Who would be the audience for your media product?
Age: 15-30. They are people who already listen to the genre of music that my magazine is
designed off of.
Gender: both male and female. Both men and woman are likely to listen to this type of
music however, the magazine is not going to have anything such as pink text as that does
not attract the type of females that the magazine is aimed at.
Location: as it is a British magazine, its location will mainly be focused on the UK but have
ever closer links to London as that is where it began and its original fan base can be found.
Interests: the people who this magazine is aimed at will have interests in the rock genre.
Many may want specific posters for bands that they love and listen on repeat. In addition,
some people will want to know who the latest artists are on the charts or some information
about how the albums were made so I have made sure that there is enough information in
my magazine to appeal to everyone who reads it.
Education: people who will buy my magazine will generally have a good education and may
be in higher education such as 6th form or uni as they would want something to read in their
free time.
Psychographics: the psychographics of my magazine will be mostly aimed at individualists as
they tend to want to stand out and do not want to go “with the flow” of others as they see
that as boring and stale.
Social class: people who read my magazine will typically be part of the middle class and as
many of them may be in uni or college, they may be aiming for high paid jobs however, a
small amount of them will have jobs due to the young target age of my audience.
