This document provides information about an academic writing module. It aims to help students develop their English skills, including grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening, speaking and writing. 2. Students will develop productive (speaking and writing) and receptive skills
(reading and listening) to enhance their skills competence in a UK HE setting.
Grammar consolidation and vocabulary extension appropriate for
progression to B2 (CEFR) level is also included to enhance accuracy. An
introduction to academic conventions will also feature as the module aims to
encourage students to participate actively in a UK HE environment. Students
will also be encouraged to become independent language learners.

On successful completion of this module a student will be able to:
