2. Questions
I asked a total of 6 questions
regarding my music video. These
questions included a range of
quantitative as well as qualitative
questions so that I could gain a
variety of answers. I gave the
respondents an option to add in
any extra comments by providing a
comment box below the questions.
3. Q1
Q2
All of the responses rated my music video as being
quite professional with 70% giving a rating of 4 and
30% giving 5.
This indicates to me that most of my music video is
done well and perhaps there only needs to be a
couple of improvements that need to be made.
Most of the responses rated my music video as being
suitable for the pop genre with 60% rating it excellent.
As for the professionalism and quality there is a
higher percentage for those who rated it as good. This
suggests to me that I need to work on these areas.
None of the responses rated it as ok or poor indicates
that it may only need a few improvements to make it
better.
4. Q3
Q4
The responses indicated that the editing, lyrics, mise-
en-scene and colours should be kept the way it is with
70-80% giving those elements an excellent rating.
However, I found that the areas which needs to be
improved the most were the camera shot types and
lighting.
Similarly, I found that the camera shot types needed to be
improved in order to gain a more positive response from the
audience. Gathering from the previous responses it seems
that the camera shot types is the biggest problem of my
music video at the moment which I need to change.
5. Q5 Q6
From these responses it seems that my audience like the use of
colours, props as well as fonts in my music video which informs me
that I should maintain the way in which I did it. Since there were
only a few props used and it seems to be favourable, I intend to
add more props in the final video.
Again, I found that the elements of camera used in my
music video is lacking and is the biggest part which needs to
be improved on.
6. Overall, from this survey I found that main area I need to work on is camera. I
will edit the scenes in my music video so that it includes a wider range of shots. I
will also try to include more movement with different transitions.
In the second music video shoot, I will be filming with new props to add into the
final music video as I know that this element largely appeals to the audience. I
also will maintain the use of colours and fonts as my audience mentioned that it
fits well with the pop genre.
