contrasting colors.
• The front cover focuses mainly on the model looking
sideways exaggerating attractive features such as the
jawline to draw attention.
- The upper portion of the models outfit is also
shown to allow colors to help achieve the
same effects
• A white border that helps focus in on the model and
image.

work in harmony with each other

5. Existing Product
• The cover is located in an icy plain cave
• The camera shows a person standing out in a bright red jacket
surrounded by ice and icicles. The camera is positioned behind the
person and quite a distance back as to include the icy structures in
the shot.
• There are no reviews or adverts.
• Most of the colors are harmonious with white which makes the
persons bright jacket stand out and attention seeking.
• The cover line "Embrace the elements." Uses a sharp thin font.
• The text, such as the masthead, is quite small giving the image
more space to show.
• The audience may be intrigued by the icy structures making them
want to read it. Alongside this the text "embrace the elements"

• Images were (presumably) taken in a studio with a blue
backdrop
• The camera image clearly shows a close up focus of four
models full bodies in the frame of the piture.
• There is no review
• There are many shades of blue that blend into each other with
a couple of highlight colours on the jackets like orange and
green.
• The colour of the masthead is a bright, neon pink which looks
very bold and rich. It's very attention seeking.
• The heading takes up a lot of the cover and letters even
interact with the image. The models do take up the majority of
the magazine.
• It has some sharp small text
• The audience would notice the bold mastheading paired
alongside great image colour combinations and find the image
appealing. The models are also purposfully presented to make
them and the clothes look good which would also catch the
audiences eye.
8. Research Analysis
• What common features do the researched
products have?
– Some form of a bold, "stand out" color.
– Some draw attention to attractive features on models
• What aspects of the research will you include
within your own work?
– I will keep lots of bold color combinations and maybe
bold titles.
– I want the cover image and others to mainly focus on
a person and the apparel.
