1. Looking back at your
preliminary task, what do you
feel you have learnt in the
progression from it to the full
product?
2. Cover
I feel like my magazine cover now has made a huge improvement from
the preliminary task as the final cover now looks much more
professional due to the lack of sell lines. This is because of the style I
want, a sleek, neat and minimalistic style. My increased research made
me come to the idea that I want a minimalistic style which goes against
codes and conventions.
One of the main improvements of the final product is the masthead.
The masthead on the FP looks much more professional and is in the
centre of the page. I think this is good placement as it captures your
eye, and you immediately know what magazine it is. The PTs masthead
is in the top left corner and in my opinion doesn’t look professional.
Another improvement on the FP is the colour scheme. I haven’t used
bright colours which works with the magazine as it looks aesthetically
pleasing. Where as with the PT it is quite hard to read the sell lines.
The cover of the FP only features a cover line this is because I wanted a
minimalistic style. Also I wanted all the attention on the image. With
the image it has direct address which makes the reader look
comfortable where as with the PT there is no direct address and the
reader may feel lost.

3. Contents
I feel like my FP has improved a lot since the PT. As again I
have kept with the minimalistic theme.
One of the main improvements of the FP contents page is
the structure and lay out. I have divided my page into
sections which makes the contents page easy to read. With
the PT I have not featured any information on what is on
the pages I just have provided the topic. Since learning
more about contents pages I know now I need to add detail
to contents page features.
With my FP there is now synergy between the pages,
something I didn’t do with the PT
