4. I made sure that my magazine followed the general conventions
of a typical rap magazine. This means that the magazine is
able to stand out on the shelf to the certain audience that it
targets.
My front cover follows the main conventions that make up a
magazine as the masthead is at the top of the page, cover lines
are on the side of the page. I have followed the general
conventions in order for my magazine to look appropriate
and can be distinguished as a magazine.

7. With my contents page I made sure I followed the general
conventions of another magazine , as it would not look
realistic if I didn’t. I tried to keep the same structure as the
example but also give my own twist to it by having the text
spaced out and in order to do this I had to have less pictures.
The conventions I have taken on board from the example is the
structure and layout of the photos and text. I have done this
so that the contents page looks realistic and that it has some
form of structure when looked upon.

10. My double page spread challenges the conventions of a typical
double page spread as instead of dedicating one page to the
main artist I decided to fill the page with as much
information as I could but leave enough room to have a fair
large image to represent the artist the article is about. I also
wanted to add more pictures of the main artist; this is shown
in the bottom left hand corner of the page.
