5. • SMI University invites applicants to work as a
lecturer in the Business Department in which
the person will teach courses in
business administration department, such as
accounting, finance, human resources,
operations research, marketing and
management etc, in our area Aiwan-e-Tijarat
Road, Karachi.
• Instructors will be required to prepare and
deliver lectures to the students in the Bachelor
of Business Administration program, using a
variety of teaching methods.
7. • The person will be working in the Business Department.
• Teach courses in their subject area.
• Develop an instructional plan (known as a course
outline or syllabus) for the course(s) they teach and
ensure that it meets college and department standards.
• To engage in examining duties, i.e. the production of
exam questions/papers, exam marking and moderation.
• Maintain student attendance records, grades, tests and
other required records.
• Use the College’s learning management system to post
syllabus, assignments and other materials and to
communicate with students.
8. • Be available for student consultation through office hours
or scheduled appointments or by phone or email.
• Encourage students to submit course evaluations, review
course evaluations when available and use feedback to
improve course delivery.
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
• Maintaining knowledge of, and implementing college
policies.
• Stay informed about changes and innovations in their field.
• Meet with the Dean as needed to discuss all aspects of the
course including student progress and curriculum
development.
• Submit an annual performance review.

10. • Degree in Business or Master’s Degree or
MBA.
• At least 5 years successful experience of
teaching Business studies.

through a variety of teaching/learning styles.
• Ability to use technology effectively in teaching.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally
and in writing.
• Negotiation skills, Critical-thinking skills, time
management skills technical skills and social

• Good organizational skills and timeliness in
responding to student inquiries.

16. • Problems in having the questionnaire filled
such as;
• Limitation address / Lack of information.
• Less agreeableness, no one was agreeing to fill
the questionnaire because it was detailed
(lengthy) and time consuming.
17. After all these issues / problems we’ve used
secondary data, as the information was not
clearly defined by the respondents. The overall
experience of conducting this exercise was
excellent as we’ve visited few banks and
colleges from which we gain a lot of
knowledge and knowhow about their rules and
policies.
