The document analyzes carbon stock stored in oil palm plantations of different ages in PT Daria Dharma Pratama, Bengkulu, Indonesia. The largest carbon stock was found in plantations aged 11-15 years at 69.32 tonnes per hectare. Carbon stock increased with plantation age as the plants grew taller. Carbon stock declined in plantations aged 16-20 years and over 20 years as palm fronds began falling and canopy overlap increased competition for sunlight. Undergrowth carbon was highest in the youngest plantations but declined with increased canopy cover over time.
