digipak?
• A digipak is a patented style of DVD or CD packaging.
• They normally have a gatefold like a book
• The outer packaging is made of card/paper and the inner
packaging is made of plastic
• Became popular in the 2000s
3. Folding
• Digipaks are designed to fold into a square CD case. They can fold
many different ways and can have different amounts of panels.
• The front panels are the main ‘promoters’ of the CD and aim to draw
in the customers.
• Inside of the digipak is used for information and extra bits to do with
the artist/album.
• Inside panels tend to be more subtle than the
outside panels
4. The front
• The front of digipaks tend to have a large eye-catching picture on
them.
• The picture illustrated on the from panels tend to either be the album
cover or if it’s a single, something related to the songs or artist that is
eye catching.
• Song/album title found on the front most of
the time.
