Ed
● As Ed is the love interest we have carefully chosen to use a white tee to show he is going to
change/'lighten' up her world and end her disaster of bad dates
● As Ed will be sitting at the computer screen, you won't actually see what he is wearing on the
bottom half, however he would be wearing stylish jeans and converse
Brad
● As Brad isn't a nice date, the black tee is used as black connotes to darkness and evil
● The use of skinny jeans is to show Brad is your stereotypical 'cool' guy who is update with the latest trends
● The Black airmaxes are associated with 'chavs', 'chavs' are stereotypically quite loud and careless. As he
checks out another girl, this comes across as him being quite careless towards her emotions.
Charlie
● The tracksuit bottoms are to emphasis he is a slob, as tracksuit bottoms are
stereotypically quite a slobby thing to wear
● The green t-shirt symbolises his impoliteness as green is sometimes
associated with unhygeninic mannerism
● The messy hair also emphasises he doesn't care about his appearance
Chloe
● Chloe wears a lot of makeup to show she is the stereotypical feminine woman who is more of an object
to men rather than a person. This is to contrast with Lucy who is counter typical to this
● The short dress is to also create this idea she is an object for men – something to look at – rather than
speak to which is a stereotype people often have
● The black heels also emphasis this idea that she is the stereotypical woman who wears these feminine
clothes to please the men
● Stereotypically 'blondes' are associated to be more attractive which is why we have carefully chosen to
chose our actor to be blonde to create this idea even though it necessarily may not be true
Blake
● Blake is a stereotypical 'goth'
● We've chosen to use all black items to emphasis he is a Goth
● We've carefully chosen which makeup to use to also emphasis he
is a goth
