2. Costume
The costume of my artist will be quite casual and simple with minimal
accessories. This may be a t-shirt with jeans and a pair of trainers. I decided
to go with this look because the genre is pop and so the audience are likely
to be teenagers, therefore I think creating a costume that is similar to the
target audience’s style would be suitable because they can closely relate to
it and imitate it.
The artist will probably wear a coloured t-shirt with black jeans to match
with it. Alternatively, coloured jeans may be worn depending on how well it
matches with the t-shirt. If possible I will try to make the outfit look as
bright as possible so that it conveys a happy mood to fit the concept of the
song.
For the shoes, I aim for a lighter colour such as blue, pink or purple which
would match the colours of the outfit and make it look colourful but not
too bright that it will be uncomfortable for the audience to look at.
Hair
For the hair it will be kept down and I will perhaps
style the artist’s hair so that it is slightly wavy.
This will make it match with the simple costume
and make-up to make it look less plain. It would
also present a cuter looking image to match with
the song which is bright and happy.
Make-up
As for the make-up, I will also keep it simple with
just eye make-up and a light pink colour for the
lip. This will complement with the simple outfit
and also will be a better image for young people
to look at, as the target audience are teenagers
who are likely to imitate the styles of the artist.
Accessories
I will not use many accessories and
may just put a bracelet or necklace
on the artist to brighten up the
outfit a bit. I wouldn’t put in
earrings or hair accessories as it
may look too much and the
simplicity of the costume would
not be achieved.
I may use some cute glasses for the
artist to put on as extra random/fun
scenes.
