Reflection
For my field placement this semester I have been placed in School Lane Charter school located in
Bensalem, PA. This charter school takes great measures in making sure their students get the best
quality education. School Lane is an inclusive school, which means that students with or without
disabilities are able to learn together, in the most least restrictive environment. I am placed in a first
grade classroom this semester in Ms. Cameron s room. The student who I chose to observe is Ben.
Mrs. Cameron picked this student for me because it appears that he has some academic struggles
followed by some deficits in social interaction and repetitive behavior such as, rocking back and forth.

After reading the short story as a whole, Ms. Cameron then wanted the students to read independently.
I saw Ben using skills such as, pointing to the words as he read them. However, he often pointed
twice, or skipped pointing to particular words altogether. In addition to this, while reading Ben
omitted and added new words without self correction. This made me think that this was his way of
trying to understand the text. This also leads me to believe that Ben is having some difficulty with
word recognition and fluency/pace. When Ben read the book the second time he used the pictures to
read the story with no regard for the text. This tells me that he is able to interpret the pictures in order
to understand the story when he is not able to read the sentences.
The second lesson I observed was geared towards phonemes, segmenting and blending. Ms. Cameron
did a lot of modeling before this lesson. Although I have only been in her class twice, I can tell she is a
firm believer in the I do, we do, you do method. Ms. Cameron gathered all the students on the rug and
showed the class how to tap out different sounds of the letters in words like sit, mud, sad using their
fingertips. Ben did not participate in this for the majority of the guided practice. I believe that this was
due to Ben s lack of attention during the instruction. He was rocking back and forth in his spot, in
addition to curling his legs

Are all of the different types of national anthem protest in the NFL equally effective at protesting
racial injustices in the US, or are they all just being disrespectful to the flag and the country? There are
many ways players and teams are protesting the National Anthem in the NFL today. The Seattle
Seahawks locked arms and stood, the Pittsburgh Steelers didn t even come onto the field, and the
Arizona Cardinals were allowed to do whatever they felt was right. All of these teams claimed that
they were demonstrating unity and standing up for racial equality. The most effective way was

and it is 117 minutes long. The genre of the movie is Biography and drama. The important theme in
this movie is about the American Dream. It is a very common dream that we all share. The dream is to
being successful and happy. To fulfill that dream in America you need to have courage and the
abilities to achieve your dream.
The Pursuit Of Happiness is based on a true story about a man called Chris Gardner. Chris Gardner is
a great example for somebody that wants to Pursuit his American Dream. The Pursuit Of Happiness is
about how Chris Gardner is willing to make sure he achieves his happiness. For living, Chris Gardner
is a salesman who sells bone density scanners. Eventually he figured out that nobody wanted to buy it
because it is a luxury device in the medical business. Sometime in the beginning of the movie, there is
a scene where we see Chris Gardner approaching and trying to talk to Mr.Twistle. We see a long shot
of them both which shows us that they both are dressed in suits, which means that they both might be
office workers. The long shot then drifts and became a mid shot. The director could have purposely
done that to show that Mr.Twistle is in a hurry and has no time to speak with Chris. Chris Gardner and
Mr.Twistle got in the same cab. While they are in the same taxi together, we see that Chris is talking to
Mr.Twistle but the close up of Mr.Twistle s face shows that he s not interested in what Chris is saying.
This is because Twistle is just playing with a Rubik s cube. We then see an over the shoulder shot
which shows that it could mean that Chris is desperately wanting to talk to Mr.Twistle. Mr.Twistle

Being the Best Missionary to the Indians
A good missionary is one that simply is respected and accepted by the Indians and who has
successfully spread the word of God to them. Many qualities however though play into obtaining this
presence. A lot of Europeans that came to the new world did not possess these many qualities to
understand the Indians. As a Jesuit myself who is a part of the New France mission I do know on a
first hand basis what it takes to be a good missionary. As a part of the New France mission I have
experienced various encounters with several different Indian nations. I do admit that these native
people are very down to earth and connected with each other very well. The purpose of are mission to
New France was to spread the word of God and our Catholic faith to the natives and convert them.
This process is much easier said than it is to actually be done. For one just think about trying to first
communicate with a person who speaks a different language, has no idea who you are, and where you
came from. To sum it up basically trying to talk with an alien from another planet in the skies. This
leads me to saying that communication and patience are the top two qualities that we missionaries

When making my mask, I wanted to create one that oozed authority with a hint of smarminess. I was
ultimately surprised by the outcome, my end product was a trickster. The raised eyebrow however led
to a smirk which ultimately led to the name Draco; a genus of reptiles, very apt for my character.
However, the eviller Draco became the more drastic a counter mask had to be. As our piece was
dedicated to stealing a picture of Zefron Zac Efron , when ripped, Draco had to flip suddenly.
I drew upon the counter mask exercises we had developed in rehearsals. Changing everything that
made Draco who he was. His ever present sneer faded into a frown and a wail.
To achieve Draco s mannerism and voice I charged my mask. Copying the arched eyebrow on the
mask I found a nasally voice with an added scoff at the end. I then began to work on my inner
dramatic monologue.
I wanted to keep in mind that Draco thought himself above everyone else hence a simple inner
monologue; I am surrounded by idiots...peasants, they should be quivering in my mere presence.
Getting the temperament of Draco however was difficult. Despite embodying the arlecchino mask I
wanted Draco to keep an air of authority, the temperament I chose for Draco was Choleric This way
follow me, follow me this way now! .
All the exercises and techniques I used to develop Draco greatly helped me in perfecting his character,
from Lecoq s 7 states to chekov s centres.

Phones are the easiest and most common way to get connected. Through his art, Pawel Kuczynski is
warning the audience of problems that phones cause among people. The artist has created many
paintings to convey the idea of technology causing people to become separated and disconnected from
one another. Kuczynski s art could be seen as a metaphor for young people, being connected through
technology but still isolated in loneliness. Phones are most likely the most commonly used source of

Although, at times, I felt anxious because I could not hear my kids playing. I kept checking on them. I
look at my husband if I felt the floor slightly rumble because I can see the dogs barking and running
