Job Summary
Under direction of immediate supervisor, performs research, taking class and giving service to
the Management Department of Jaganath University.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
 Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments and provide appropriate
feedback on work & maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and
development
 Keeping up to date with current advances in both research & preparing lectures in the
easiest way to make understand the learners easily.
 Organizing conferences, editing and refereeing for journals.
 Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the
university and apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary
 Perform certain pastoral duties including student support, counseling students with
academic problems and providing student encouragement & participate in extracurricular
activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations
 Participate in department and university meetings, parent meetings

 Communicate necessary information regularly to immediate supervisor, students, and
colleagues regarding student progress and student needs. Identify and select different
instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs & instruct and
monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
 Use relevant technology to visualize the students to make understand any complex topics.
 Observe and evaluate student's performance and development & prepare required reports
on students and activities
 Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and
procedures
 Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and
make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities.

Key Competencies
Both Hon’s and Masters degree with first class or Minimum CGPA- 3.85 from a
recognized university.
Students of Jaganath University in the relevant course or Ph.D. in respective fields
from a reputed university will be preferable.
Three(3) years of teaching/ research experience and at least two(2) publications in
refereed journals for Master's degree holder or two(2) years of teaching experience
and at least one(1) publication in refereed journals for Ph.D. holder.
Must have fluency in English and Bengali with good accent and profound
knowledge on Management Information System.
Must have positive feeling and respect for the job and no room of aggression
towards students rather.
Critical thinking, stress tolerance, flexibility and adaptability, self motivation, high
work standards, problem solving

Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs & instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment  Use relevant technology to visualize the students to make understand any complex topics.  Observe and evaluate student's performance and development & prepare required reports on students and activities  Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures  Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities. Three(3) years of teaching/ research experience and at least two(2) publications in refereed journals for Master's degree holder or two(2) years of teaching experience and at least one(1) publication in refereed journals for Ph.D. holder. Must have fluency in English and Bengali with good accent and profound knowledge on Management Information System. Must have positive feeling and respect for the job and no room of aggression towards students rather.
