LSC FOOTBALL IN THE POSTSEASON
Midwestern State and Texas A&M-Commerce were selected to represent the Lone Star Conference in the 2017 NCAA
Division II Football Championship. The Mustangs earned the No. 3 seed in Super Region Four, while the Lions are the
fifth seed.
On Saturday, Nov. 18, MSU will host No. 6 Sioux Falls in Wichita Falls, Texas, while A&M-C plays at No. 4 Winona
State in Winona, Minnesota. Both games will kick off at 1 p.m. CT.
Additionally, Tarleton State will face Central Oklahoma in the Corsicana Bowl on Saturday, December 2 in Corsicana,
Texas. Kickoff is at 12 p.m.
LSC FOOTBALL
Midwestern State won its fourth Lone Star Conference Championship with a perfect 8-0 league record.
LSC football teams are 51-43 overall this season. The squads are 5-3 combined versus the Rocky Mountain Athletic
Conference, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and Great Northwest Athletic Conference teams, which
are also in NCAA Super Regional Four.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSIVE
Layton Rabb, Midwestern State University, JR, QB, Llano, Texas, Llano HS
Rabb tied a school record with six touchdown passes while throwing for 393 yards to lead No. 4-ranked Midwestern
State to a 56-43 win over No. 20 Eastern New Mexico Saturday night Greyhound Stadium. The win clinched MSU's
fourth Lone Star Conference championship and first outright league title since 2011. The Llano native completed 29-of-
47 passes with a pair of touchdown strikes to Xavier Land, Brandon Sampson and Jerryl Yarbrough. The six passing
touchdowns matches the most in NCAA Division II this season. It was the fourth-best passing game in school history
coming on the heels of last week's 433-yard effort against Tarleton State. Rabb boasts four 300-yard performances this
season amassing 2,610 yard with 26 touchdowns to only four interceptions.
DEFENSIVE
Kieston Carter, Texas A&M University-Commerce, SR, DE, Mexia, Texas, Mexia HS
Carter was key for the Lions' defense as they wrapped up their 9-1 season with a 33-21 win over Tarleton. He had five
tackles with two important tackles for loss and forced a fumble to lead an opportunistic Lion defensive effort, which
limited Tarleton to 272 yards.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Kristov Martinez, Texas A&M University-Commerce, JR, K, Edinburg, Texas, Edinburg HS
Martinez scored 15 points in the No. 8 Lions' 33-21 over Tarleton, becoming the school's all-time leader in scoring in the
process. He made field goals of 24, 39, 42, and 35 yards in the game. His four field goals in a game ties an A&M-
Commerce record. He now has 289 points, breaking a school record that has stood since 1993. His 160 career PATs is a
school record and he ranks second in school history with 43 career field goals. The four field goals in a game is the
second most in NCAA Division II this season.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Buck WIlson, Texas A&M University-Commerce, was the primary target of a potent Lion passing attack as the No. 8
team in the nation wrapped up a playoff berth with a 33-21 win over Tarleton State. Wilson caught 7 passes for a career-
high 193 yards and a 61-yard touchdown. He was the key recipient of Luis Perez, who completed 34-of-50 passes for 482
yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions.
Kamal Cass, Eastern New Mexico University, rushed for a career-best and Lone Star Conference season-high 276
yards and scored three touchdowns against fourth-ranked Midwestern State on Saturday evening. The performance
gives him an ENMU record 4,301 yards for his career, eclipsing the record of 4,202 set by Tom Manley in 1976. Cass
carried the ball on ENMU's first five plays from scrimmage and accumulated 73 yards on that drive alone. On a career-
high 38 carries, the senior fullback averaged an incredible 7.3 yards.
Josh Stevens, Angelo State University, led the Rams in an offensive outburst on the way to a school record in points
in a 74-24 win over UTPB. The senior carried the ball 18 times for 159 and scored three touchdowns. ASU totaled 560
yards of total offense including 239 on teh ground. He averaged 8.8 yards per carry and rushed for a long of 49.
Adam Berryman, Tarleton State University, led the Texans with 118 yards on 15 carries and 54 yard receiving on one
phenomenal catch and run in the fourth quarter to bring the Texans within one scoring in the winding minutes of the
game. The junior running back accounted for two big scoring plays as he got Tarleton on the board with a 69-yard
touchdown run in the third quarter and then broke free on a 54-yard touchdown catch on a fourth-and-13 to bring
Tarleton within five at 26-21 against No. 8 Texas A&M-Commerce.
Javia Hall, Western New Mexico, passed for 195 yards and two touchdowns, along with adding a rushing score in
leading the Mustangs to the 21-17 win over West Texas A&M. Hall found D'Angelo Bowie for the first touchdown of the
game late in the first quarter. He then added his rushing score in the third quarter to move WNMU to a 14-10 lead. He
got loose for a 23-yard score on fourth down. He contributed to all three Mustang touchdowns as his second TD pass to
Bowie gave WNMU a lead they would not relinquish in the fourth quarter. He ends up finishing the season throwing for
over 3,000 yards.
Jordan Thomas, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, capped off his senior season with a bang as he exploded for four
touchdowns, including the game winning score in the 38-34 win over William Jewell. The senior wideout put the
Javelinas on the board with a 100-yard kickoff return right before halftime. He then proceeded to catch a seven-yard TD
pass at the end of the third quarter, a two-yard TD pass in the beginning of the fourth, and finally a 34-yard TD pass with
one minute remaining which proved to be the game-winning play. Thomas finished with five receptions for 95 yards and
three touchdowns through the air. He led the LSC in receiving throughout the season and finished with 1,073 receiving
yards and 13 total touchdowns.
Dominic Barry, Western New Mexico, was again the leading tackler for the Mustangs posting 11 stops, with six
coming solo. He also added a tackle for loss in the win against the Buffs. He finishes the season with 10 or more tackles
in seven games.
Toby Amadi, Eastern New Mexico University, made eight tackles for the Eastern New Mexico University football
team against fourth-ranked Midwestern State. He also broke up two pass attempts, including a third-down stop.
David Solomon, Tarleton State University, shined in his senior game for Tarleton as the defensive end from Salt Lake
City, Utah had six tackles, a 12-yard sack of QB Luis Perez, and led all players with five QB hurries.
Justin Jackson, Angelo State University, led a defense that created three turnovers that were all returned for
touchdowns in a 74-24 win over UTPB. The junior intercepted a pass and returned it 81 yards for the game's first score.
He also recorded eight total tackles and 1.0 tackle for loss.
Ron Reid, Tarleton State University, punted eight times for an average of 45.6 yards per punt, including a long of 69
yards. He booted four of his kicks over 50 yards and pinned two down inside the 20-yard line.
Connor Flanigan, Angelo State University, tied the ASU single season school record with his 16th field goal of the
season. The sophomore connected on kicks of 25 and 36 and now leads the LSC with 1.6 per game. He also averaged
61.5 per kickoff with five touchbacks.
Bailey Hale, Eastern New Mexico University, kicked a 31-yard field goal to finish with seven points against fourth-
ranked Midwestern State. He also had five touchbacks on seven kickoffs to finish the season with 34.
Collin Grady, Western New Mexico, had several big punts to switch field position as he averaged 46.7 yards on three
punts, with three inside the 20 and one that went 53 yards that was downed at the two. He had three kickoffs for an
average of 51 yards, with one going for a touchback. He also made three extra points.

Eastern New Mexico
The 20th-ranked Eastern New Mexico University football team concluded the regular season in a wild shootout against
fourth-ranked Midwestern State. Behind a career-best 276 yard effort on 38 carries, senior Kamal Cass shattered Tom
Manley's (1973-76) ENMU record of 4,202 rushing yards and currently has 4301 yards. Thee Hounds held three leads in
the opening half, the final coming at 28-21 on a five-yard run from Tayshaun Gary. Eastern trailed just 35-31 early in the
four quarter after a field goal from Bailey Hale. Head Coach Kelley Lee matched Bill Kelly for the most wins by a
Greyhound coach in his first season at eight. Kelly's eight-win season came in 1983, when ENMU qualified for the NAIA
playoffs.
Midwestern State
Midwestern State completed its second unbeaten regular season in school history improving to 9-0 with a 56-43 win
over No. 20 Eastern New Mexico Saturday night in Portales... The Mustangs claimed their fourth overall Lone Star
Conference championship and second outright league title with the other coming in 2011... MSU improved to 13-2
against nationally ranked opposition during the regular season since the start of the 2011 campaign... The Mustangs
advance to NCAA postseason play for the third consecutive year and for the eighth time in program history... Junior
quarterback Layton Rabb tied a school record with six touchdown passes Saturday at Eastern New Mexico.... On the
heels of his school-record 433-yard passing day against Tarleton State, Rabb added the fifth-best throwing day in
program history completing 29-of-47 passes for 393 yards without an interception... Rabb moved into second on the
single season passing chart with 2,610 yards trailing only Zack Eskridge (3,295 yards in 2009... Rabb's 290.0 passing yards
per game is the best in program history... Junior running back Vincent Johnson became the seventh rusher in program
history to surpass the 2,000-yard mark finishing with 41 yards on four carries against Eastern New Mexico... Junior
running back Adrian Seales moved up three spots to 15th on the all-time rushing list with his fifth 100-yard game. He
now has 1,459 career rushing yards... Seales' 81-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter was the longest of his
career, ninth longest run in MSU history and longest since Johnson scampered 84 yards for TD against West Texas A&M
in 2015... Senior receiver Jerryl Yarbrough caught two touchdown passes (25, 10) to move into 10th-place on the all-time
TD receptions list with nine... Sophomore Xavier Land caught a career-high nine passes for 83 yards and two
touchdowns... The Mustangs have had a 100-yard receiver in each of the last four games and five times this season...
Four different MSU receivers have accounted for 100-yard games this season... Junior safety Sir'Vell Ford recorded a
career-high 16 tackles which are tied for the 10th most in a single game in program history... True freshman Tyler
Milliken caught seven passes for 121 yards to account for his second 100-yard receiving day of the season...
Tarleton State
Tarleton wrapped up the regular season with a 33-21 loss to Texas A&M-Commerce. The Texans have accepted their
fifth bowl invitation and will play in the Corsicana Bowl against UCO on Dec. 2.
Texas A&M-Commerce
The No. 8 Lions sealed their third consecutive NCAA playoff berth with a 33-21 win over Tarleton State - winning the
President's Cup for the fifth straight year. The Lions outgained the Texans 546-272. Kristov Martinez was a perfect 4-of-4
on field goal attempts, as well as making all three PATs. Those 15 points push his career total to 289, breaking the
previous A&M-Commerce career record of 281 set by Billy Watkins (1990-93). He made field goals of 24, 39, 42, and 35
yards. Quarterback Luis Perez completed 34-of-50 passes for 482 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. He
completed passes to seven different receivers. Buck Wilson had seven receptions for 193 yards and a 61-yard
touchdown. His game total is the most by a receiver in the tenure of head coach Colby Carthel. Marquis Wimberly had
five receptions for 113 yards and a 32-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter that sealed the victory. Darrion Landry
also caught a touchdown pass. Carandal Hale was the leading rusher with 78 yards. Garrett Blubaugh was the Lions'
leading tackler with seven stops. Neema Behbahani, Norman Moimoi, Devonta Leary, and Josh Reynolds each had sacks.
The Lions had 11 tackles for loss. Travon Blanchard and Dominique Ramsey each had interceptions in the first quarter.
Kieston Carter and Ramsey each forced a fumble. The Lions finish the season 9-1 and advance to the NCAA Playoffs as
the fifth seed. They will play fourth-seeded Winona State in Minnesota at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 18. This is the first
time the Lions have qualified for a postseason tournament in three straight seasons.
Texas A&M-Kingsville
The Javelinas concluded the season with a 38-34 win over William Jewell. Cade Dyal led the Hogs with 262 passing yards
and three touchdowns, completing 25-of-35 passes. Jordan Thomas was the biggest playmaker on the field totaling five
catches for 95 yards and was on the receiving end of all three of Dyals touchdown passes. He also returned a kickoff for
100 yards, matching the school record. Texas A&M-Kingsville ends their season 4-7 with a 2-6 LSC record.
UT Permian Basin

West Texas A&M
The Buffs dropped a hard-fought 21-17 decision on Senior Day to Western New Mexico, ending the season at 3-8 for the
first losing season since 2004...The Buffs held a 10-7 lead at halftime, but gave up touchdowns in the third and fourth
quarters to lose 21-17...Despite that, the Buffs had their best offensive outing in a long time with 353 yards of total
offense and 237 through the air with 116 on the ground...Junior Ben Arbuckle started his first game since Week
Three...He went 17 of 31 with no interceptions and two touchdowns...Junior Warren Witherspoon had 75 yards on the
ground, while sophomore Avery Lewis caught four balls for 64 yards and a score...Missed chances doomed the Buffs as
they were 2-3 in the red zone and went 1-4 in field goals...WT outgained the high-powered Mustang offense 353-
290...The Buffs had 10 tackles for loss in the game and two sacks, while senior Carter James recorded his 300th career
tackle in the game and finished with five stops and 304 total tackles for his career...WT honored ten seniors playing in
their final game Saturday...Sophomore Kevon Thomas recorded his team-leading fourth interception of the season in the
game for the lone turnover.
Western New Mexico
WNMU ends the season winning three of their final four games after defeating West Texas A&M 21-17. The Mustang
defense made several key stops late in the game to preserve the win. WT got the ball at the WNMU 27 and 15-yard line
and came away with no points, as the defense forced a missed field goal and turnover on downs. Javia Hall ends the year
passing for 3,006 yards and 24 touchdowns. D'Angelo Bowie caught 68 passes for 883 yards and 10 touchdowns, while
Dominic Barry came away with 118 tackles, with 15.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. Hall passed for 195 yards and two
touchdowns, along with adding a rushing score in leading the Mustangs to the 21-17 win over West Texas A&M. Hall
found D'Angelo Bowie for the first touchdown of the game late in the first quarter. He then added his rushing score in
the third quarter to move WNMU to a 14-10 lead. He got loose for a 23-yard score on fourth down. He contributed to all
three Mustang touchdowns as his second TD pass to Bowie gave WNMU a lead they wouldn't relinquish in the fourth

The Mustangs earned the No. 3 seed in Super Region Four, while the Lions are the fifth seed. On Saturday, Nov. 18, MSU will host No. 6 Sioux Falls in Wichita Falls, Texas, while A&M-C plays at No. 4 Winona State in Winona, Minnesota. Both games will kick off at 1 p.m. CT. Additionally, Tarleton State will face Central Oklahoma in the Corsicana Bowl on Saturday, December 2 in Corsicana, Texas. Kickoff is at 12 p.m. LSC FOOTBALL Midwestern State won its fourth Lone Star Conference Championship with a perfect 8-0 league record. LSC football teams are 51-43 overall this season. The squads are 5-3 combined versus the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and Great Northwest Athletic Conference teams, which are also in NCAA Super Regional Four. LSC schedule and results available here: http://www.lonestarconference.org/calendar.aspx?path=football PLAYERS OF THE WEEK OFFENSIVE Layton Rabb, Midwestern State University, JR, QB, Llano, Texas, Llano HS Rabb tied a school record with six touchdown passes while throwing for 393 yards to lead No. 4-ranked Midwestern State to a 56-43 win over No. 20 Eastern New Mexico Saturday night Greyhound Stadium. The win clinched MSU's fourth Lone Star Conference championship and first outright league title since 2011. The Llano native completed 29-of- 47 passes with a pair of touchdown strikes to Xavier Land, Brandon Sampson and Jerryl Yarbrough. The six passing touchdowns matches the most in NCAA Division II this season. It was the fourth-best passing game in school history coming on the heels of last week's 433-yard effort against Tarleton State. Rabb boasts four 300-yard performances this season amassing 2,610 yard with 26 touchdowns to only four interceptions. DEFENSIVE Kieston Carter, Texas A&M University-Commerce, SR, DE, Mexia, Texas, Mexia HS Carter was key for the Lions' defense as they wrapped up their 9-1 season with a 33-21 win over Tarleton. He had five tackles with two important tackles for loss and forced a fumble to lead an opportunistic Lion defensive effort, which limited Tarleton to 272 yards.

SPECIAL TEAMS Kristov Martinez, Texas A&M University-Commerce, JR, K, Edinburg, Texas, Edinburg HS Martinez scored 15 points in the No. 8 Lions' 33-21 over Tarleton, becoming the school's all-time leader in scoring in the process. He made field goals of 24, 39, 42, and 35 yards in the game. His four field goals in a game ties an A&M- Commerce record. He now has 289 points, breaking a school record that has stood since 1993. His 160 career PATs is a school record and he ranks second in school history with 43 career field goals. The four field goals in a game is the second most in NCAA Division II this season. Wilson caught 7 passes for a career- high 193 yards and a 61-yard touchdown. He was the key recipient of Luis Perez, who completed 34-of-50 passes for 482 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. Kamal Cass, Eastern New Mexico University, rushed for a career-best and Lone Star Conference season-high 276 yards and scored three touchdowns against fourth-ranked Midwestern State on Saturday evening. The performance gives him an ENMU record 4,301 yards for his career, eclipsing the record of 4,202 set by Tom Manley in 1976. Cass carried the ball on ENMU's first five plays from scrimmage and accumulated 73 yards on that drive alone. On a career- high 38 carries, the senior fullback averaged an incredible 7.3 yards. Josh Stevens, Angelo State University, led the Rams in an offensive outburst on the way to a school record in points in a 74-24 win over UTPB. The senior carried the ball 18 times for 159 and scored three touchdowns. ASU totaled 560 yards of total offense including 239 on teh ground. He averaged 8.8 yards per carry and rushed for a long of 49. Adam Berryman, Tarleton State University, led the Texans with 118 yards on 15 carries and 54 yard receiving on one phenomenal catch and run in the fourth quarter to bring the Texans within one scoring in the winding minutes of the game. The junior running back accounted for two big scoring plays as he got Tarleton on the board with a 69-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and then broke free on a 54-yard touchdown catch on a fourth-and-13 to bring Tarleton within five at 26-21 against No. 8 Texas A&M-Commerce. Javia Hall, Western New Mexico, passed for 195 yards and two touchdowns, along with adding a rushing score in leading the Mustangs to the 21-17 win over West Texas A&M. Hall found D'Angelo Bowie for the first touchdown of the game late in the first quarter. He then added his rushing score in the third quarter to move WNMU to a 14-10 lead. He got loose for a 23-yard score on fourth down. He contributed to all three Mustang touchdowns as his second TD pass to Bowie gave WNMU a lead they would not relinquish in the fourth quarter. He ends up finishing the season throwing for over 3,000 yards. Jordan Thomas, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, capped off his senior season with a bang as he exploded for four touchdowns, including the game winning score in the 38-34 win over William Jewell. The senior wideout put the Javelinas on the board with a 100-yard kickoff return right before halftime. He then proceeded to catch a seven-yard TD pass at the end of the third quarter, a two-yard TD pass in the beginning of the fourth, and finally a 34-yard TD pass with one minute remaining which proved to be the game-winning play. Thomas finished with five receptions for 95 yards and three touchdowns through the air. He led the LSC in receiving throughout the season and finished with 1,073 receiving yards and 13 total touchdowns. Dominic Barry, Western New Mexico, was again the leading tackler for the Mustangs posting 11 stops, with six coming solo. He also added a tackle for loss in the win against the Buffs. He finishes the season with 10 or more tackles in seven games. Toby Amadi, Eastern New Mexico University, made eight tackles for the Eastern New Mexico University football team against fourth-ranked Midwestern State. He also broke up two pass attempts, including a third-down stop. David Solomon, Tarleton State University, shined in his senior game for Tarleton as the defensive end from Salt Lake City, Utah had six tackles, a 12-yard sack of QB Luis Perez, and led all players with five QB hurries. Justin Jackson, Angelo State University, led a defense that created three turnovers that were all returned for touchdowns in a 74-24 win over UTPB. The junior intercepted a pass and returned it 81 yards for the game's first score. He also recorded eight total tackles and 1.0 tackle for loss.
  • 4. Ron Reid, Tarleton State University, punted eight times for an average of 45.6 yards per punt, including a long of 69 yards. He booted four of his kicks over 50 yards and pinned two down inside the 20-yard line. Connor Flanigan, Angelo State University, tied the ASU single season school record with his 16th field goal of the season. The sophomore connected on kicks of 25 and 36 and now leads the LSC with 1.6 per game. He also averaged 61.5 per kickoff with five touchbacks. Bailey Hale, Eastern New Mexico University, kicked a 31-yard field goal to finish with seven points against fourth- ranked Midwestern State. He also had five touchbacks on seven kickoffs to finish the season with 34. Collin Grady, Western New Mexico, had several big punts to switch field position as he averaged 46.7 yards on three punts, with three inside the 20 and one that went 53 yards that was downed at the two. He had three kickoffs for an average of 51 yards, with one going for a touchback. He also made three extra points. Midwestern State Midwestern State completed its second unbeaten regular season in school history improving to 9-0 with a 56-43 win over No. 20 Eastern New Mexico Saturday night in Portales... Junior quarterback Layton Rabb tied a school record with six touchdown passes Saturday at Eastern New Mexico.... On the heels of his school-record 433-yard passing day against Tarleton State, Rabb added the fifth-best throwing day in program history completing 29-of-47 passes for 393 yards without an interception... Rabb moved into second on the single season passing chart with 2,610 yards trailing only Zack Eskridge (3,295 yards in 2009... Rabb's 290.0 passing yards per game is the best in program history... Junior running back Vincent Johnson became the seventh rusher in program history to surpass the 2,000-yard mark finishing with 41 yards on four carries against Eastern New Mexico... Junior running back Adrian Seales moved up three spots to 15th on the all-time rushing list with his fifth 100-yard game. He now has 1,459 career rushing yards...   • 5. Tarleton State Tarleton wrapped up the regular season with a 33-21 loss to Texas A&M-Commerce. The Texans have accepted their fifth bowl invitation and will play in the Corsicana Bowl against UCO on Dec. 2. Texas A&M-Commerce The No. 8 Lions sealed their third consecutive NCAA playoff berth with a 33-21 win over Tarleton State - winning the President's Cup for the fifth straight year. The Lions outgained the Texans 546-272. Kristov Martinez was a perfect 4-of-4 on field goal attempts, as well as making all three PATs. Those 15 points push his career total to 289, breaking the previous A&M-Commerce career record of 281 set by Billy Watkins (1990-93). He made field goals of 24, 39, 42, and 35 yards. Quarterback Luis Perez completed 34-of-50 passes for 482 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. He completed passes to seven different receivers. Buck Wilson had seven receptions for 193 yards and a 61-yard touchdown. His game total is the most by a receiver in the tenure of head coach Colby Carthel. Marquis Wimberly had five receptions for 113 yards and a 32-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter that sealed the victory. Darrion Landry also caught a touchdown pass. Carandal Hale was the leading rusher with 78 yards. Garrett Blubaugh was the Lions' leading tackler with seven stops. Neema Behbahani, Norman Moimoi, Devonta Leary, and Josh Reynolds each had sacks. The Lions had 11 tackles for loss. Travon Blanchard and Dominique Ramsey each had interceptions in the first quarter. Kieston Carter and Ramsey each forced a fumble. The Lions finish the season 9-1 and advance to the NCAA Playoffs as the fifth seed. They will play fourth-seeded Winona State in Minnesota at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 18. This is the first time the Lions have qualified for a postseason tournament in three straight seasons. Texas A&M-Kingsville The Javelinas concluded the season with a 38-34 win over William Jewell. Cade Dyal led the Hogs with 262 passing yards and three touchdowns, completing 25-of-35 passes. Jordan Thomas was the biggest playmaker on the field totaling five catches for 95 yards and was on the receiving end of all three of Dyals touchdown passes. He also returned a kickoff for 100 yards, matching the school record. Texas A&M-Kingsville ends their season 4-7 with a 2-6 LSC record. UT Permian Basin * Angelo State 74, UT Permian Basin 24 West Texas A&M The Buffs dropped a hard-fought 21-17 decision on Senior Day to Western New Mexico, ending the season at 3-8 for the first losing season since 2004...The Buffs held a 10-7 lead at halftime, but gave up touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters to lose 21-17...Despite that, the Buffs had their best offensive outing in a long time with 353 yards of total offense and 237 through the air with 116 on the ground...Junior Ben Arbuckle started his first game since Week Three...He went 17 of 31 with no interceptions and two touchdowns...Junior Warren Witherspoon had 75 yards on the ground, while sophomore Avery Lewis caught four balls for 64 yards and a score...Missed chances doomed the Buffs as they were 2-3 in the red zone and went 1-4 in field goals...WT outgained the high-powered Mustang offense 353- 290...The Buffs had 10 tackles for loss in the game and two sacks, while senior Carter James recorded his 300th career tackle in the game and finished with five stops and 304 total tackles for his career...WT honored ten seniors playing in their final game Saturday...Sophomore Kevon Thomas recorded his team-leading fourth interception of the season in the game for the lone turnover.   • 6. WNMU ends the season winning three of their final four games after defeating West Texas A&M 21-17. The Mustang defense made several key stops late in the game to preserve the win. WT got the ball at the WNMU 27 and 15-yard line and came away with no points, as the defense forced a missed field goal and turnover on downs. Javia Hall ends the year passing for 3,006 yards and 24 touchdowns. D'Angelo Bowie caught 68 passes for 883 yards and 10 touchdowns, while Dominic Barry came away with 118 tackles, with 15.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.
