The document summarizes the process of designing a magazine cover and how the author was inspired by conventions from Q magazine. The author liked how Q magazine used block colors to make elements stand out, had the artist name on the front, and used a letter for the title. The author also included images of the cover artist and other artists, numbered pages, contents in bold, and indicated the issue number. The red coloring and font used for page numbers were effective elements that were mirrored in the author's own magazine cover design.

3. I looked at some issues of Q magazine to get some ideas and I ended up using some of the
conventions I found on my own front cover.
I liked the way they used block colors
To make them sand out to the reader
I also noticed how they
use the same color
scheme
I thought this was
effective because it
adds color to
The magazine.
I used a splash on my cover
The same as Q
I also made sure to have the artist
Name on the front cover
I liked the idea of using a letter for the title to make it
Short and easy to remember. I also enlarged the letter
Making it stand out for the reader to see I also used a selling line
similar to this one.
4. Features are important
to the
reader so they know
what to expect
on each page
I have used 2 images of my cover
Artist with another. Images are also used
for a visual effect. Conventions for this
is not to have images only of the cover
Artist. It needs photos of other
artists/articles in the magazine
I have a smaller version of
The title and logo to show/inform
people of the name if the magazine
gets showed around
Numbered pages lined to
the side to inform the
reader what they can find
Contents is shown bold to easily show
what the page is about
Color scheme to fit in with the
overall theme. Makes it pleasing

5. I liked the way
the red stands
out on the
magazine.
I felt like this
made it bold
and more eye
catching which
Is why I also
used red on
mine.
I also thought the
font for the
numbers looked
very official in the
magazine so I
tried to mirror it in
mine.
I also
liked
the
overlayin
g
of the
numbers
On the

Using the block
color
is a great way to
make
sure the important
parts
of the magazine
stand out
And are eye
catching
