How a magazine represents middle-class and upper-class females aged 15-19
1. How does your media product represent particular social groups?
2. My media product represents the particular social group of a middle-class too upper-class female around the age of 15-19 in a number of different ways: for example on my front cover, the whole house-style of that front cover is very contemporary which is good way to drag them in from afar, the reason it looks contemporary is for multiple reasons; the picture of my ‘artist’ is a pretty, long blonde girl holding a orangey acoustic guitar who looks very similar to Pixie Lott who is fashion icon and it suites nicely within my magazine. Also the language I have used within the magazine is quite formal and the font I have used which is ‘Georgia’ also suites the audience as they are both sophiscated and look neat and its easy to read. I have used female attractions throughout this magazine, all of the artists being respectable females of today which my audience really love as from my feed back they couldn’t think of many more than I could of included within that band of artist I was going for which I am very happy about. I think that the orangey look throughout my magazine gives it a vibrant feel, and a happy feel throughout the magazine which also fits my social group. I think my media product represents my particular social group throughout the magazine because everything is aimed at that particular group/audience and it all seems to blend together well.
