Targeting 15-40 Males with Action Thriller The Big Score
1. The Big Score
Our Audience
Our audience are 15-40 year olds who are
interested in watching action packed, nail
biting thriller movies. Our film mostly
appeals to males as all the main
characters are male and it is filled with
weapons, violence, and bad language. It
can also appeal to women who are also
interested in the above. The reasons for
having a 15-40 year old audience because
most people under the age of 15 will not
be mature enough to understand whatis
happening in the film. All ages in-between
15 and 40 are old enough to understand
what is happening in the film and follow
the storylineall the way through. Also as
our film will include weapons, violence
and bad language, we have given it an age
rating of 15 years old. We thought this
was a fair age as the swearing and
violence will not be suitable for anybody
under the age of 15.
Appealing to Our Audience
We are going to appeal to our typically
male audience of 15-40 years through our
storyline, props and characters. The
storylineis going to be quite in depth
meaning that the audience will have to
follow carefully but not too complicated
so they will become confused to what is
going on. We will make our story have
action in it (e.g. guns) so the audience
know whatthey are in for throughoutthe
whole film. For our props, we haveused
weapons to appeal as weapons area key
to any successfulthriller movie. We are
also going to useprops that suit each
character (e.g. laptop case for hacker)
which appeals to our audience as it shows
thought has gone into each character.
Finally, the choice of characters appeals
to our target audience as you have 5
perfect movie characters into one movie.
This shows theaudience that they are
going to be great team when they work
together as they haveevery aspect
covered. (leader, gunman, hacker,
gambler, body builder) The rangeof
characters mean the audience get to
make relationships with more than one
character and like certain ones more than
others.
