Ipv4. Internet Protocol Version 4 ( Ipv4 )
IPV4
Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) is the fourth version of the Internet Protocol (IP) and it is only
protocol widely used for the communication purpose in the computer networks and it works in the
Internet layer of the OSI reference model. The IPv4 address is 32 bits long. The 32 bit is divided into
four groups. Each group has the eight bits which forms as an octet. Each IP address has two parts
called the network id and the host id. This IP address is used as a unique identification address for the
hosts in the networks. Network ID also known as network address used to identify the network from
the large internetwork. All the computers in the same network will have the same network ID. Host ID
is also known as host address used to identify the host in the same network. There are five classes of
IPv4 address. They are Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D and Class E. Class A, Class B and Class C
are most commonly used, Class D is multicast and Class E is for the research and the development
purpose. These classes of IP addresses are used in different location based on the network
infrastructure.
The first octet in the class A IP address belong to the network part and the remaining three octets
represents the host part of the IP address. Class A can be written as N.H.H.H, N refers the network
identifier and the H refers the host identifier, The number of available hosts is 16,77,214 in each
network, number of networks available is 128 and the default mask is

Compare And Contrast Vaca And Cardenas
Compare and Contrast Essay Death, starvation, illness, and hostile natives are some of the difficulties
explorers faced during the 15th century. Alvar Nunez Cabeza de Vaca and Garcia Lopez de Cardenas
were two Europeans who traveled great distances in hopes of discovering something new. Throughout
their journeys, both men wrote down the problems and discoveries they made. With the passages from
their journal one can compare and contrast their expeditions. In the upcoming paragraphs one will
learn the similarities and differences between the two men during their expeditions. Vaca and
Cardenas were both Europeans who held positions of high status in the Spanish army. During their
expeditions, both men interacted with Native American groups that were able to assist them along
their travels. Even with the help of the Indians, their journeys were still difficult and long. The reason
for this is because of geographical and weather conditions. Furthermore, the scarcity of food and water
also affected the length of the journey and those who were traveling. Yet, with all these difficulties,
Vaca and Cardenas were both able to find what they were looking for. In continuation, born ... Show

The Battle Of The Revolutionary War
On two sides of a field, stand two armies. Both have rows of soldiers standing side by side, shoulder
to shoulder, with their muskets raised, gleaming in the sun, and their bayonets strapped to the their
sides. The difference between them being that one army, is highly trained and outnumbers the other,
while the other army, is small and poorly trained; equipped with only some skills they ve gathered in
the few months of training. This is the Continental Army and the Red Army, in the first of the many
battles of the Revolutionary War. The Continental Army, made up of colonists that were fed up with
Britain s countless oppressive laws, unfair taxes, and infuriating actions, wanted independence from
Britain. On July 4, 1776, The Declaration ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thomas Paine, a great journalist who encouraged the fight for independence, was one of the
supporters of the war who helped strengthen the fighting colonists (Ayers, de la Teja, Schulzinger,
White, 2007). For instance, a series of articles he wrote called The American Crisis, was read by
Washington to revive the spirits of his struggling army at Valley Forge:
These are the times that try men s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this
crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks
of man and woman. Thomas Paine, The American Crisis
The continuing encouragement and support of passages like this that the Continental Army received,
motivated them to keep fighting and pull through the war. It was one of the most important reasons the
colonists were victorious in the end. Furthermore, there was also great leadership. Although the
Continental Army had a shortage of supplies and a weakly trained army, they certainly didn t lack a
strong military leadership. This leadership was provided by George Washington. Though he s known
much better as a president, he was also a brilliant military leader (Ayers et al., 2007). He was a vital
part of America s victory against the British because of his management of his army and his
encouraging and inspiring words to them during their struggles (Ayers et al., 2007). For instance,
during the winter at Volley Forge from

Compare And Contrast Hurricanes And Tornadoes
Whoosh, that was a close one. Theses things are powerful. What just happened was indeed a tornado.
Hurricanes and tornadoes have similar characteristics. They both have strong winds, that cause
destruction, and happen in certain places mostly.
First of all, you need to know about their winds. Their winds spin in a cyclonic motion according to
Weather Wizard. Tornados can spin two different ways. Hurricanes spin up to 300 mph in wind speed.
Tornados can not spin that fast. But both of their winds are powerful. The fastest tornado could run
through Manhattan and almost completely destroy it.
Also, their wind can cause destruction. According to Spencer Adkins hurricanes can destroy a state.
Hurricanes are huge and don t miss a thing in their path. A tornado pick off buildings one by one.
Tornados can destroy a hose and leave the other untouched(source 4). Hurricanes and tornados can

The Timeless Quality of the Foundations of Excellent...
Foundations of Excellent Leadership Are Timeless
Introduction
It is often said that a manager is what one does and leader is who one is. This is especially the case
during times of turbulent economic, social and political change. In the debate of whether the
effectiveness of a leader s communication skills is dependent on their age or generation, one must take
into account one of the most critical skills in any leaders skill set, and that is emotional intelligence
(EI) (Avolio, Yammarino, 2002). Great leadership is timeless as it is predicated on respect and
motivation of subordinates and peers and subordinates, along with a very clear focus on results
attained through shared vision. It is the intent of this analysis to show that transformational leadership
is timeliness because it is predicated on principles applicable to each generation. The impact of
technology on leadership is to accelerate transparency and trust across entire organizations when
transformational leaders are driving progress to shared goals and objectives (Bernoff, Li, 2008).
Technology will amplify excellent leadership and shine a very bright light on mediocre and inferior
leadership over time (Gilley, Dixon, Gilley, 2008).
Analysis Of Transformational Leadership Across Generations
The core, foundational elements of transformational leadership are more predicated on Emotional
Intelligence (EI), charisma, communication and collaboration capacity than any topically driven or
short term attribute

Coercive Act Dbq
The Coercive Acts, also known as the Intolerable Acts, were a series of British measures passed in
1774 designed to punish Massachusetts colonists for the Boston Tea Party. The Intolerable Acts were
the cause for the American War for Independence because the colonists felt they were being controlled
with the implement of vigorous policies in the American colonies. The Boston Port Act,
Massachusetts Government Act, the Act for the Impartial Administration of Justice, the Quebec Act,
and the Quartering Act were all passed as a retaliation to the Boston Tea Party and gave colonists the
right to react. The Boston Port Act angered the colonists the most, the Act closed the Boston harbor to
all shipping until the town had compensated the Dutch East India Company for the destruction of its
tea and assured the King of it s future loyalty. It prohibited ships from docking in Boston, those ships
caught docking were confiscated along with all cargo. The Boston Port Act continued the movement
of colonial unity in respect to their view of England, and colonial unification. One of the immediate
consequences of closing the port were the economic damages placed on Massachusetts. The merchant
class was affected by the elimination of any ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

providing for greater royal control. Prior to the Act, Massachusetts separated itself from the other
colonies in the fact they had the ability to elect members of its executive council. This Act took that
right away and alternatively gave the king the sole power to appoint officials. However, the Patriot
leaders forcefully opposed it and forbid operation. This act of defiance towards the royal ruler was

Physical and Chemical Changes Essay

Physical and chemical changes lab essay
Changes in matter occur every day. There are two types of ways matter can be altered; physically and
chemically. Physical changes do not change the composition of the matter while chemical changes
occur when one or more substances turn into a completely new substance. Physical changes can be
seen through an altering of the substances physical property. A substances physical property is
observed and measured without changing the composition of the subject. Descriptive words that
would help to identify a substance s physical property include hard, soft, brittle, flexible, heavy, and
light just to name a few. When an object goes through a physical change it ... Show more content on

The relationship of reactants and products is shown by a chemical equation. An example of a chemical
change that one could come into contact with daily is rust. Air and iron are the reactants in this
situation while rust is the product. The chemical equation for this reaction would look roughly like
this, O+FE= OFE or rust. This is clearly a chemical change because you cannot reverse it meaning
you cannot take rust and pull out the iron to leave air or vise versa. All chemical changes are finite.
One other example of a chemical change is the burning of any substance. For example if one were to
burn a sheet of paper it would create ash. This chemical change is finite because you cannot change
ash back into paper. Another term to remember when considering changes chemical and physical is
the law of conservation of mass. This law simply means that matter can neither be created nor
destroyed. Two other terms that are important when describing the properties of substances
undergoing changes are extensive and intensive properties. An intensive property is a physical
property of a substance that does not depend upon its size such as viscosity. Extensive properties
however do depend on a substance s size such as mass and volume. A few more important terms to
keep in mind when doing a lab with chemical and physical changes are

In Disputing Some Of The Main Accusations And So-Called
In disputing some of the main accusations and so called evidence presented in the Blue Book, the
German Colonial Office argues that Germany s African protectorates were acquired by peaceful
means and were built upon by German enterprise and industry under a colonial policy of liberality
towards other nations. They claim that, since Great Britain declared willingness to recognize German
territory in African, the British cannot make the argument that South West Africa shouldn t have fallen
into German hands, since they initially supported it during the Berlin Conferences. Prior to the war,
there were multiple British and American sources that praise Germany s development efforts in Africa.
The White Book even claims, many eminent English ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If anything, they claim that German colonizers were merely following the example of the British, who
were much more experienced in the suppression and conquering of native populations. They
rhetorically demand that Britain recognize their own atrocities before accusing other powers, saying,
Physician, heal thyself!
The Treaty of Versailles
Due to the Allies victory and Great Britain s prominent position among the Allied powers, the
evidence and rhetoric from the 1918 Blue Book prevailed over the counterarguments presented in the
1919 German White Book, resulting Germany s forced renouncement of her overseas territory.
Overall, the Treaty of Versailles reassigned German boundaries and assigned liability for reparations.
The two main articles that concern the former German protectorates are Article 22, which concerns
their distribution, and Article 119, which describes the terms of the German colonies surrender. While
Article 119 provides more information concerning the general compliance of Germany, the decisions
made in Article 22 show the true influence that the British had on the Treaty s mandates and the
degree to which the Allied powers benefitted from Germany s colonial losses.

Growing up in an all LDS member family, the Book of Mormon has been apart of my life for as long

and pondering its message, there is always something that brings me back to reading it over and over

Pathway Of Igf-1 Pathway
The insulin/IGF 1 pathway which plays a major role in the control of lifespan and aging in animals
and humans includes a lot of genes if any gene transformed with single mutation the IGF 1 pathway
can increase lifespan and cause human longevity to remain active and youthful much longer than
normal. As in different species, yeast, nematodes and fruit flies there are genes homologous with
mammalian genes that control in IGF 1 pathway and mutation in any one of them may be affected on
lifespan (Tatar et al., 2003). In the study of model organisms, it was found that the IGF 1 pathway
consists of ligands, receptors, insulin receptor substrates, phosphoinositol 3 kinase (PI3K) system,
AKT kinases, and forkhead transcriptional factors.

These pathways are more complex than invertebrate. Mutations that in GH deficiency or in growth
hormone receptors cause decreased size, lower insulin levels, increased stress resistance and extend
lifespan (Bartke, 2008). Whereas GH is mediated through IGF 1 and effect on lifespan in these mice
may be mediated by this pathway. Heterozygous deletion mutations of the IGF 1 receptor (IGF1R)
gene causes a little reduction in size but a similar phenotype of improved stress resistance and
longevity in females only (Holzenberger et al., 2003). But in dogs, there is no evidence that IGF 1
signaling regulates lifespan because dog breeds have a strong inverse correlation with body size
(Patronek et al., 1997). Derangement of the insulin receptor (INSR) gene in most tissues leads to
insulin resistance and shortened lifespan in mice (Okamoto and Accili, 2003); but homozygous
deletion mutation in this gene specific to fat cells have the extended lifespan in both sexes (Bluher et
al., 2003). These results indicate that tissue specific effects are important for these pathways. Where a
knockout of the downstream signaling adapter protein (IRS1) also resulted in increased lifespan
(Selman et al., 2008).
There are several mechanisms demonstrated that the IGF 1 may affect aging with DAF 16/FOXO
which stimulates the transcription of heat shock protein genes that related to stress resistance (Murphy
et al., 2003). Moreover, FOXO3A gene can operate as a checkpoint on cell cycle

Socio Cultural Context
Socio Cultural context has been a part of human history for eons. Individuals implement this theory
daily through their language that is closely linked to their culture and time in society. The intersection
of social and cultural events has helped to inform many phenomena that people had in earlier years.
However, as with any national phenomena, there is a risk factor that is prevalent. This paper will delve
into what socio culture context is and a basic interpretation of risks, behavior risk, and sexual risk
taking.
Language is the lenses in which we view culture through our eyes. The term socio cultural context is
referring to the idea of language rather than what the social group does to implement their practice.
Though the term is linked to culture and that society, it s mainly about the language that is invented in
that culture. As a middle class African American woman, my socio cultural context stems from police
brutality and feminism that is present in my community.
Police Brutality has been around for a very long time and it s sad that it still goes on today. When an
African American family sends their child out to buy food or go shopping there is always a settle
conversation about the police. Conversations that stem from the risk of being around the police is
always to keep your identification in a reachable position, don t make any fast movements, and don t
do anything that would cause the officer to pull you over. In this time, our language is cemented on

In Ernest J. Gaines novel A Lesson Before Dying, a young African American, Jefferson, is caught in
the middle of a liquor shootout, and as the only survivor is convicted of murder and sentenced to
death. During Jefferson s trial, his attorney calls him a hog in an effort to persuade the jury that he
could not have possibly planned a crime like this. Having heard this, Jefferson s godmother, Miss
Emma, calls on the local school teacher, Grant Wiggins, to visit Jefferson in prison and help prove to
the community, more importantly the white people, that Jefferson is indeed a man, not a hog.

buying Jefferson a radio, Grant realizes that he has been too focused on what he wants, and decides
that contrary to what he believes he can help Jefferson, and the town he lives in (Gaines 180). Because
Grant has two equally compelling desires, although not compelling in the same way, to choose
between, the choice he does make is magnified because of the conflict within himself. This conflict
not only helps reflect on Grant s development as a character, but even more stresses the books theme
of assuming responsibility. Through Grant s actions it is easy to see he is not comfortable with his life.
He lives in a small, racially discriminated and prejudiced town, and is a college educated man treated
like a man who hasn t finished elementary school. Adding Jefferson s situation on top of all that, it is
easy to see how Grant desires to simply give up and run away with the love of his life, Vivian. But
Grant realizes that the issues at hand are bigger than just him; the way Jefferson dies will have a

The Hurricane
Bob Dylan s song, The Hurricane, brings to surface several of the themes covered in class this
semester. The song explores general themes like community and responsibility, while also focusing on
many of the sub themes, such as justice and injustice, appearance and reality, and loyalty and
abandonment. Throughout the song, the main characters constantly battle with the above themes in
attempt to frame an innocent man. While the song brings up many of these themes, Dylan s characters
show little consistency with the texts covered, as the texts tend to try to find reconciliation in the
characters, while Dylan s characters feel no remorse in their actions.

The song continues to venture into the theme of justice and injustice. Although all the evidence
supports the Hurricane s innocence, the community as a whole acts to ensure that injustice is served.

Compare Dove And Olay
An eye catching, elaborate advertisement holds an important aspect of a successful business.
Advertisement not only spreads the word to potential buyers; nevertheless persuades consumers to buy
their product. The simple formula to creating an effective advertisement has to do with the commercial
s originality. Using different elements to portray a product entices viewers and persuades them to
purchase the product being advertised. Companies use different approaches and elements to showcase
their product in hope that consumers buy the product. An example would be a company using a
celebrity as a spokesperson hoping that the fans base feels motivation to buy the product. Comparing
and contrasting commercials that promote the same product can be helpful for the consumer to pick
which product would be worth purchasing. The two soap companies, Dove and Olay, take different
routes to portray their products such as attention grabbing elements, the actress s involvement, and the
message the commercial sends. The company Olay takes a standard approach to appeal to consumers.
In Olay s commercial, repetitive vibrant colors and images are seen in the commercial. Large words
such as like and love are displayed continuously throughout the commercial. Olay uses the approach
of using appealing images and an upbeat song to persuade consumers to buy the soap. The upbeat

The Mindsets Can Cope With The Failure Of The Difference Way
The mindsets can cope with the failure in the difference way.
Have you ever been fail in your life? How do you face with that failure? And what did you say with
yourself in that moment? This question help you determine what is your mindset. So what is mindset?
It is a habitual or characteristic mental attitude that determined how you will interpret and respond to
situations. According to Carol Dweck s mindset book, people in the world was divided into two
mindsets: the fixed mindset and the growth mindset. Fixed mindset which is people think that the
intelligent, smart, high potential of learning is the natural ability. It has already in their body when
they was born and this abilities never change. You are smart or not that who you are. ... Show more

According to Carol Dweck s, the failure doesn t defined the growth mindset but it does with the fixed
mindset. With the growth mindset, the failure never define you it just the matter of how you faced
with, learn experience, and keep your mind moving forward. Taking an example of the famous former
American basketball, Micheal Jordan who was known led the Chicago Bull to six NBA
championships and won the most Valuable Player Award five times. He was refused to play basketball
team at high school because his height didn t match with the standard. His family didn t permitted him
to play basketball because he decided didn t study at school instead of basketball. But with the strong
love for basketball, he kept following and playing with his brother every time and every where. He
keep training him self everyday. One of his school coach said that: Usually, I arrive at school between
7am and 7:30 a.m. Micheal was there before me. Each time come in and open the door, I heard the
sound of bowing, in autumn, in winter, in summer. Almost every morning I had to ask him to leave the
court . Failure doesn t define him. It just motivated him more. He said that: I know that fear is an
obstacle for some people, but for me it just an illusion. Failure always makes me try harder on the next
opportunity. And he was known with the famous said which inspired so many people that: I ve missed
more than 9.000 shots in my career. I ve lost almost 300

Psychoanalysis Perspective Kate Chopin
Psychoanalysis is a form of therapy which aims to cure mental disorders by investigating the
interaction of conscious and unconscious elements in the mind (Comise Oxford Dictionary). It is
elaborated by Sigmund Freud (1856 1939). Psychoanalysis is a rather detailed and complicated theory
of personality and motivation of what makes people do what they do. It is also a type of therapy.
Simply put, psychoanalysis involves the exploration of a person s unconscious thought processes
through methods such as free association saying whatever comes to mind and dream analysis. It is
included ego, super ego, and id, Defense Mechanism, and Projection. Then for this analyzes I would
use ego, repression, and Projection.

The Great Pyramid Research Paper
At the time of the Old Kingdom, Egyptians would build pyramids as part of their civilization. These
pyramids were structures used by the ancient world for religious purposes, were tombs for the
mummified bodies of pharaohs, and a symbol of royal power ( The Pyramids of Egypt and Spielvogel

(Spielvogel 22). With that being said, over 130 pyramids have been discovered in Egypt ( Ancient

largest, oldest and most magnificent, the Great Pyramid, built under Snefru s son Khufu (Spielvogel

Disney Springs At Jock Lindsey
Yesterday evening we went over to Disney Springs for dinner at Jock Lindsey s, but first we wanted to
swing by the new Ganachery Chocolate Shoppe that had just opened a couple days before. We love
good chocolate, so we had high hopes for this newest addition to the list of high end foodie shops at
Walt Disney World. The Ganachery did not disappoint! For most people, unless you know of some
little artisan confectionery, the best chocolates you can get your hands on are Godiva. There is an
excitement and ritual to opening that gleaming golden box and breathing in that smell. Amplify the
smell, the taste, the creaminess by 10 fold; THEN you have the Ganachery chocolates!
You can find the shop kitty corner from Jock Lindsey s, just past the turn off for Raglan Road. When
we arrived there was only another couple in line ahead of us and we were allowed inside after only a
minute or two. They were limiting the number of people who could shop at one time because the
footprint of the floor is incredibly tiny. If I recall they only wanted 7 or 8 customers to be inside at one

The Dangers Of Freedom In The Film Under The Same Moon
Freedom is acquired through adversity. Adversity comes with fear. Many breakthroughs may they be

expected when making decisions that will alter the future. But despite this fear, breakthroughs are still
possible. Every day, people are pushing at the boundaries of life to expand general knowledge and to
build better lives for them and their children. Some may say that fear is a big enough threat to stop
freedom. However, I assert that fear accompanies freedom and every time freedom is established, no

There are some who argue that when a woman decides to dress in a way that shows off her skin, she is
asking for negative attention from men. This reason is why the locker room behavior of men is
borderline accepted in primarily American culture. When women are told that the way that they dress
puts themselves in danger with men, it shames females into thinking that their freedom to dress is less
important because they have to worry about how they are going to be treated. Though I concede that
there is no reason to show off inappropriate areas of the body publicly, I still insist that a woman
should be able to choose to wear what she wants without being afraid of the consequences. After all,
clothes are just clothes. My main point is that women shouldn t have to be afraid because their
freedom is more valuable than any man who would take advantage of them. Being safe in this
circumstance is purely outrageous when the fact that women can wear clothes however they want and
choose their freedom over the safety that is ensured by covering up. Another example that goes hand

The Health Of The Current U.s. Economy
Situation:
The health of the current U.S. economy appears to be growing gradually. The second quarter real GDP
growth was 3.7% and the unemployment rate declined to 5.3%. The U.S Federal Reserve (Fed) is
expected to raise interest rates in the near future when it sees clear signs of strong economic growth
and improvements in the job market.
The last time the Fed raised interest rates (to 5.25%) was in 2006. This move was soon reversed as the
8 trillion dollar housing market bust sparked the global financial crises. About 8.7 million jobs (about
6%) were lost, unemployment rose to about 10% nationally leaving many households with less to
spend and higher debt.
Given its mandate to maximize employment and maintain price stability, the Fed took monetary policy
actions in December 2008 to keep long term interest rates at near zero (between 0.0% and 0.25%) to
help stabilize and revive the U.S economy leaving no option for further interest rate reduction.
The U.S has a hybrid economy and is considered a large market economy, where there is no central
authority directing people what to produce or where to ship it. So, what are the implications and likely
economic consequences of an interest rate hike using the IS LM model in a closed economy and a
basic market for loanable funds?
Closed economy IS LM analysis: The IS LM model focuses on the equilibrium of the goods market
and the money market. In other words, it shows the relationship between real output and interest rates.

Behavior Change Theory Selected And Reason For Selecting
A. Topic Selection: Obesity B. Theory Behavior Change Theory Selected and Reason for Selecting
The Social Cognitive Theory is learning by observing and interacting with others. This works perfect
for my case study because children mimic what they see other children do. They also watch their older
influences and do as them. I will use this theory by setting up programs for the children along with
their families. This is targeting the obesity problem in 8 to 14 year old. I plan on implementing
programs for children s physical activity and healthy food choices. Compare and/or contrast two other
theories Theory #1 Social Network Theory The Social Theory Network has to do with people s
relationships to one another. Having a healthy social network would have a positive effect on the
people in it. My case study has to do with children who do not belong to social networks like older
individuals would. Their parents probably have a stable social network build through the years, so
their children are born into their networks until they are old enough to form their own. The Social
Network Theory and the Social Cognitive Theory both are interpersonal theories. They are influenced
by the people around them. Change occurs when behavior that is desired is reinforced. Theory #2

communities. Scientists believe that the studying of Kennewick Man is crucial to understanding the
earliest of human history on the American continent, as he provides a rare opportunity to look at well
preserved, mostly intact, ancient American remains. They feel that repatriation should not occur until
they are able to study the skeleton enough to identify which cultural group he belongs to. Native

NAGPRA promises Native groups that remains would be returned to them if the remains were
associated with their group, however Kennewick man does not necessarily belong to any specific
group at this point in time. There are two perspectives to this dilemma: the Native perspective valuing
the sacredness of the remains, and the scientific perspective valuing the eagerness to study the remains
(Lee, 2008). Stories written by Donald Sampson and Rechanda Lee give insight on the Native
perspective arguing that science is degrading Native American identity and disrespecting the culture
and religion (Lee, 2008). They do not like that the graves of their ancestors are disturbed and dissected
to be studied (Sampson, 2008). Traditional histories are important to Native American communities as
it provides identity and lineage linked to their respected communities. Natives feel that a group of
scientists should not be telling them what their history is as they have faith in what is passed down to
them orally (Lee, 2008). Many Natives feel as if scientists need to show respect and let the Native
communities be heard. (Lee, 2008). Scientists, however, are addressing Principle No.2 of the
Principles of Archaeological Ethics as identifying the remains and associating them to a certain group
determines who the remains actually belong to. Both Lee and Sampson argue that using the cranial
morphology of Kennewick man to determine his race is the result of irrationality and imagination.
Both of the passages that they wrote claim to be addressing the scientific aspect of Kennewick man,
however they seem to be writing with a strong emotional language rather than scientific. In Sampson s

rather than the scientific evidence provided. The only scientific evidence that was addressed in these

Andrew Jackson Bibliography
Internet Bibliography I chose Andrew Jackson as my topic for my internet bibliography. I chose this
topic because I ve heard some intriguing facts about Andrew Jackson before, and I wanted to learn the
details of them. Also, I wanted to learn more about our 7th President. I ve always heard that he was an
avid duelist, and that Andrew Jackson used his own cane to beat a man, who tried to assassinate him. I
wanted to know the details about both of these events, so I decided to dig deeper into Andrew Jackson
s life. My first site that I used for my internet bibliography was on the external links. I decided to use
the The Hermitage: Andrew Jackson link as my starting point. The layout and organization of this site
was phenomenal. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After some slight scrolling, I came across the headline Andrew Jackson: A lunatic that became
President. Without any delay, I clicked on the link to the site and was brought to a green webpage. At
my first glance, I noticed the site had a cluttered feeling to me. The ads on the top of the page and
along the right side were annoying at times, when scrolling on the site. I did find the photo shopped
bottles of Jack Daniels, that were in Jackson s hands in each photo hysterical. I found myself unable to
keep a straight face as I read the author s spin on Andrew Jackson s life. Some of the information was
facts I ve read other places, but other information was hard to separate between fact and fiction. Hands

for a good ten minutes. I m ecstatic that I came across this website, but I wouldn t say this is the best
site from which to retrieve information. Although, it was well worth the

Muscular Dystrophy And Its Effects On The Body
Muscular dystrophy is a group of diseases that cause an abnormal progressive deteriorating of the
muscles, leading to muscle weakness. Many different types of dystrophy are known, characterized by
the muscle groups affected. The disease is caused from a genetic mutation that prevents a protein
essential for normal muscle activity from being made, or being produced correctly. In each type of
muscular dystrophy, a different protein is irregular (Emery, 2008). Furthermore, because this disease is
due to a genetic mutation, there is no cure to fix the mutation. Therefore treatment is used to attend to
the problems caused by the dystrophy and treatment strives to create a pleasant life for the patient.
According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, treatment methods include
multiple types of therapy, including respiratory, physical, speech, drug, and occupational, as well as
surgery (NINDS, 2011). Hydrotherapy, a type of physical therapy in water and its effects on muscular
dystrophy patients will be focused on in the succeeding study.
BACKGROUND:
The most common muscular dystrophy is Duchenne dystrophy (Emery 2008). Due to a genetic defect
only on the X chromosome, this disease is present primarily in males. The University of California
Los Angeles found the occurrence at 1 out of every 5000 males in countries that provide genetic
counseling (UCLA). The protein discovered that is absent is dystrophin, a protein essential in the
membrane of muscle

Alvar Nunez Cabeza de Vaca and Garcia Lopez de Cardenas were two Europeans who traveled great distances in hopes of discovering something new. Throughout their journeys, both men wrote down the problems and discoveries they made. With the passages from their journal one can compare and contrast their expeditions. In the upcoming paragraphs one will learn the similarities and differences between the two men during their expeditions. Vaca and Cardenas were both Europeans who held positions of high status in the Spanish army. During their expeditions, both men interacted with Native American groups that were able to assist them along their travels. Even with the help of the Indians, their journeys were still difficult and long. The reason for this is because of geographical and weather conditions. Furthermore, the scarcity of food and water also affected the length of the journey and those who were traveling. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Thomas Paine, The American Crisis The continuing encouragement and support of passages like this that the Continental Army received, motivated them to keep fighting and pull through the war. It was one of the most important reasons the colonists were victorious in the end. Furthermore, there was also great leadership. Although the Continental Army had a shortage of supplies and a weakly trained army, they certainly didn t lack a strong military leadership. This leadership was provided by George Washington. Though he s known much better as a president, he was also a brilliant military leader (Ayers et al., 2007). • 6. The Timeless Quality of the Foundations of Excellent... Foundations of Excellent Leadership Are Timeless Introduction It is often said that a manager is what one does and leader is who one is. This is especially the case during times of turbulent economic, social and political change. In the debate of whether the effectiveness of a leader s communication skills is dependent on their age or generation, one must take into account one of the most critical skills in any leaders skill set, and that is emotional intelligence (EI) (Avolio, Yammarino, 2002). Great leadership is timeless as it is predicated on respect and motivation of subordinates and peers and subordinates, along with a very clear focus on results attained through shared vision. It is the intent of this analysis to show that transformational leadership is timeliness because it is predicated on principles applicable to each generation. The impact of technology on leadership is to accelerate transparency and trust across entire organizations when transformational leaders are driving progress to shared goals and objectives (Bernoff, Li, 2008). Technology will amplify excellent leadership and shine a very bright light on mediocre and inferior leadership over time (Gilley, Dixon, Gilley, 2008). The Intolerable Acts were the cause for the American War for Independence because the colonists felt they were being controlled with the implement of vigorous policies in the American colonies. The Boston Port Act, Massachusetts Government Act, the Act for the Impartial Administration of Justice, the Quebec Act, and the Quartering Act were all passed as a retaliation to the Boston Tea Party and gave colonists the right to react. The Boston Port Act angered the colonists the most, the Act closed the Boston harbor to all shipping until the town had compensated the Dutch East India Company for the destruction of its tea and assured the King of it s future loyalty. It prohibited ships from docking in Boston, those ships caught docking were confiscated along with all cargo. An example of a chemical change that one could come into contact with daily is rust. Air and iron are the reactants in this situation while rust is the product. The chemical equation for this reaction would look roughly like this, O+FE= OFE or rust. This is clearly a chemical change because you cannot reverse it meaning you cannot take rust and pull out the iron to leave air or vise versa. All chemical changes are finite. One other example of a chemical change is the burning of any substance. For example if one were to burn a sheet of paper it would create ash. This chemical change is finite because you cannot change ash back into paper. Another term to remember when considering changes chemical and physical is the law of conservation of mass. This law simply means that matter can neither be created nor destroyed. Two other terms that are important when describing the properties of substances undergoing changes are extensive and intensive properties. An intensive property is a physical property of a substance that does not depend upon its size such as viscosity. Extensive properties however do depend on a substance s size such as mass and volume. As in different species, yeast, nematodes and fruit flies there are genes homologous with mammalian genes that control in IGF 1 pathway and mutation in any one of them may be affected on lifespan (Tatar et al., 2003). Mutations that in GH deficiency or in growth hormone receptors cause decreased size, lower insulin levels, increased stress resistance and extend lifespan (Bartke, 2008). Whereas GH is mediated through IGF 1 and effect on lifespan in these mice may be mediated by this pathway. Heterozygous deletion mutations of the IGF 1 receptor (IGF1R) gene causes a little reduction in size but a similar phenotype of improved stress resistance and longevity in females only (Holzenberger et al., 2003). But in dogs, there is no evidence that IGF 1 signaling regulates lifespan because dog breeds have a strong inverse correlation with body size (Patronek et al., 1997). Derangement of the insulin receptor (INSR) gene in most tissues leads to insulin resistance and shortened lifespan in mice (Okamoto and Accili, 2003); but homozygous deletion mutation in this gene specific to fat cells have the extended lifespan in both sexes (Bluher et al., 2003). These results indicate that tissue specific effects are important for these pathways. Where a knockout of the downstream signaling adapter protein (IRS1) also resulted in increased lifespan (Selman et al., 2008). This reason is why the locker room behavior of men is borderline accepted in primarily American culture. When women are told that the way that they dress puts themselves in danger with men, it shames females into thinking that their freedom to dress is less important because they have to worry about how they are going to be treated. Though I concede that there is no reason to show off inappropriate areas of the body publicly, I still insist that a woman should be able to choose to wear what she wants without being afraid of the consequences. After all, clothes are just clothes. My main point is that women shouldn t have to be afraid because their freedom is more valuable than any man who would take advantage of them. Being safe in this circumstance is purely outrageous when the fact that women can wear clothes however they want and choose their freedom over the safety that is ensured by covering up. • 34. The Health Of The Current U.s. Economy Situation: The health of the current U.S. economy appears to be growing gradually. The second quarter real GDP growth was 3.7% and the unemployment rate declined to 5.3%. The U.S Federal Reserve (Fed) is expected to raise interest rates in the near future when it sees clear signs of strong economic growth and improvements in the job market. The last time the Fed raised interest rates (to 5.25%) was in 2006. This move was soon reversed as the 8 trillion dollar housing market bust sparked the global financial crises. About 8.7 million jobs (about 6%) were lost, unemployment rose to about 10% nationally leaving many households with less to spend and higher debt. Given its mandate to maximize employment and maintain price stability, the Fed took monetary policy actions in December 2008 to keep long term interest rates at near zero (between 0.0% and 0.25%) to help stabilize and revive the U.S economy leaving no option for further interest rate reduction. The U.S has a hybrid economy and is considered a large market economy, where there is no central authority directing people what to produce or where to ship it. So, what are the implications and likely economic consequences of an interest rate hike using the IS LM model in a closed economy and a basic market for loanable funds? I will use this theory by setting up programs for the children along with their families. This is targeting the obesity problem in 8 to 14 year old. Their parents probably have a stable social network build through the years, so their children are born into their networks until they are old enough to form their own. The Social Network Theory and the Social Cognitive Theory both are interpersonal theories. They are influenced by the people around them. Change occurs when behavior that is desired is reinforced. NAGPRA promises Native groups that remains would be returned to them if the remains were associated with their group, however Kennewick man does not necessarily belong to any specific group at this point in time. There are two perspectives to this dilemma: the Native perspective valuing the sacredness of the remains, and the scientific perspective valuing the eagerness to study the remains (Lee, 2008). Stories written by Donald Sampson and Rechanda Lee give insight on the Native perspective arguing that science is degrading Native American identity and disrespecting the culture and religion (Lee, 2008). They do not like that the graves of their ancestors are disturbed and dissected to be studied (Sampson, 2008). Traditional histories are important to Native American communities as it provides identity and lineage linked to their respected communities. Natives feel that a group of scientists should not be telling them what their history is as they have faith in what is passed down to them orally (Lee, 2008). Many Natives feel as if scientists need to show respect and let the Native communities be heard. (Lee, 2008). Many different types of dystrophy are known, characterized by the muscle groups affected. The disease is caused from a genetic mutation that prevents a protein essential for normal muscle activity from being made, or being produced correctly. In each type of muscular dystrophy, a different protein is irregular (Emery, 2008). Furthermore, because this disease is due to a genetic mutation, there is no cure to fix the mutation.
