Media Evaluation Question 4:
Who would be your audience
for your media product?
Oscar Rataj
Audience
• The audience for my magazine would be primarily British,
seeing that the magazine is a British magazine that would
make sense.
• The age range for my audience would be 16-30 with some
outliers either side of the range, this is why the swearing in
the magazine have been censored, to protect the younger
audiences.
Reader Profile
• My reader profile is representative of the new magazine, not
the old. I did have a reader profile for the older one, but it
seems to have gotten lost in the amount of documents I have
saved.
• This reader profile is rather basic but you can still get the
picture; the audience will be the younger generations, the ones
that understand social media, most of them can drive and about
half that can drive have some sort of vehicle.
• I have said that 60% of my audience are male because it has
been found that white and black populations are the two
ethnicities who enjoy rap the most, but it has also been found
that of those who enjoy rap the black community enjoy the
Grime end of the rap spectrum, and my magazine probably
couldn’t get any less like a Grime magazine.
Reader Profile
• My old reader profile had been for my older version of my magazine,
this magazine was focussing more on the Americans, and the reader
profile had pictures of American Football stars and the map of the
USA on it. Very predominantly showing that the magazine was aimed
for the Americans.
• Some of the points from the first reader profile were carried onto the
second; the primary phone by the audience is the iPhone, most of the
audience can drive, most are white, most are male.
