set up in the UK.
• Was established in 1947 by Richard Winfrey. I.
It specialises in business-to-business magazines
and it organizes conferences and events in
these businesses. It is linked to Apax and the
Guardian Media Group. It stands for East
Midlands Allied Press.

4. SYNOGY
• As well as an advertising agency, EMAP also
have EMAP Radio. This is owned by 40 UK and
Ireland local radio stations. It purchases radio
stations and twenty of its music stations are in
the UK or Ireland.
6. BAUER MEDIA GROUP
• It is a multinational media company set up in
Hamburg, Germany. It operates in 16 different
countries in the world including the UK.
• Because they own Kerrang! (another rock
magazine) this could be very beneficial because
they could:
Use the same images from each others photoshoot
Advertise each others magazine
Use the same stories
Sell the same product
8. HOW THIS LINKS TO ‘UPRISING’
• I use synergy by having a Shop in my magazine
so that companies will pay us to sell their
product
• Could publish with other Rock Magazine
publishers. Preferably the Bauer Group as
they have been successful before
