less than 4)
Once a week
Don’t watch films
5. What is your favourite
genre from the following?
Action/adventure
Crime
Thriller/Horror
Drama
Sci-Fi
7. What do you find most
important in a film intro?
• For example talk about the music – fast or slow
paced?
• Also action or no action at the start?
8. Which idea do you think
is best?
• My second idea consists of a detective/policeman
coming home in a storm, but realising a criminal has
recently escaped from a prison nearby to his town.
He then becomes conscious of his stalker when the
door he closed is wide open, revealing the pouring
rain he was earlier in. Shots include establishing
shots of his house, shots of his windows with a black
figure walking around, and over the shoulder shots
of doors or places he just visited. For the music, it
would have to be something Dark, slow and bassy.
9. This?
• I have an idea of the main character receiving
random messages from a known person on a social
media website. This known person is also known to
be dead so there is a sense of mystery and
suspense built in the audience. At the end of the
messages the protagonist would close down his
laptop in dark room and a face would appear to
create the element of surprise and scare the
audience.
10. Maybe this one?
• My third idea is about a man getting ready for
something unknown. by the way he is dressed, it
could be work or a job interview, but certain
aspects of what he is wearing and what he is doing
suggests otherwise. It begins with him waking up
and getting ready, like a normal person, with
aspects of something strange, and then walking
down a busy street. shots include low shots of his
feet as he walks, over the shoulder shots as he looks
in the mirror, and 'selfie' styled shots. music would be
upbeat and funky, like 'Superstitious' by Stevie
Wonder.
11. Finally you might like
this?
• My 4th idea would be something like a drug deal
going down and then the dealers get angry and
the buyer has to run away. The opening of this
scene would be the deal going down and then the
rest of the film that we make would be the chase.
