A digipak is a form of packaging for CD’s and
DVD’s. They are usually made form plastic and
cardboard, with the internal plastic compartment
containing the discs.
In the modern world of technology, digipaks are a
common and popular method of PROMOTING
and increasing POPULARITY of an aritst.
3. Inside/Outside of a DigiPak
The Inside of a digi-pak usually contains:
Lyrics, Disc, Images of the artist/band, Personal
message from the artist/band.
The back of the digi-pak has a list of the songs
contained in the album/single and barcode.
4. The artwork displayed in a digipak depends on
the artists genre and personal tastes. If JLS, a
band signed to a major label, were to release a
digipak it’s likely that there would be images of
the band members and an emphasise on the
portrayal of the members. However if a less
maintream independent label band were to
release a digipak, theres might include more
conceptual and “weird and wonderful” images.

It allows the artist/band the freedom to express
their individuality
Helps them represent their GENRE
Emphasises brand image thus increasing
popularity
Digipaks also help to explore the artist/bands
