Target Audience Profile
Age
The age range that will most appeal to this film
will be those around 15-18 because anybody
who falls below this age range may find this
film scary and intimidating. And anybody who
is older, say 30+, and stereotypically more
mature, may see this film as unrealistic and not
scary.
Gender
This film will be good for both male and female
audiences as the film does not deviate towards
male or female stereotypes. However, males
will take more of an interest as
stereotypically, men take more of an interest in
to horror movies and violence. Our film
consists of both female and male actors
therefore the film will put the audience in their
position.
Interests
When making our film, it was extremely
important that we thought about the interests
of our audience. We did not want to alienate
our target audience with unrealistic movie
conventions such as monsters and ghosts as
we felt our target audience was to mature for
that. Therefore we decided to make it more
realistic, by telling a story that could occur in
reality, in an attempt to make the overall tone
of the film scarier.
