2. Name: Hollow
This is because I want the connotations of the
magazine to be a space in the magazine that is
filled with music information and news. It shows
that the magazine is has a significance and
value, its the complete opposite of the real
definition. Also it is different to other magazines,
it’s a unique name that nobody has used before.
3. Price: £2.50
My audience voted that the price of the
magazine should £2.50 as its something that
they will be able to afford, they don't have to
struggle paying for it as I want this to be a
monthly magazine. Overall I will get more
people reading if its under the average price,
also if relatives have extra change they will also
be able to buy it for the youngers.
4. Positioning Statement.
For 16-25 year olds the Hollow magazine is the
benchmark among all other magazines such as
'Q' and 'The Rolling Stones’ because it is a
unique design. It is also different because of the
masthead, as it has its own original design
within the font.
5. Distribution
My magazine will be sold in supermarkets such
as Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrisons. They
will be sold in corner shops to such as Nisa and
The Co-operative. These are very popular and
well-known retail stores where I know it will be
successfully sold
6. Frequency of Publication
This magazine will be sold every month
as people like to spend out their time when
reading as they may work or be a student.
People wouldn't be able to afford it if it was
every week.
7. Rationale
My aim is to make it a worldwide magazine, and
it for developed over time. I aim to have the
biggest/newest trending artists being featured
in my magazine to machete more popular and
successful.
8. Style/Layout/Colour
The style of my models will be trendy however
a rustic look to in-print of the genre onto the
magazine so its more clear, it will overall be very
dark on the cover and much lighter inside.
The layout of my magazine will be neat and tidy,
making it more simplistic. there will be a range of
images position on the contents page and only one
image as the central image on the front, and in the
double page spread there will be one picture on the
left hand side of the page, the right side will be
the article. The colour’s featured in this magazine
will be reds/whites/blacks and maroon shades.
9. Regular Content
Tour dates and reviews on music and gigs will be
regularly put into the magazine, i will include
new artist that are trying to get into the music
industry to boost their popularity. Also i will
include a question and answer section for the
reader if they want to know more.
10. Featured Content
Sometimes there will tending popular artist
articles that are from the alternative genre, i
will have an article about whatever is
happening recently in their lives that is trending
in the media.
