Students will apply word order knowledge to decode English content
area text
Students will decode the meaning of grade level content area specific
words and will read grade level content area text with 90% accuracy.
ELP Standard- ELP Standard: ELL Level V Reading Standard 2: " The
student will identify and manipulate the sounds of the English
language and decode words , using knowledge of phonics,
syllabication and word parts" (Arizona Department of Education,
2018).
READING LANGUAGE OBJECTIVE
Students will decode
written words including
contractions and prefixes,
through the use of word
order knowledge and will
show phonemic
awareness through
reading of high frequency
words.
WRITING CONTENT OBJECTIVE
Student will be able to write multiple detailed paragraphs in various
writing applications. Including introduction, body paragraphs, and
conclusion.
ELP Standard: ELP Standard: ELL Stage V Writing Standard 2: "The
student will identify and apply conventions of standard English in his
or her communications" ( Arizona Department of Education, 2018).
WRITING LANGUAGE OBJECTIVE
Students will use correct
capitalization,
punctuation,
subject/verb agreement
and verb tense in all
forms of writing.

  • 7. WRITING CONTENT OBJECTIVE Student will be able to write multiple detailed paragraphs in various writing applications. Including introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. ELP Standard: ELP Standard: ELL Stage V Writing Standard 2: "The student will identify and apply conventions of standard English in his or her communications" ( Arizona Department of Education, 2018).
