2. Audience Profile
Our two minute opening sequence for our film Alone is the horror genre, due to this our
target audience will need to be relatively specific. More than anything our target
audience must 1st enjoy the genre that that is horror to enjoy our film, as a group we
decided that our target audience would be mostly teenagers and young adults as is does
not include any gore so would not exclude the teenage age range. But at the same time
a younger audience may find it difficult to grasp the concept of the film. Taking this into
account we decided that anyone above 15 and below 30 would enjoy this film the most.
We discussed that anyone older than 30 may find the film boring and not enjoy it as
much because they would most likely prefer something with a little more of a jumpy
effect. Research shows that males prefer horror films much more than the female
audience so for this reason we made the decision that the males with the interest of
horror aged 60 – 30 would be our target audience
