2. I arranged a focus group to give me some feedback on my song
choice for my music video, as well as to gain some ideas and things
to include in my video itself, what I found is that people wanted me
to make a performance based video, due to the song being a rap
song, another point was make the editing cuts fit the song, due to
the song being a rap song there are many beats, I have timed these
to the cuts so that it makes it more professional and engaging. due
to my song being a rap song my focus group insisted that I made my
video in an urban area. I thought this was a key point which I
pursued.

3. Feedback on music video draft
The feedback I received on my music video was very helpful there
were some comments that were about things to keep and there
were comments about things to add/change. One comment was to
make some improvements with the editing, this was because my
first draft the video didn’t really flow along with the song, I put the
clips that I had together so it wasn’t smooth. Another comment
was about the Lighting – the lighting was very good and fits a long
with him as well as the music video itself. Finally there was a
comment to add other shots into my music video, so that it isn’t all
done in one place, this was understandable as this would not be
engaging, therefore changed location for the second half so that
my video is more effective. I feel that these played a big role in
making my music video better
4. Feedback on my ancillary tasks
The feedback I received on my ancillary tasks was very positive, the
comments I received were good placement of texts/pictures as well
as good colours used, the layout is quite professional and follows
themes and conventions of other rap albums.
5. Feedback for future
Some feedback I received for the future was make my video both
narrative and performance, have both going on at the same time, this
means that the artist can show his talent as well as there being a
narration to the song, that way the audience can watch whilst they
listen, keep editing similar as it fits with the genre of the song well. Have
more varied camera shots and angles to make the video more
professional and exciting. I found these points very helpful, I will take
these on board for next time I make a music video.
