Informative Essay On Pablo Escobar
Pablo Escobar was born at Rionegro, Columbia on December 1, 1949. He was brought up from a good
working class family in Medellin, Columbia. Although, he wasn t very wealthy. His mother was an
elementary school teacher and his father was a farmer. The outage that he saw how he could escape
from the working class was by distributing and selling cocaine. Not only was he a Columbian drug
trafficker and drug lord, but he was also a narco terrorist. He was one of the most ruthless person to
ever live. On March 22, 2017, two retired U.S agents came to Laredo Community College to have a
presentation about Pablo Escobar. The two agent s names are Steve Murphy and Javier Pena. They
were both sent to Columbia, to hunt for Pablo. They both told the audience ... Show more content on

When they were in Columbia, there was murders occurring and bombs being set off on the daily as
well. They stated that the Netflix show Narcos is not totally the same as it occurred truthfully. That is
something that I do believe, the producers for the Netflix show may have left out some true things that
may have happened. I personally do admire and respect the people that were on the hunt for Pablo
Escobar. It was a dangerous mission, that they could have been killed any day. Thankfully they didn t.
It was so unbelievable on how much money Pablo was making in a year, especially in a MONTH!
They presented pictures on how much cocaine was found in one laboratory, out of hundreds of them.
The labs is where they would pack the cocaine in plastic bags. Also, the ways on how they would
smuggle the cocaine were unbelievable. Who would have ever thought of looking in a fruit for drugs?
That was really impressive. The way how he would have people killed was extremely viscous! People
s bodies would be tortured and ripped apart. I personally would never have the heart to do that to
anyone, even if I did not like them. Pablo was a man with no compassion and remorse. Then Pablo
was in prison for five years, with his own guards

Brief Summary Of Into Thin Air By Jon Krakauer
Summary The book Into Thin Air, by Jon Krakauer in mainly about groups of people summiting
everest. Jon writes for a magazine called Outside. In the end, the magazine company decides to send
him up Everest with a group of people led by a Rob Hall, a well respected expedition guide. Jon took
a plane to Nepal and eventually made his way to base camp. Every couple of days they would hike up
to a new camp and then hike back down to base camp. There are four camps and each time they would
hike to a higher camp to get used to the pressure. In chapter 9, they were going to hike from camp 2 to
camp 3, and they ran into a powdery snow storm. Rob told everyone to get down over the radio to
prevent further injury. In chapter 14 Jon makes it to the summit and then left rather quickly. He
encountered many other people pushing for the summit on his way down. While on his way down a
storm comes, Beck Weathers refuses to come with him and waits for Rob, and Jon makes it back to
Camp 4 with Andy Harris. He wakes up the next morning only to find out that many people have not
come down yet, most notably, Rob Hall. Most of Rob s Client were already at camp 4 because they
never went to he summit or even further down at this point. Towards the end of the book, Rob Hall

the end of the book they are obviously overwhelmed by the storm and the fact that people are
dropping like flies. Specificly, people like Rob Hall and Scott Fischer. In total 8 people died on May
11, 1996. They are also overwhelmed in the beginning. The size of the mountain is astonishing to Jon.
He had never seen it in person, so being the size it is, Jon was overwhelmed by Everest. In conclusion,
overwhelmed is the overall mood of Into Thin

Rod Stewart Forever Young Song Analysis
Forever Young. Two words with meaning beyond their miniscule size. Rod Stewart s 1980 s anthem
ignites a spark in one s mind to truly think deeper into the meaning of his decades old lyrics. Being
young is something that every person has to go through and I believe that through the experiences of
our youth we are able to grow not only in years but also in intellect, knowledge, and wisdom. By
growing and going through the hardships that we experience as young people, we are then in turn able
to give back to our children and future generations in helping them to grow and become better people.
This is the perfect song for any parent to dedicate to their children. It s about being there for your kids
and leading by example. Every parent wants ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And when you finally fly away I ll be hoping that I served you well for all the wisdom of a lifetime no
one can ever tell but whatever road you choose I m right behind you, win or lose . Being a parent is
about being supportive. It s about unconditional love and overcoming the hard times to shed light on
the good times. Although we cannot give them everything, what we can do is try our best to give them
all we have, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Our children are the light of our lives
and without them our days would seem meaningless and minute. What Rod Stewart is trying to
capture in these lyrics is that no matter what happens in life and no matter how far away from home
our children may be, they will always be young in our hearts. At birth we see our children as tiny,
precious gifts of life and that image is the first snapshot we think of when we think of our children. No
matter how old they are, our children will always be our little babies. That s the message that Rod
Stewart is sharing with us, his children will always be the little boys and girls with scrapped elbows
and dirty hands. They will always be the children that are scared of the dark and color outside of the
lines. He wants us to understand that no matter what happens in life and no matter our children s ages,
we will always be parents, and they will always be our

Terrorism And Terrorism
When a White man commits a terror act, why is that they are never called terrorist? Why does the
word terrorist only implied to Muslims? What promotes the idea of terrorist? Is terrorism only
implying to someone who commits an act of terror? Or Is it based on being a Muslim or brown, rather
than an act? After 9/11, Muslims were attacked for their religion, up till now according to Lydia O
Connor . Muslims have faced discrimination and hate on the religion because others see Islam as a
threat and a way to promote violence. This is also known as Islamophobia . Muslims are specifically
targeted because of how the media such as Fox News implies them as terrorists . FOX News is a one
of the largest channel in all cable and is a mainstream media in America, where millions of viewers as
exposed to how they reverses the logic of the word terrorist and gives a new meaning that Muslims or
brown are terrorist. The lack of accountability of Fox News holds and presents that Muslims or brown
are terrorist. Nearly sixteen years later, Islamophobia has not improved, the word terrorist became a
word where it s based on perceptions and judgments on appearance. Fox News usage of the word
shows that it is not someone who commits an act of terror, but is given an identity to Muslims and
implied them as terrorist. The word terrorist is only used towards Muslims in Fox news. The term
terrorism has become politicized that the word terrorist is seen as someone who is Muslim or brown.

Rochester Youth Development Study
One study conducted by Chen, Propp, deLara, Corvo at Syracuse University School of Social Work
hypothesized that victims of childhood neglect are more likely to be arrested for juvenile drug and
alcohol offenses than their community matched pairs (Chen et. al, 2013). They also proposed that
adolescents who are male, minority, and neglect victims are at the greatest risk of being arrested for
juvenile drug and alcohol offenses. This is concurrent with my position that neglected children are at
an increased risk for juvenile delinquency. The study utilized data and findings from the Childhood
Victimization and Delinquency, Adult Criminality, and Violent Criminal Behavior in a Large Urban
County in the Northwest United States, 1980 1997 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dr. Cathy S. Widom of the Department of Psychiatry at the New Jersey Medical School, showed that
youth who had been abused or neglected as children were more likely to be arrested as juveniles (27
percent versus 17 percent), adults (42 percent versus 33 percent) and for a violent crime (18 percent
versus 14 percent) than a comparable control group of young people with no comparable history of
abuse or neglect. In the early study by Widom, the researcher followed children who had been abused
and/or neglected approximately 25 years earlier through an examination of official criminal records,
then compared them with a matched control group of children of the same age, sex, race, and
approximate social class (Widom, 2017). The author conducted this research in a metropolitan county
in the Midwest using cases of child abuse and neglect that came to the attention of the courts from
1989 through 1992. An assessment of criminal behavior found that early child abuse and neglect
increased the risk of arrest as a juvenile by 55% and increased the risk of being arrested for a violent
crime as a juvenile by 96%. These researchers also found that those with a history of being abused or
neglected were younger at first arrest

Health And Patient Education For Diabetic Foot Care
Population Health and patient education for diabetic foot care
Generally our population sees diabetes as a disease for people that can t eat sugar, but, those with
diabetes know it comes with some life changing events. Diabetes effects an estimated 29.1 million
Americans each day. Diabetes develops in one of two forms, Type one and Type two. Type one is
insulin dependent diabetes, where the body lacks production of insulin (Ignatavicius Workman, 2013).
Type two diabetics are insulin resistant, affecting mostly adults (Ignatavicius Workman, 2013).
Diabetes is a chronic illness that accounts for many comorbidities and complications to those suffering
from the disease. Diabetes is the seventh leading cause of death from conditions including,
hypertension, dyslipidemia, cardiovascular disease, heart attacks, stroke, blindness, kidney disease,
and amputations (American Diabetes Association, 2016). Management of these complications can
occur with proper education, health promotion, and prevention from the patient. Foot care and ulcer
prevention can reduce or eliminate complications suffered by diabetics; leading to infections requiring
hospitalization and the most serious amputations. Teaching this population or any population about
their healthcare needs and requirements can be difficult. Establishing the best way to education will be
explored within this paper. Throughout this paper the author will take a look at daily foot care and
prevention of ulcers. The paper will

examination of quantitative data relating to the demographics and potential influential factors of self
disclosure practices of Bronies will take place. Secondly, issues of harassment towards Bronies as told
by the fans will look at the methods society attempts to corral the fandom for their transgressions
against gender norms. In response to these attacks of character, some fans will not disclose their

Market History
The oldest direct seller of personal care products is Avon. It was originally known as the California
Perfume Company and was founded in 1886 by a New York book salesman named David H.
McConnell. As a door to door salesman of books, he offered bottles of perfume as a free gift with each
purchase. He soon realized that many of the housewives who purchased books weren t really
interested in the books at all, but rather in the free bottles of perfume. Consequently, McConnell
entered the fragrances and cosmetic business opening the first office in New York. Soon thereafter, a
door to door sales force was built and by the turn of the 20th century, the company employed more
than 10,000 representatives and supported their efforts with a growing line of fragrances, cosmetics,
and other beauty products developed in their very own research laboratory and production facility.
The company began selling its products in Canada in 1914 and reached a sales milestone of 5 million
units. By 1928, sales had grown to

Why Cosmetic Surgery Improves Mental Health
Alecia Colvin A main motivator for getting cosmetic surgery is the desire of being more satisfied with
one s own appearance and improving self esteem. However, research has shown that this is not always
the case. There have been variable results showing whether cosmetic surgery will improve
psychological variables such as body image, self esteem, and mental health. Body image specifically
has been suggested to be a crucial factor in the desire to undergo cosmetic surgery. This is based off
two important components including body image evaluation, referring to how satisfied a person is
with his or her own body, and body image orientation, indicating how important body image is for a
person. A person with a low body image evaluation combined with a high body image orientation
increases the likelihood of a person wanting plastic surgery. Mental health aspects have also been
addressed in research literature. The general question here is whether cosmetic surgery improves
mental health despite previous psychological state.
Studies done in the past have shown variable results. Several studies done have mainly looked at
breast reduction. Only a few studies have examined postoperative changes in other cosmetic surgery
procedures or have looked a several surgery types. There has been evidence suggesting that body
image evaluation improves after breast reduction and augmentation surgery. In another study, results
showed no significant improvement with cosmetic surgery.

Database Vs. Relational Database Model
One size fits all. The developers go to for all data. You need only a relational database. This is the
false assumption that you will see when it comes to database models. The relational database model is
great for data that normally can fit into a table, or shows relationships between data, but not all data
falls into that category. There are a few options for these situations. You can use an object oriented
database, a hierarchical database, a network database, and a flat file database. The first alternative is
known as the object oriented. In a document oriented database model, each individual record, and all
of the data associated with that record, is thought of as a document. In this type of database,
everything that is related to a database object, or document, is grouped together. This keeps the
database organized, and easier to find things that are related to each other. Each document is encoding
data in some format or encoding. The most common formats include XML, JSON and BSON. These
are just some of the formats available, but these seem to be the most popular formats that are being
used.
A document can have single, or even multiple fields. These fields can vary from document to
document, which gives each document a lot of flexibility. There is no need to worry about constraints,
like we see in our relational database, but validation documents can be made to enforce rules as
needed. This type of database can typically accept multiple languages, instead of just

California Gold Rush Report
Gold! Gold! Gold! California Gold Region Seems Inexhaustible! was the headline of many
newspapers during the California Gold Rush. The California Gold Rush began on January 24, 1848
when James Marshall discovered gold while building a water powered mill for John Sutter at Sutter s
Mill in Coloma, California. Marshall spotted the piece of gold coming down the mill s trail race and
went to tell John Sutter about it. Sutter stated in an entry entitled The Discovery of Gold in California ,
In a private room he showed me the first specimens of gold, that is he was not certain if it was gold or
not, but he thought it might be; immediately I made the proof and found that it was gold. Marshall and

The news of the discovery of gold spread quickly to every corner of the world, and people gradually
started to come to California from groups of dozens to ten thousands. J.S. Holiday in his book Rush
for Riches described the migration of the people as, For years thereafter, gold seekers by the hard to
count thousands pushed ashore at California s suddenly famous city (83). Because population of
California had grown excessively, California began to develop. New towns, roads, churches, and
schools sprung up. William Weber Johnson wrote in his informative book The Forty Niners A
potential town was born when a prospector squatting at a wilderness stream washed out a pan full of
gold bearing dirt...A full community of gold hungry campers soon appeared (114). In some towns, the
word city was added to because of its number of inhabitants, and even the capital was moved from
Monterey to San Francisco. In addition, Liza Ketchum said in her book The Gold Rush, California s
growing population pressured Congress for a transcontinental railroad (103). The transcontinental
railroad connected California to all the other states reaching to the East Coast. Moreover, the
population had enlarged to a great extent that it only took a year for California to be admitted as the
31st state. California applied to enter the Union in 1849 and became a state in 1850.The gold rush
caused a major boom in the population. William Weber Johnson summarized the increase in
population in his book, During those half dozen years the momentum of the gold rush had drawn more
than a quarter of a million people... in contrast with the mere 14,000 that had settled before the

segregation under Apartheid. Paton addresses the destruction of the tribal system in South Africa due
to white colonization by using the novel as a medium to illustrate is damage. Throughout the novel we
are exposed to the numerous problems resulting from the colonization. Communities are in collapse,
the land is bare, people are starving, and families are broken. These fictional communities and people

The most dramatic lost is of Stephen own son. Absalom while in Johannesburg is corrupted by his
cousin and break into numerous white people s homes. Absalom is the only one of three found guilty
in the burglary that lead to the death of Arthur Jarvis because he is the only one to admit his mistake
while the other two, one being his cousin, denies any connection. Colonization and the unbearable life
established by whites in South Africa has lead to the lost of family and sense of community. The
Kumalo family serves are a prime example. They are act as individuals rather than a group in
Johannesburg and this ends with numerous broken relationships such as John to Gertrude, Gertrude
with her son, Absalom and his cousin. The family is battered and bruised as a whole, opposite of the
tribal system of the Ndotcheni community that values togetherness and family. The deterioration of
the tribal system can be stopped, but not without the help of the whites they must come together with
the blacks to solve both their problems such as white priests like Father Vincent and black priests like
Mismangu who lived and worked together to better themselves and those around them. It is not the
fact that the tribal community and valves are broken by the whites, but the tragedy is that they are not
mended again. The white has broken the tribe... It suited the white men to break the tribe. But is has
not suited him to build something in the place of what is broken (56).

article The trouble With Youth Curfews stated first there were incidences of shop lifting then on July
29 youths got violent in central city beating and hospitalizing 59 people. Also teens should be at home
worrying about school and there future and not on the streets getting into trouble or doing drugs. Also
when you have a job working nights and your kids think they can go out and stay out because no body
is home just pay someone to watch them so they

The Song Walk This Way `` By The Rock Band Aerosmith And...
During the 1970s, Rock and Roll dominated the music culture and charts with some of the best hits
from bands such as Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, and others, while at the same time early Hip Hop were
starting up with artists such as Kool Herc and Grandmaster Flash. The genre stayed an underground
phenomenon throughout the 1970s and fairly unpopular with the white audience of Rock and Roll,
which held back its appearance in mainstream music until the mid 1980s. In this paper, I compare the
differences in the arrangements of the song Walk This Way by the rock band Aerosmith and a cover
done by the Hip Hop group Run D.M.C, and explore the music culture of the 1970s and 1980s which
influence the original song and its cover version. I argue that Run DMC s progressive crossover cover
of Walk This Way by Aerosmith took down the wall separating Rock and Roll and Hip Hop,
legitimizing the genre s acceptability and propelling it into popular mainstream music. The 1970s, also
known as the Me Decade , was a time of diversifying music. The Beatles had broken up, Jimi Hendrix
and Janis Joplin had died from drug overdose, Led Zeppelin was Britain s most popular group, The
Rolling Stones weren t active, and rock roll was branching out into various popular subgenres such as:
Country Rock, Glam Rock, Progressive Rock, Punk Rock, Soft Rock, and Hard Rock/Heavy Metal.
Hard rock and Heavy Metal were interchangeable terms during the time because of their similarity;

Intel Pentium Chip Controversy
Case Analysis: The Intel Pentium Chip Controversy (A)
Immediate Issue: As Andrew Grove, during my meeting of December 17,1994 with my internal team,
Should I approve replacing the defective Intel chips of all concerned users with no question asked?
Also, should we also pay for the labor and other incidental costs? How should we integrate our
decision into our financial books?
Basic Issues:
Negative Publicity: Since Oct 30th, we have encountered a self propelled negative publicity campaign
against Pentium brand and it doesn t seem to fade away if we don t do anything.
Business Ethics: We knew this problem since October, but tried to hide it with the hope that it will
fade away. We will be scrutinized from an ethical perspective. ... Show more content on

To find out all available options and their pros and cons my team has put together the following
analysis:
In one and half month the single word of one mathematician has turned into a worldwide campaign
against us. AMD, Cyrix, and Nexgen are benefiting most from these events. They proved to have
become quicker in manufacturing clones of our innovative products. Given this shorter time to market,
they may jump on this opportunity to deliver Pentium clones any time. Our strategy to stop
competitors copying our new products was heavy patent protection for the Pentium brand, however if
our brand image is continually damaged to such extent, that protection would not give us the
competitive advantage we expected. Although we have been the chips of choice for most of users,
with the current negative publicity, the competitors may find their niche and expand their market
share. Cost of switching from one type of processor to another (for example from Intel to AMD) is not
significant for computer manufacturers due to the modular nature of this product. We know that this
flaw would not affect any significant portion of the personal users (about 3.7 millions chips sold). The
business users with heavy calculation needs such as engineering and specifically financial sectors

Mrs. Mallard s The Story Of An Hour
In The Story of an Hour a woman, Mrs.Mallard, has heart trouble and is in the hospital. While she s in
there, her husband s friend and her sister are in the room with her gently telling her the news of her
husband. She didn t react as any woman would with balling their eyes out and a paralyzed mindset and
emotions everywhere. But Mrs.Mallard displayed a different type of emotion, she remained calm and
went into her room and reminisced on the past and her new future ahead of her. She thinks about her
newfound freedom and how she ll be able to live her life as an independent woman and free. While
Mrs.Mallard is thinking about her self asserted life in front of her, until her sister is at the door telling
her to open the door. She opens the door to see her sister and together walk down the stairs. There she
sees her husband s friend waiting for them at the bottom of the staircase. Someone was opening the
door, and there walked in Mrs.Mallard s husband who was thought to be dead. The few minutes of a
free, independent life came to rest as she herself fell dead. Contradicting the cultural standard of how
women react,O Flaherty portrayed the women as strong as well as ... Show more content on

O Flaherty writes And yet she had loved him sometimes. Often she had not. This displays the sense as
there was no real connection between the two, or much women in the time period. Mrs.Mallard
seemed as if she didn t love her husband as much as she should ve. It later read What did it matter!
What could love, the unsolved mystery, count for in the face of this self assertion... This could explain
how she really felt towards the relationship she was having with her husband. The relationship
between man and women seemed as false love and as if there was no real connection between the two,
and if there was, it was something that wasn t felt very

The Theory Of Knowledge Management Models
In order for public and private organizations to exploit and manage knowledge in their daily processes
and integrate knowledge management in their strategic planning, the managers of the organizations
must know the actual meaning of knowledge. Right now, the three knowledge management models
being used in organizations are Nonaka and Takeuci s (knowledge spiral), Firestone and McElroy s
(knowledge life cycle) snowden s (Cynefin Model) (Heaidari, Khanifar Moghimi, 2011).
The first two models are based on justified true premise and Popperian framework respectively, which
are assumptions (Jamaluddin Khalifa, 2012). None of the three models is capable of providing a real
world scenario for knowledge process illustration with a good explanation of how it works
(Milovanović, 2011). If organizations continue using the current knowledge management models they
will only describe how knowledge process works but it will not be easy to evaluate the models or even
determine their usefulness in both private and public organizations. I propose to fill this gap by
developing a better end to end model for better knowledge management process (Jamaluddin Khalifa,
2012).
Background of the Problem
After observing most organizations I have realized how their planning is similar to a ritual rain dance;
the dance has no impact on succeeding weather, but the dancers belief it does. It appears to me that the
instructions followed in strategic planning in most organizations are aimed at

Carl Von Clausewitz s The Fundamental Nature Of War
Carl von Clausewitz articulated a number of observations and principles describing the fundamental
nature of war. First among these is his assertion that all military action, including war, is aimed at
achieving a political objective. Additionally, he observed that each side in a conflict would resist the
other with a degree of effort equal to the value of their political objective. Finally, he argued that it is
essential to focus all efforts on overcoming an adversary s principle source of strength, otherwise
called their center of gravity. Modern strategists can employ these same principles to gain better
understanding of their adversary and develop a plan to achieve their objective. The primacy of
politics, resistance, and center of gravity are Clausewitz s most profound insights and together they
provide a tool that enable strategists to understand and overcome an adversary. History lends support
to Clausewitz s description of war as an instrument of politics. Mao Tse tung recognized this
relationship when he wrote about China s struggle to free itself from Japanese invaders. Mao
characterized war as a means to remove obstacles standing in the way of political objectives. In Mao s
case, a protracted war was an instrument to remove the Japanese occupation force, which was the
obstacle to achieving his political goal of an independent China. Mao s case is an important example
because it not only supports the idea that war is used to achieve a

American Citizen Failure
Throughout the history of the world we as humans have constantly shown that we are a destructive
species. We always manage to destroy families, the environment, cities, and people s livelihood as a
whole. While forever more doing so in the name of world peace or democracy. This is an outrage to all
residents of the world who may or may not be caught in the crossfire and furthermore readily shows
our government has drastically failed us in its sole duty to protect the people. Thomas Jefferson once
said, The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only object of
good government. (Brainyquote, 2016) We as a nation have failed in our duty to protect each other
through countless wars, while fighting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We have tried doing so through diplomatic means, embargos, treaties, and alliances. Without a
constant mindset from congress and the President of the United States we cannot fully accomplish this
task because it takes persistence and undying resolve to complete this mission. Recently we have
reached a diplomatic treaty with Iran to prevent them from attaining anymore nuclear technology.
(White House, 2016) This is a superb example at what can be accomplished without condemning
young men, young women, and civilians to die in war.
Changing the mindset of our current Senate men and women will be almost impossible to do, so I
propose changing the education in our schools to put forth a new generation of young men and women
who understand all aspects of war and will choose diplomacy over armed conflict. While also being
aware that countless lives are at risk that involves not only our country but the innumerable amount of
innocent civilians where the conflict is taking place. For the good of the world, nation, and people we
must act on this ideal persistently and without

Analysis Of The Ravishing Of Lol Stein
Analyzing the Liberation of Lol Stein
Through searching inside the haze one will find their true self. In the book The Ravishing of Lol Stein
by Marguerite Duras, the main character, Lol Stein, goes through a journey to express her true
personality. In the passage, Lol has an affair with the narrator, Jack Hold, which shows her transition
as a person the most. Her internal transition into becoming an entirely different person is highlighted
by the author s use of repetition, diction, symbolism, and dialogue.
The repetition of the passage shows the confusion linked to Lol s transition. The repeated use of
rhetorical questions show the perplexity of Lol s transition. In the passage, the narrator says who is
there in the bed? Who does she think she is? The open endedness of the rhetorical question forces the
audience to evaluate Lol s present mental state. Due to the questions being rhetorical, no answers are
given leaving the audience in a state of confusion with little evidence to help identify Lol. Later, the
narrator asks another rhetorical question asking who was it before me? The question calls for the
audience to intervene again and think about who Lol was as a person now but he immediately shuts
the question down by saying I don t care. This shows he has no interest in the transition of Lol.
Though the situation is confusing, he carries on as if everything is the same. Another point where the
repetition provided insight was when the author stated she insulted

Alligator Vs Crocodile Compare And Contrast
Alligator vs crocodile Many people get the Alligator and the Crocodile confused.Yes there are some
similarities but there is ways to tell the difference. Even though many people can not tell the
difference between the two there are many differences like the alligator has a little bit brighter color
on their skin. One of the main ways that you can tell an alligator and a crocodile apart is the nose or
the snout. On an alligator the nose of the animal is more of a u shape. Another way is the crocodile
teeth stick out of its mouth when its mouth is closed. They both have really sharp teeth and a lot of
power in their bite. The average length of a crocodile is a whopping 19 feet long. Compared to the
alligator is huge. Alligators are

Personal Assessment Of Strengths And Areas For Development
What did you learn about your leadership? Personal Assessment of Strengths and Areas for
Development. I have more than one overdone strengths. One of them is over optimism about people,
organization, and trust in the management team. Whether it s upper level, or middle management, I
always feel that they know the best, and they know what they are doing. I only see that everything is
done accurately as they are versus how they could or should be. Remaining loyal to others and the
organization does cause issues for me, because others don t normally see it that way. Trying to make
things easier for others, or trying to be less of a burden on others is perceived as I have no backbone of
myself. Defending the rights of others is seen as I m just always siding with the others. Ensuring
others are valued is seen as what do I need from them. Being sincere is seen as I don t know what I m
doing, and am very easy to please, so I can be ignored. Involve family and friends to point out to me
when I m over using my strengths. This will make me aware of what I really need to concentrate on.
This will help me focus and align my strengths on the needs of everyone, and the organization, and
concentrate on other people who have complementary strengths. Realization that my overdone
strengths could in fact be detrimental to not only my progress, but also others. In general, overdoing it
may hurt my effectiveness just as much as underdoing it. I have to be more cognizance of how others

Holbrook Perspective On Democracy
Holbrook s and Rose s perspectives on democracy is that some people are taking advantage of what
they have which isn t fair for the people who struggle to maintain their lifestyle with less, while other
people have more opportunities/privileges. Holbrook s response on democracy is that she feels that
they should have equal rights, just as she does. She finds it wrong that the government is careless
when it comes to the people that they think don t need the resources, supplies, when they really do. To
add on to, Holbrook writes on page 114, That same government that issues us two rolls per day, 94%
of the days since our last 6% cut. Two rolls. (Page 114). Holbrook says this to imply and emphasize
the fact that the government is stubborn and won t give more than two rolls per day which will. In
addition, Holbrook states, The same government that issues food stamps for kool aid, popsicles, and
tater tots, but not for toilet paper, like it s some privilege that poor folk don t need (Page 114).

President Donald Trump took action on April 6, 2017 at 8:40 p.m. in response to a chemical weapon
attack in Syria. President Donald Trump said, North Korea is a problem. The problem will be taken
care of. On President Trump s orders, US warships launched 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles at the
airbase that was home to the warplanes that carried out the chemical attacks (Starr.) This was an
example that happened most recent to why we use nuclear weapons and when we choose to use them.
Having to use nuclear weapons is not always the answer and the military don t always use them.
However, when the President orders them too then they will. According to most military men and
women, That was one of the best nights of my life hearing President Trump launch missiles at Syria. It

  • 2. Informative Essay On Pablo Escobar Pablo Escobar was born at Rionegro, Columbia on December 1, 1949. He was brought up from a good working class family in Medellin, Columbia. Although, he wasn t very wealthy. His mother was an elementary school teacher and his father was a farmer. The outage that he saw how he could escape from the working class was by distributing and selling cocaine. Not only was he a Columbian drug trafficker and drug lord, but he was also a narco terrorist. He was one of the most ruthless person to ever live. On March 22, 2017, two retired U.S agents came to Laredo Community College to have a presentation about Pablo Escobar. The two agent s names are Steve Murphy and Javier Pena. They were both sent to Columbia, to hunt for Pablo. They both told the audience ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When they were in Columbia, there was murders occurring and bombs being set off on the daily as well. They stated that the Netflix show Narcos is not totally the same as it occurred truthfully. That is something that I do believe, the producers for the Netflix show may have left out some true things that may have happened. I personally do admire and respect the people that were on the hunt for Pablo Escobar. Also, the ways on how they would smuggle the cocaine were unbelievable. Who would have ever thought of looking in a fruit for drugs? That was really impressive. The way how he would have people killed was extremely viscous! People s bodies would be tortured and ripped apart. I personally would never have the heart to do that to anyone, even if I did not like them. Pablo was a man with no compassion and remorse. Then Pablo was in prison for five years, with his own guards ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the end, the magazine company decides to send him up Everest with a group of people led by a Rob Hall, a well respected expedition guide. Jon took a plane to Nepal and eventually made his way to base camp. Every couple of days they would hike up to a new camp and then hike back down to base camp. There are four camps and each time they would hike to a higher camp to get used to the pressure. In chapter 9, they were going to hike from camp 2 to camp 3, and they ran into a powdery snow storm. Rob told everyone to get down over the radio to prevent further injury. In chapter 14 Jon makes it to the summit and then left rather quickly. He encountered many other people pushing for the summit on his way down. While on his way down a storm comes, Beck Weathers refuses to come with him and waits for Rob, and Jon makes it back to Camp 4 with Andy Harris. He wakes up the next morning only to find out that many people have not come down yet, most notably, Rob Hall. Most of Rob s Client were already at camp 4 because they never went to he summit or even further down at this point. Towards the end of the book, Rob Hall says ... • 4. Rod Stewart Forever Young Song Analysis Forever Young. Two words with meaning beyond their miniscule size. Rod Stewart s 1980 s anthem ignites a spark in one s mind to truly think deeper into the meaning of his decades old lyrics. Being young is something that every person has to go through and I believe that through the experiences of our youth we are able to grow not only in years but also in intellect, knowledge, and wisdom. By growing and going through the hardships that we experience as young people, we are then in turn able to give back to our children and future generations in helping them to grow and become better people. This is the perfect song for any parent to dedicate to their children. It s about being there for your kids and leading by example. Every parent wants ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... And when you finally fly away I ll be hoping that I served you well for all the wisdom of a lifetime no one can ever tell but whatever road you choose I m right behind you, win or lose . Being a parent is about being supportive. It s about unconditional love and overcoming the hard times to shed light on the good times. Although we cannot give them everything, what we can do is try our best to give them all we have, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Our children are the light of our lives and without them our days would seem meaningless and minute. What Rod Stewart is trying to capture in these lyrics is that no matter what happens in life and no matter how far away from home our children may be, they will always be young in our hearts. At birth we see our children as tiny, precious gifts of life and that image is the first snapshot we think of when we think of our children. No matter how old they are, our children will always be our little babies. That s the message that Rod Stewart is sharing with us, his children will always be the little boys and girls with scrapped elbows and dirty hands. They will always be the children that are scared of the dark and color outside of the lines. He wants us to understand that no matter what happens in life and no matter our children s ages, we will always be parents, and they will always be our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Terrorism And Terrorism When a White man commits a terror act, why is that they are never called terrorist? Why does the word terrorist only implied to Muslims? What promotes the idea of terrorist? Is terrorism only implying to someone who commits an act of terror? Or Is it based on being a Muslim or brown, rather than an act? After 9/11, Muslims were attacked for their religion, up till now according to Lydia O Connor . Muslims have faced discrimination and hate on the religion because others see Islam as a threat and a way to promote violence. This is also known as Islamophobia . Muslims are specifically targeted because of how the media such as Fox News implies them as terrorists . FOX News is a one of the largest channel in all cable and is a mainstream media in America, where millions of viewers as exposed to how they reverses the logic of the word terrorist and gives a new meaning that Muslims or brown are terrorist. The lack of accountability of Fox News holds and presents that Muslims or brown are terrorist. Nearly sixteen years later, Islamophobia has not improved, the word terrorist became a word where it s based on perceptions and judgments on appearance. Fox News usage of the word shows that it is not someone who commits an act of terror, but is given an identity to Muslims and implied them as terrorist. The word terrorist is only used towards Muslims in Fox news. The term terrorism has become politicized that the word terrorist is seen as someone who is Muslim or brown. In ... Rochester Youth Development Study One study conducted by Chen, Propp, deLara, Corvo at Syracuse University School of Social Work hypothesized that victims of childhood neglect are more likely to be arrested for juvenile drug and alcohol offenses than their community matched pairs (Chen et. al, 2013). They also proposed that adolescents who are male, minority, and neglect victims are at the greatest risk of being arrested for juvenile drug and alcohol offenses. This is concurrent with my position that neglected children are at an increased risk for juvenile delinquency. Widom of the Department of Psychiatry at the New Jersey Medical School, showed that youth who had been abused or neglected as children were more likely to be arrested as juveniles (27 percent versus 17 percent), adults (42 percent versus 33 percent) and for a violent crime (18 percent versus 14 percent) than a comparable control group of young people with no comparable history of abuse or neglect. In the early study by Widom, the researcher followed children who had been abused and/or neglected approximately 25 years earlier through an examination of official criminal records, then compared them with a matched control group of children of the same age, sex, race, and approximate social class (Widom, 2017). The author conducted this research in a metropolitan county in the Midwest using cases of child abuse and neglect that came to the attention of the courts from 1989 through 1992. An assessment of criminal behavior found that early child abuse and neglect increased the risk of arrest as a juvenile by 55% and increased the risk of being arrested for a violent crime as a juvenile by 96%. • 15. Why Cosmetic Surgery Improves Mental Health Alecia Colvin A main motivator for getting cosmetic surgery is the desire of being more satisfied with one s own appearance and improving self esteem. However, research has shown that this is not always the case. There have been variable results showing whether cosmetic surgery will improve psychological variables such as body image, self esteem, and mental health. Body image specifically has been suggested to be a crucial factor in the desire to undergo cosmetic surgery. This is based off two important components including body image evaluation, referring to how satisfied a person is with his or her own body, and body image orientation, indicating how important body image is for a person. A person with a low body image evaluation combined with a high body image orientation increases the likelihood of a person wanting plastic surgery. Mental health aspects have also been addressed in research literature. The general question here is whether cosmetic surgery improves mental health despite previous psychological state. Studies done in the past have shown variable results. Several studies done have mainly looked at breast reduction. Only a few studies have examined postoperative changes in other cosmetic surgery procedures or have looked a several surgery types. There has been evidence suggesting that body image evaluation improves after breast reduction and augmentation surgery. In another study, results showed no significant improvement with cosmetic surgery. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 16. Database Vs. Relational Database Model One size fits all. The developers go to for all data. You need only a relational database. This is the false assumption that you will see when it comes to database models. The relational database model is great for data that normally can fit into a table, or shows relationships between data, but not all data falls into that category. There are a few options for these situations. You can use an object oriented database, a hierarchical database, a network database, and a flat file database. The first alternative is known as the object oriented. In a document oriented database model, each individual record, and all of the data associated with that record, is thought of as a document. In this type of database, everything that is related to a database object, or document, is grouped together. This keeps the database organized, and easier to find things that are related to each other. Each document is encoding data in some format or encoding. The most common formats include XML, JSON and BSON. These are just some of the formats available, but these seem to be the most popular formats that are being used. A document can have single, or even multiple fields. These fields can vary from document to document, which gives each document a lot of flexibility. There is no need to worry about constraints, like we see in our relational database, but validation documents can be made to enforce rules as needed. This type of database can typically accept multiple languages, instead of just ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The California Gold Rush began on January 24, 1848 when James Marshall discovered gold while building a water powered mill for John Sutter at Sutter s Mill in Coloma, California. Marshall spotted the piece of gold coming down the mill s trail race and went to tell John Sutter about it. Sutter stated in an entry entitled The Discovery of Gold in California , In a private room he showed me the first specimens of gold, that is he was not certain if it was gold or not, but he thought it might be; immediately I made the proof and found that it was gold. The news of the discovery of gold spread quickly to every corner of the world, and people gradually started to come to California from groups of dozens to ten thousands. J.S. Holiday in his book Rush for Riches described the migration of the people as, For years thereafter, gold seekers by the hard to count thousands pushed ashore at California s suddenly famous city (83). Because population of California had grown excessively, California began to develop. New towns, roads, churches, and schools sprung up. William Weber Johnson wrote in his informative book The Forty Niners A potential town was born when a prospector squatting at a wilderness stream washed out a pan full of gold bearing dirt...A full community of gold hungry campers soon appeared (114). In some towns, the word city was added to because of its number of inhabitants, and even the capital was moved from Monterey to San Francisco. In addition, Liza Ketchum said in her book The Gold Rush, California s growing population pressured Congress for a transcontinental railroad (103). The transcontinental railroad connected California to all the other states reaching to the East Coast. Moreover, the population had enlarged to a great extent that it only took a year for California to be admitted as the 31st state. California applied to enter the Union in 1849 and became a state in 1850.The gold rush caused a major boom in the population. William Weber Johnson summarized the increase in population in his book, During those half dozen years the momentum of the gold rush had drawn more than a quarter of a million people... in contrast with the mere 14,000 that had settled before the discovery of gold ... Throughout the novel we are exposed to the numerous problems resulting from the colonization. Communities are in collapse, the land is bare, people are starving, and families are broken. The deterioration of the tribal system can be stopped, but not without the help of the whites they must come together with the blacks to solve both their problems such as white priests like Father Vincent and black priests like Mismangu who lived and worked together to better themselves and those around them. • 23. The Song Walk This Way `` By The Rock Band Aerosmith And... During the 1970s, Rock and Roll dominated the music culture and charts with some of the best hits from bands such as Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, and others, while at the same time early Hip Hop were starting up with artists such as Kool Herc and Grandmaster Flash. The genre stayed an underground phenomenon throughout the 1970s and fairly unpopular with the white audience of Rock and Roll, which held back its appearance in mainstream music until the mid 1980s. In this paper, I compare the differences in the arrangements of the song Walk This Way by the rock band Aerosmith and a cover done by the Hip Hop group Run D.M.C, and explore the music culture of the 1970s and 1980s which influence the original song and its cover version. I argue that Run DMC s progressive crossover cover of Walk This Way by Aerosmith took down the wall separating Rock and Roll and Hip Hop, legitimizing the genre s acceptability and propelling it into popular mainstream music. The 1970s, also known as the Me Decade , was a time of diversifying music. The Beatles had broken up, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin had died from drug overdose, Led Zeppelin was Britain s most popular group, The Rolling Stones weren t active, and rock roll was branching out into various popular subgenres such as: Country Rock, Glam Rock, Progressive Rock, Punk Rock, Soft Rock, and Hard Rock/Heavy Metal. To find out all available options and their pros and cons my team has put together the following analysis: In one and half month the single word of one mathematician has turned into a worldwide campaign against us. AMD, Cyrix, and Nexgen are benefiting most from these events. They proved to have become quicker in manufacturing clones of our innovative products. Given this shorter time to market, they may jump on this opportunity to deliver Pentium clones any time. Our strategy to stop competitors copying our new products was heavy patent protection for the Pentium brand, however if our brand image is continually damaged to such extent, that protection would not give us the competitive advantage we expected. Although we have been the chips of choice for most of users, with the current negative publicity, the competitors may find their niche and expand their market share. Cost of switching from one type of processor to another (for example from Intel to AMD) is not significant for computer manufacturers due to the modular nature of this product. We know that this flaw would not affect any significant portion of the personal users (about 3.7 millions chips sold). • 26. The Theory Of Knowledge Management Models In order for public and private organizations to exploit and manage knowledge in their daily processes and integrate knowledge management in their strategic planning, the managers of the organizations must know the actual meaning of knowledge. Right now, the three knowledge management models being used in organizations are Nonaka and Takeuci s (knowledge spiral), Firestone and McElroy s (knowledge life cycle) snowden s (Cynefin Model) (Heaidari, Khanifar Moghimi, 2011). The first two models are based on justified true premise and Popperian framework respectively, which are assumptions (Jamaluddin Khalifa, 2012). None of the three models is capable of providing a real world scenario for knowledge process illustration with a good explanation of how it works (Milovanović, 2011). If organizations continue using the current knowledge management models they will only describe how knowledge process works but it will not be easy to evaluate the models or even determine their usefulness in both private and public organizations. I propose to fill this gap by developing a better end to end model for better knowledge management process (Jamaluddin Khalifa, 2012). Background of the Problem After observing most organizations I have realized how their planning is similar to a ritual rain dance; the dance has no impact on succeeding weather, but the dancers belief it does. It appears to me that the instructions followed in strategic planning in most organizations are aimed at ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 27. Carl Von Clausewitz s The Fundamental Nature Of War Carl von Clausewitz articulated a number of observations and principles describing the fundamental nature of war. First among these is his assertion that all military action, including war, is aimed at achieving a political objective. Additionally, he observed that each side in a conflict would resist the other with a degree of effort equal to the value of their political objective. Finally, he argued that it is essential to focus all efforts on overcoming an adversary s principle source of strength, otherwise called their center of gravity. Modern strategists can employ these same principles to gain better understanding of their adversary and develop a plan to achieve their objective. The primacy of politics, resistance, and center of gravity are Clausewitz s most profound insights and together they provide a tool that enable strategists to understand and overcome an adversary. History lends support to Clausewitz s description of war as an instrument of politics. Mao Tse tung recognized this relationship when he wrote about China s struggle to free itself from Japanese invaders. Mao characterized war as a means to remove obstacles standing in the way of political objectives. In Mao s case, a protracted war was an instrument to remove the Japanese occupation force, which was the obstacle to achieving his political goal of an independent China. Mao s case is an important example because it not only supports the idea that war is used to achieve a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the book The Ravishing of Lol Stein by Marguerite Duras, the main character, Lol Stein, goes through a journey to express her true personality. In the passage, Lol has an affair with the narrator, Jack Hold, which shows her transition as a person the most. Her internal transition into becoming an entirely different person is highlighted by the author s use of repetition, diction, symbolism, and dialogue. The repetition of the passage shows the confusion linked to Lol s transition. The repeated use of rhetorical questions show the perplexity of Lol s transition. In the passage, the narrator says who is there in the bed? Who does she think she is? The open endedness of the rhetorical question forces the audience to evaluate Lol s present mental state. Due to the questions being rhetorical, no answers are given leaving the audience in a state of confusion with little evidence to help identify Lol. Later, the narrator asks another rhetorical question asking who was it before me? The question calls for the audience to intervene again and think about who Lol was as a person now but he immediately shuts the question down by saying I don t care. This shows he has no interest in the transition of Lol. Though the situation is confusing, he carries on as if everything is the same. Another point where the repetition provided insight was when the author stated she insulted ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Whether it s upper level, or middle management, I always feel that they know the best, and they know what they are doing. I only see that everything is done accurately as they are versus how they could or should be. Remaining loyal to others and the organization does cause issues for me, because others don t normally see it that way. Trying to make things easier for others, or trying to be less of a burden on others is perceived as I have no backbone of myself. Defending the rights of others is seen as I m just always siding with the others. Ensuring others are valued is seen as what do I need from them.
