Bassinger radio final plans
1. Bassinger Radio Final Plans
Station
This show will be broadcasted by the BBC, which is known to be one of the UK’s
biggest entertainment companies and is an easily recognisable company, so for
my show to have ties with them instantly puts us as a credible product. What this
also means for the show is that all funding is sorted due to TV licencing, so that
means no sponsors are required for the show and this allows the show to be ad-
free. This is why I decided that the show would consist of a lot of music track
based parts to it.
Target Audience
I have come to the conclusion that my show will have a target audience of people
aged 12-18 and they can be both male and female since we are a mainstream
show. They will be from a Social Class (E) this is due to the audience being very
young so they wont be able to spend money towards the show, so most of the
things will be free. My Target audience is possible to measure because we are part
of the BBC's morning radio slot, which manly caters to a young and enthusiastic
audience. So with that being said we can back this process due to the simple fact
that those that listen are usually commuting to school or maybe work. This
generation is also much more accessible as they are more digitally advanced and
have multiple platforms where they can listen to Bassinger Radio.
Content
Running Time – 6am – 9am (Breakfast show)
Bassinger Radio provides a highly energetic experience for the listener playing
all the week’s top tracks. The show has a charismatic host who will make the
experience both entertaining and intriguing for the audience. The radio will
feature two interview segments, newsroom and gossip and tracks in-between
segments. We are an ad free station, but we do shout out our sponsor’s in-
between song transitions (BBC).
