my target market I conducted a
research into what appeal to them.
To do this I created a short
questionnaire of 10 questions.

my results the majority of my
sample said that they did enjoy
watching thriller movies.
Whereas a few people said they
didn’t or only
sometimes/maybe.

I carried out this research to find
out peoples favourite sub-genres.
From my results I have a
varied range of answers.
However psychological and
action were the most popular.
Therefore when doing my
thriller opening I will consider
using the sub-genre of
psychological or action as this is
the most common amongst my
research.

5. What types of props interests you in a thriller movie?
Dolls/Toys
Knives/Guns

I carried out this research to
find out what types of props
interests people in a thriller
movie. From my results the
most popular is knives and
guns. Thus in my thriller
opening I would include
knives or guns due to this
research, it would create a
sense of destruction which is
evident as a thriller
convention.

villain. From this result the most
popular is male. Hence in my
thriller opening I would include
a male figure that could
supposedly be the antagonist.

I carried out this research to find
out what peoples favourite films
are. Since this has given me a
varied range of results, though
the most popular ones are The
Dark Knight Trilogy and The
Silence of the Lambs. From this
research I would watch the
opening of the movie and
consider parts of the movie to
include into my thriller opening.
So I have different concepts that
I could include into my opening.

8. What type of music would expect to hear in a thriller movie?
Classical

I carried out this research to find
out what type of music would
be expected in a thriller movie.
The most common one was
nursery rhymes. This may be
because of the psychological
nature as you wouldn’t assume
adults to listen to nursery
rhymes. This would also tie in
well with the psychological
sub-genre.

From this result the most

As a result I will consider using a
