Daniel Hyde
Audience Profile
• Primary Audience
– The primary audience is
12-14 as the base rating
is 12A.
• Secondary Audience
– 25-44 because it would
be nostalgic to those
who have watched the
previous films and
consumed the comic
book franchise.
Audience Profile
• Primary Audience
– 0-14 because it is a
childish kind of film
because of the narrative
and bright colours.
• Secondary Audience
– People who frequently
watch the producers
films as the director has
a large fan following.
Audience Profile
• Primary Audience
– 0-14 as it has an
imaginary friend and
because its character is in
the age range as well as
the narrative being overly
simplistic.
• Secondary Audience
– Parents of the children
who watch the film.
Hypodermic Needle
• Definition
– It is where the audience immediately believes
what they are told by a reputable media source.
• Example
– Something being said by BBC will be taken more
seriously and as fact so if there is fake news
reported on that channel people would believe it
because they are trusted for factual reporting.
Uses and Gratifications Information
• Information- Use of websites to find info for
example using BBC to find out the news
Uses and Gratifications Personal
Identity
• To personally identify with celebrities such as
gamers I would subscribe to their youtube
channel to stay up to date with their life
events
Uses and Gratifications Integration and
Social Interaction
• To interact with others I would talk to them
through headsets using online gaming
Uses and Gratifications Entertainment
• For entertainment I enjoy playing video games
and watch youtube videos
Consumer Generated Content
• Example
– Youtube video
• What are the advantages to media producers?
– More people are brought to the website
• Why would the audience generate content?
– To become popular and get sponsored through
advertisment
