WHO WOULD BE THE AUDIENCE
FOR YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT?
THE DECISION
• I decided that the target audience would be aged
between 15 to 35 year olds.
• However my film may not be suitable for whoever is
younger than 15, as the story line involves zombies and
killings. Also children may not enjoy the zombie storyline
and most likely will not be okay with lots of people being
eaten, and they may struggle to follow the plot. Also the
in the first 30 seconds many zombies get shot and this
may be harmful for children to watch. Also this can
affect the audience mentally so it is best under 15s do
not watch my film. This film is similar to Zombie Land and
that film was rated 15.
THE DECISION
• However the actors who play the
characters in my film are fairly
young, my film may not appeal to
people who are over 35. Therefore the
audience prefer to watch a film that
contains characters that are the same
age (or older), so that they can relate
to them.
THE DECISION
• Furthermore I think that my film will
appeal to a variety of teenagers in a
variety of ways. A mainly male cast
clearly appeals to a male audience
and they can relate to the character
by building up a personal male
connection, and also including a
female into the main cast will attract
the female audience to watch the film
as well.
