What different areas of society are
represented in your magazine?
The main sub-culture of pop music is its fandom. Fandom is a subculture composed
of fans characterized by a feeling of sympathy with others who share a common
interest. They spend a significant portion of their time and energy involved with
their interest, often as a part of a social network with particular practices (a
fandom). A fandom can grow up centred around any area of human interest or
activity. The subject of fan interest can be narrowly defined, focused on something
like an individual celebrity.

Type of people who
would buy my
magazine?
The type of people that would buy my
magazine would be interested in listening to
music, going to concerts an be enthusiastic
about the latest celebrity gossip and
interviews.
Race & Ethnicity:
In my magazine you can see that all the people are Asian British people.
The people in my magazine are British as this magazine will be published in
the UK.
Gender:
My magazine is targeted at female teenage girls. My magazine is
appropriate for females as feminine colours have been used such as pink
and purple etc. All of my models used in my magazines are females which
shows that this magazine is targeted at female.

Age:
The age of my target audience is 13-16 years old. I think that this is a
appropriate age group for my magazine as teenaged girls are the most
enthusiastic about pop music.
Social Class:
The social class of my target audience would be girls from middle income
families. I have chosen this social class as most people who are middle
classed buy music magazines and can afford to go to concerts and gigs.
Disability:
I think that my music magazine is appropriate for all types of people who
enjoy listening to pop music. However there are those such as wheelchair
users who may find it hard to go to concerts and gigs because of their
disability. In this case I do not think that some people with disabilities
would by this magazine.
