2. Process
• Today I edited the set of
collected photographs (both
from photo-shoots and
social media) and edited
them in Photoshop. I
removed some
backgrounds, Treated skin
acne with the healing tool +
skin smoothness, reduced
redness by decreasing reds
specifically in the hue and
saturation tab, etc. many of
these were image specific
like in the snow filled
picture I reduced some of
the blues however I still
could have toned it down
more I think.
3. Process
• Today I spent my time experimenting a
little bit in Photoshop. I managed to
figure out how to change black and
white images into coloured images. You
can select a part of the image you want
to be in a specific colour (e.g. the skin).
And put it in a solid fill layer. Then
change the layer blending option to
colour. From there adjust the colour
slider to pick a colour that fits the image.
Personally, I think the colors
in the image look pretty
realistic and well done. I
think its hard to tell that it
was a black and white image
4. Process
• Today I put together the front
cover for my magazine. I picked
between a couple of photos that I
could use on the page and
thought the snowy picture fit best
with the rest of the design I had
in mind. I put the image and logo
into InDesign and started adding
text. The labels could do with
more work to make them look a
little bit more like they are
blended as part of one piece
rather than slapped over the top.
The image could also be fit better
to the page size.
5. Process
• Today I finished the double
page spread. I used the image I
turned from black and white to
colour to take up most of the
space on the left hand page. It
ends up becoming the main
focus of the spread so I used it
to create a paragraph on
advertising. I then created an
article on the right about the
models photo-shoot which
describes the clothes worn in
the collection of images at the
bottom as well as describing
his new advertising
collaboration.
