It will include insights on music legends in each genre and focus on artists like Rihanna, Shakira, and Kanye West who embody power in the evolving music industry. For the main part of the AS media coursework criteria, we are told to
produce a music magazine of which contains: a front cover, contents page
and a double page spread. For this task i have preferred to work individually
and have chosen to name the magazine ‘TEMPO’. I have chosen this name to
suit what he main theme of the magazine is about and that is to reflect the
speed at which the music industry developing. Also that It is closely related
to the genre of music. My chosen musical genres for this project vary from
Pop, Hip hop, R&B and a small insight on Rock. This magazine will include
insights on music legends within in each genre of music I have chosen to put
in the magazine.

3. Extra insight of ‘TEMPO’
I have chosen to bases the magazine on artists how are at the embodiment
of power in the music industry such as Rihannah, Shakira and Kanye West;
which help cover the basis of the magazine being mainly about the vast
development of the music industry. The thing that will make my magazine
different and unique from others is the fact that firstly my magazine is based
on more then 2 musical genres. Secondly because my magazine will not only
cover the development of the music industry, but will contain details
updates on latest albums, singles and gossip of the few chose artists.

4. Marketing
The people that may publish my magazine will be a publishing company like
Bauer Media as they have published magazines like Q and KERRANG! which
are related to the type of music magazine I’m going to produce. Also Bauer
Media offers a gap in the market (niche audience) for me to publish the
magazine as the ground of media outlets are mainly aim on the older
generation. The target audience I would like to aim my magazine at are
people from the age of 13-25. As the genres I have chosen are dominant in
the charts, which appeal to young people.
