OLIVIER BONAVENTURE is currently a professor in the Department of Computing Science and Engineering at Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), Belgium. From 1998 to 2002 he was a professor at the Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix, Namur, Belgium. Before that, he received a Ph.D. degree from the University of Liège and spent one year at the Alcatel Corporate Research Center in Antwerp. He received the Wernaers and Alcatel prizes awarded by the Belgian National Fund for Scientific Research in 2001. His current research interests include intra- and interdomain routing, traffic engineering, and network security.
