome of the 20 year copyright term extension is a reduction in the number of works being created and copyrighted in the future due to the increased costs of production. Without works entering the public domain, the copyright owner monopolizes their work, creating social costs associated with a monopoly market failure. The CTEA should be struck down as it is inconsistent with the ultimate goal of copyright law, which is to promote the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 25. Reflective Essay On Professionalism Professionalism can be defined as the conduct, aims, or qualities that characterize or mark a profession or a professional person. (Merriam webster) My interpretation of this definition is that professionalism is a standard that we must hold ourselves accountable to in order to provide the best service. How do we get from a basic understandingof this definition, to practicing and applying professionalism? Major attributes that lead to professionalism can include accountability, communication and reflective practice. Reflective practice in the healthcare system is when practitioners engage in a continuous cycle of self observation and self evaluation in order to understand their own actions and the reactions they prompt in themselves (becoming a better university teacher...). In the day to day life, everyone performs a type of reflection whether it is by unconscious thought or by habit. When it is unintentional it is hard to learn and grow from the knowledgethat can potentially be gained. Therefore we need to find a way to effectively incorporate reflective practice into our daily lives, especially as radiation therapystudents. There is a simple three step framework for practical, structured reflection by Dr. Natius Oelofsen that really stood out to me. Limitations Of Regulation Of Private Insurance Systems Limitations to Regulation Advocates of private insurance systems argue that flaws in the system can be remedied with regulation of the market or through government subsides to help the poor afford the insurance (NEED SOURCE). Even with the attempt at regulation of the private finance system in the US (the ACA and existing Medicaid program), patients still have limited coverage and accessibility (White, 2013; Garfield and Damico, 2015; Smith and Medalia; 2015). Regulation through expanding Medicaid has fallen short due to state autonomy upheld by the Supreme Court ruling; as of September 2015, 20 states refused to adopt the ACA expansion of their Medicaid programs (Garfield and Damico, 2015). Since ACA envisioned that the expansion of Medicaid would cover an increasing number of families and childless adults at a certain percentage of the poverty line, it does not provide financial assistance to people below poverty for other coverage options (ibid.). The result is a coverage gap where many adults do not qualify for Medicaid but are below the lower limit for marketplace premium tax credits (ibid.). Currently, it is estimated that more than 3 million adults fall into this gap indicating that patching a system of inequity and limited access still results a larger in problems for lower income people to gain access to healthcare (ibid.). His moral system and his sense of justice force him to detect horrifying flaws in the society in which he lives. However, this is not his principle difficulty. His principle difficulty is not that he is a rebel, or a coward, nor that he hates society, it is that he has had many experiences and he remembers everything. Holden exhibits the madness described before at often times throughout the book and in the end it ends up sending him to a sanitarium. The question is what is done with this data? People, companies, even the government analyze the data they collect and analyze it with hope of discovering new information. The qualities that made the Dark Knight more in touch with his humanity were; having his origin story trauma affect him until adulthood, experiencing internal psychological conflict, and possessing moral flaws. Principles And Elements Of The Four-Armed Ganesha The Four Armed Ganesha, an Indian terra cotta relief plaque, created during the Gupta period between the 4th and 7th century A.D, depicts the potbellied, four armed deity Ganesha, the remover of obstacles in Hindu mythology. The 49.1 x 67.9 x 20.6 cm representational relief plaque, conceived during India s classical age of sculpture, was discovered in the state of Uttar Pradesh, located in the northern part of India. This magnificent piece is a representational form of artwork. The sculpture s subject, a pan Hindu god, emerged as a deity somewhere as early as 1st 2nd century AD but had definitely come into prominence by the Gupta period. The deity is considered to be a patron of science and art and is by far one of the most prominent Gods in the Hindu doctrine. The sculpture is currently owned by the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas after being acquired from Colnaghi Oriental, London in 1981. In this paper, I intend to interpret the formal principles and elements of Four Armed Ganeshaand confabulate my experience of perceiving this artwork. The relief sculpture, a phenomenal archetype of ceramic art, produced purely through the usage of a human s most basic machinery, fingers and thumbs, and through the most elemental material wet earth, has a porous, coarse and rugged texture. Although the artwork does have a degree of heaviness to it, terra cotta and clay do not have a high density as a result of the material s porousness. The artwork is in a moderate hue of orange with a slight blend of tan, a pale tone of the color brown, a color typical to artifacts and relics made of clay and earthen materials. The sculpture is an example of a high relief, which is found throughout Hindu artworks, although not as frequently as mid reliefs/ mezzo rilievo. The use of single material throughout the artwork and the singular color adds unity to the artwork. Although the artwork is not symmetrical it seems that the artwork would have looked solid, settled and balanced if it had not endured damage over time. The majorly similar halves with 2 devas/devis hovering, one at the bottom and one at the top, along with the giant deity right in the middle, seemed to have imparted balance to the artwork. Similar themes of trust, love, treachery, infidelity and tyranny are found throughout all three plays. While The Winter s Tale and As You Like It share similar happy endings, Othello shares more concepts with The Winter s Tale, but ends with a much more tragic ending. Both Leontes and Othellohave severe trust issues and accuse their wives of having affairs. In these plays, both kings end up being incorrect and therefore produce really dramatic story lines.
