2. What is a Digipak?
• Digipaks usually consist of a gatefold (book-style) paperboard or card stock outer
binding, with one or more plastic trays capable of holding a CD or DVD attached to
the inside.
• “Digipak” is the registered trademark for AGI media.
• DVD digipaks were one of the first alternatives to standard jewel cases and
became used by the major record companies.
• Digipaks are a great way of promoting an artist’s single or Album, it is also a great
way of promoting concerts and tours that the artist may have.
3. Codes and Conventions
Photography or Artwork:
• This can be of the artist or something that represents the artist or the single.
• The record company logo will also be present on the digipak.
• The classification will also have to be displayed so that the audience know
whether it is suitable for them.This may include an explicit warning.

• Track listing
• Credits to those involved in the production of the CD.
• A web address which is related to the Artist or band.
