up.
Mind Map
• Colourful, bodacious and make sure it stands out
• Catchy and noticeable
• Noticeable
• Eye catching
• Take ideas from other countries and previous posters
• Make it relevant to the targeted audience
• Use iconic colouring such as the bright red
• Use colours that will make it stand out from other soft drink posters
• Make it flashy and bright
• Use some elements from the current season like snow for winter, bright orange
leaves for autumn or bright colours and silhouettes of animals and flowers for
spring
• Place a can/bottle resting in either sand, snow, leaves or up against something
like a tree
• Make sure that the theme is relevant and current to the time of year
• Use a slogan like taste the feeling or share a coke with etc etc
• Make a bright, noticeable, new poster that is better than previous designs that
we have seen.
Mind Map
• Strengths of using this method
– Put ideas down easier
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Can forget a good idea easily
• Did you like using this method? Why? yes as I
could map out my ideas quite easily
Mood Board
Mood Board
• Strengths of using this method
Can get images you like
• Weaknesses of using this method
Can lose room on mood board
• Did you like using this method? Why? Yes
cause I could take ideas from different posters
Style Sheet
• Fonts : a usual and common coca cola font one that makes it look like an official poster.
• Colour scheme: red fading into a yellow, make it bright along with the fading an orange that looks like
a sunset breaking through the middle of the two colours.
• Silhouettes : a tree with leaves falling to the ground, have a bird flying away from the tree and
towards the other side of the poster.
• Themes : an autumnal theme, a bright/ fading colours theme.
• Seasonal elements : autumn elements (orange yellow colours such as these), along with some
elements of summer as it is the end of summer.
• Style : a more used and recent style for the posters that is original but also colourful.
Style Sheet
• Strengths of using this method
– Can put down certain styles
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Can take time to think
• Did you like using this method? Why? Yes
because I was able to write all my ideas down
Layout Plan
Here on my poster
I will have the
main coca cola
logo along the side
with it in front of a
bright background
with the primary
colour being red
whilst fading into a
yellow with an
orange break
through the
middle of the two
colours.
Here will be a
silhouette of a tee with
leaves falling towards
the left hand side of
the poster with a bird
flying among them
almost hidden among
the leaves. Along with
a bottle resting/leaning
against the tree.
Here is where the stream of
leaves and the birds will be
whilst going across the
poster left to right.
Layout Plan
• Strengths of using this method
– Can plan the layout of the poster
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Can change when the final product is made
• Did you like using this method? Why? Yes
because it was easier to plan
Independent Brainstorm
• Use voices depending on the season e.g. Santa for Christmas or a
ghost for Halloween
• Use references to the correct season
• Use the slogan you used for your poster
• Have the advertisement send a message to the audience
• Set a scene for the audience
• Use sound affects
• Make it sound tempting and refreshing
• Use existing voices/voice overs
Independent Brainstorm
• Strengths of using this method
– Can write down your own ideas
• Weaknesses of using this method
– You cant brainstorm as well as when you’re in a group
• Did you like using this method? Why? No because
I cant bounce my ideas of another person to then
make a successful product
Group Idea Generation
Group Idea Generation
• Strengths of using this method
– You can get the input of everyone's ideas which
could then be merged with other peoples
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Too many ideas
• Did you like using this method? Why? Yes
because peoples ideas can bounce off others
and make a good product
Informal Pitch
• Strengths of using this method
– You can get professional input on your ideas
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Can get unwanted feedback
• Did you like using this method? Why? yes
because I got ideas I didn’t think of before
Formal Proposal
• Strengths of using this method
– Can write down key bits of information
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Wont know how to answer a specific question
• Did you like using this method? Why? Yes
because I got to make a few things clear when
completing the advert
Initial Reaction
• I have to make a back drop along with some
coke cans dotted around the game map
Initial Reaction
• Strengths of using this method
– Helps plan out ideas
• Weaknesses of using this method
– can forget ideas
• Did you like using this method? Why? Yes as it
is an ideal method of writing and
remembering information
Sketches
Sketches
• Strengths of using this method
– Can draw what characters you want
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Can mess up so you have to redo the drawing
• Did you like using this method? Why? Yes as it
is a way of putting ideas down on paper in
picture form
Formal Proposal
• Strengths of using this method
– Able to get feedback from another person that can be
very productive
• Weaknesses of using this method
– U could get unwanted feedback or the feedback could
be unhelpful
• Did you like using this method? Why? Yes
because it is helpful and it can help you and your
progress move forward
