2. The front cover
This is the first image on my magazine and it
is the main front cover picture. I chose this
image due to it being sharp and also the link
with music (the headphones). It also provided
me with a large amount of black blank space
around the edge of the main subject this was
good I would have space around it to write
cover lines and sell lines as well as the mast
head above.
This is the second image on my front cover, it is a lot
smaller than the main image but is used as a preview of
the poster included in the magazine. I chose this as it
stands out against the other images with the black back
drop and also the lighting works well.
3. Contents page
I chose this image for the contents
page as it leaves a lot to be
interpreted as he is looking away so
this could mean that you will have
to read on to find out more. The
black background again provided a
space to write the main cover line.
The way he is dressed in a hoodie
with headphones also gives the
magazine a DJ dance feel which
gives the reader an idea into what
the magazine is about and the
genre.
4. Double page spread
I have chosen this for my
double page spread as it
fits with the other images
on my pages so it can be
easily recognised as the
pages all going together.
This way the reader can
relate to the stories from
the front cover and find it
via the contents page.
There is also a lot of
black backdrop that could
be used to colour the
page like they do in Q
magazine.
