Story
"After living in my new house for five months or so, I decide to take a shower. One
of my friends had just slept over. I had taken a crap ton of showers in that
bathroom already, so it's not like it was anything new. So I take my shower, get out
to dry off, and look at the steamed up mirror. On the mirror, in PERFECT writing
read something along the lines of "Dear father, please forgive me" I completely
forget the rest because I was just so freaked out. But it was terrifying. The
bathroom door was locked the entire time, and no one could have got in. It had
also never been there any other time I took a shower.“
I have decided to use this story because it seems basic but has some though and
inspiration behind it that could be used more in my work and will help me
improve my future work in the audio PowerPoint for this project.

• The statue
A few years ago, a mother and father decided they needed a break, so they wanted to head out for a night on the town.
They called their most trusted babysitter. When the babysitter arrived, the two children were already fast asleep in bed.
So the babysitter just got to sit around and make sure everything was okay with the children.
Later that night, the babysitter got bored and went to watch TV, but she couldn’t watch it downstairs because they did
not have cable downstairs (the parents didn’t want children watching too much garbage). So, she called them and asked
them if she could watch cable in the parents’ room. Of course, the parents said it was OK, but the babysitter had one
final request … she asked if she could cover up the angel statue outside the bedroom window with a blanket or cloth,
because it made her nervous. The phone line was silent for a moment, and the father who was talking to the babysitter
at the time said, “Take the children and get out of the house … we’ll call the police. We don’t own an angel statue.” The
police found both of the children and the babysitter slumped in pools of their own blood within three minutes of the call.
No statue was found.
The story alone without the sound effects and the speaking is fearful and creates an intense and unnerving presents.
This type of story makes your imagination run wild with curiosity and fear. The sound effects used create a creepy
and freaky feel and the imagery that could be used will create a better overall outlook of the story. This time of the
recording would be a night in a regular home with children to create the sense of realism. The main focus of imagery
from the producers is based on horror and nothing else apart from making a build up and a dramatic finish to the
story or video.

Location
– From the sounds given it is in a dark room with a weird feeling because of the 3D
audio presented giving a vide of realism. This type of productions works very well
for what they are aiming for in horror because it feels that your really there. The
dark room effect of closing your eyes works really well because all you can hear is
the sounds and the feel of someone breathing down your neck. The voices used in
the audio also have a distinctive sounds and keeps looping around your head
because you can see or hear anything else giving that scary image and feel.

A young girl is playing in her bedroom when she hears her mother call to her from the
kitchen, so she runs down the stairs to meet her mother. As she’s running through the
hallway, the door to the cupboard under the stairs opens, and a hand reaches out and
pulls her in. It’s her mother. She whispers to her child, “Don’t go into the kitchen. I heard
it too.”
The story alone creates a creepy feeling without hearing audio or seeing visual video for
this story. The curiosity of this story and how simple it is works incredibly well as a “scary
story”. It makes your imagination run wild and gives you chills just thinking about who's
in the kitchen. The time period used by the produces seems to be around night and
afternoon In there bedroom and house. The tone that they’re in there own home and
something happens makes you think who the person or thing is in the kitchen calling the
daughters name. This type of production also gives the audience something to think
about after reading or listening to this product.

Planning
Idea Generation/Initial Reaction
I have decided to use these images as a
mood board because it gives a better
visual presentation of what I'm aiming
for in my horror story and puts ideas
into my head on what I will want to
include in this. My initial reaction to
some of these images do something
along the lines of having a family in a
house with someone or something with
them without them knowing until its
too late.
Within my story I would like the large
portion of it to be in the large house
with many rooms so it can create more
of an anxious and nerve racking feel to
the overall story.
This idea springs to my head just because of the creepy images
and the way the images can change the way you feel in general
when thinking about it. I would also like to include a large part
of tension and mystery to give the listener some curiosity
about what is happening.
Proposal
Working Title:
The house.
Audience:
My audience is more aimed towards the old teens and young adults just because it may contain some
swearing and could be too young for people below the age of 15-16. this is because of the type of story it will
be and the audio clips may be scary for the younger generation. I am aiming for this age because it works well
with the interests of certain teens and what they look for In horror stories. I am wanting the story to be
appealing to all genders and not wanting it to be aimed at one certain gender so it can fair and evenly spread
across all. The main focus of social status I am aiming for is particularly middle class and low middle class just
because of the money it will cost to listen or read this story. This is also because younger people wont be able
to purchase this and will keep the story for working and older people that are willing to read or listening to this
story. My psychographic is aimed towards the belonger class. This is because they are mostly likely to read or
listen to my story and hopefully enjoy the read or listen.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The concept of what I am wanting to create is a story to listen and read, I want it to give the audience a thrill of
horror and do what it entails with fear and excitement. I want this to happen because it will be good for my
understand whether or not it is a good enough story line with the thrill of not knowing what will happen at the
end and how things change throughout the story. For my researched I listen to a lot of 3d audio sounds of
horror stories to make it more realistic and give me some ideas for what I am aiming for and how I will be able
to do it and what I should use when creating it. The main concept for what I am wanting to produce is a story
line where there is a family that hears and sees things that shouldn’t be happening such as shadows.
Script
“ME, my wife and daughter have been living in this house for the three weeks and things are
happening. I decided to take a shower with door locked. I have taken a lot showers recently in
this house because it calms me from the problems at hand. What happens next changed my
comfort.
I got out of the shower and saw in PERFECT writing in the mirror
Dear father I know and please forgive me because its time. I completely forgot the rest because I
was so freaked out. I started to realize that the door was shut with blood dripping down the door
with my childhood favourite toy. Once I got dried and clothed. I stepped out shaking in pieces and
I saw it. Staring at me in the eye. It was my son”
Some of the sound effects I will like to include is some heavy breathing and a sound of a heart
beating at the beginning of the audio horror story. This is because it builds tension and gives a
thrill of curiosity of what is going to happen later on in the story.

Production
Daily Reflection Day 1
I started to produce a script for the audio product that I am creating.
The audio is being based of horror stories and I want it too include a
lot of the aspects that good stories contain. When I was creating my
script I wanted a mix of feelings from it. I introduced a variety of
techniques seen from other stories and then incorporated them into
my end product.
When I started to produce my script before recording. I gained some of
my ideas from my existing product research and my idea generation.
This gave me some inspiration of what I am wanting to create for the
final audio product. A large inspiration was the production of my audio
was the short stories in my existing product research because they
were simple but effective.
Daily Reflection Day 2
When I first started to produce the audio that has now been
completed it was difficult to find out what to create the story on just
because of what has already been created by other producers. When
creating my product I decided to stick to a certain story that didn’t
seem to be overused and seems unique for my work.
I started to record the audio from a script that I wrote and used a
audio recorder to get the best outcome for this project. I decided on
the first day of recording to use the green screen room because it
seemed very quick and away from the public so there wasn’t a lot of
distractions to keep me away from my recording.
I decided to use the audio recorder provided by college so I could gain
the best audio sounds that are the most clear compared to using my
phone or other recording devices available. Once I had got the script
completely read and spoken into the audio recorder I converted all of
the files onto the mac to the import them into adobe premier pro.
Daily Reflection Day 3
Once I gained all of my audio clips from recording in a green screen
room with a audio recorder. I imported all of the files onto the mac
then open up adobe premier pro because it works well and can be
used in a professional manor. I then placed the audio clips into a folder
to keep them organized. I then started to put them in order so I could
match up the timeline of the story to make it seem realistic and
effective.
I then started to cut the audio clips so I could place them together
more effective and efficiently. After I got all of the clips cut and
ordered I then started to go back through my planning to see what
would be good for sound effects and also what I want for the end and
the intro of the horror audio.
Daily Reflection Day 4
After finding out what sound effects I am wanting to use I then go onto
websites such as YouTube and export them so I can import them into
the audio file inside the adobe premier pro. Once I have placed them
into the correct place so I can cut them so they will be a perfect fit for
the feel of the audio clip. Once all of the audio clips and sound effects
have been perfected into my work. I then listen through and export
the audio as a MP3 so it can be listened to and compatible with other
computers.

Evaluation
Research
A large strength I had for the research is that I got valid information before production
that could make the story good and the audio realistic for what I am aiming for for the
final product. The information I gained was largely towards popular stories and how
they work for the reader or the listener. I did this because it gave me ideas for the
techniques I could use in my work. Some of the techniques I took from this research
was the cliff hangers and how the story fades and rises. On my research I also gained
information from existing products and I found out there location and how they work
with sound effects and audio techniques. This information worked really well because
it gave me ideas on where to base my story on and how I could lay out the story to
make it unique and different from regular stories.
A weakness of my research was that I could have gained better information from real
audio clips rather than from stories that have been types rather than been spoken. For
improving this I could have listened to more audio clips so I had a better variety of
ideas that I could have used in my final audio clip. This would have effected my work
because it will have a better context rather than it just sounding like reading from a
script. This would have improved my work more because it would have given me the
opportunity to have a more realistic view on the story and give a better front image
and audio feel of the story
Planning
One strength of my planning is that I have used more of a visual representation
compared to a written and described. I did this so I could visual the work I will be
producing in future and for the final audio I have created. I did this also because it
helps me focus on the end product with inspiration from the image I have chosen to
keep in my work. This type of planning I decided to create helped me with my product
because it gave me the inspiration for the audio. It gave me ideas on locations and
how to include different types images through my audio.
A weakness of my work is that I don’t have a lot of text to support the images. I could
have included more text to describe why I had used the images rather than having just
images with a small amount of text giving a simple explanation. If I had added more
text rather than more images it could be more improved because it would give more
context and would help me decided on the final product rather than it already is. This
is because I could have had a better story line and the way the script has been written.
This is because images don’t give enough information for this type of work. If I had
improved my work for future it would give me an advantage for my future projects
with audio clips and how they go together with a story line and a audio dialog.
Time Management
I feel that I had managed my time well with the audio editing and then
PowerPoint production. This is because I finished the work at the deadline
and I have not gone over the deadline so It can be completed and not having
to possibly fail. I also think that If I had more time that I could have created
the work to a better standard for the final product rather than it already is.
This is because I could have developed my ideas more and could have had a
better script and a overall outcome for the final product audio.
If I had more time to produce my work I would have added more information
into my PowerPoint and into my script. I would also had spent more time on
my editing for the final audio. This is because I could have added more effects
and made a better soundtrack list for the audio and added more detailed
sound effects for behind the dialog and backing music.
Technical Qualities
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u163wC6mP2A
The comparison between my work and this audio work is that there are some similarities but also some
differences. One similarity is that I have included the creepy feel of the breathing down your neck. This type of
audio that has been included in my audio and the one I am comparing to is that it works effectively for the
scary image and the unique feel from my work. I will use this technique in future because it works very well for
the tense and the thrilling feeling created from listening or reading. A different between my work and the one
chosen to compare to is that the my work is short compared and not as realistic. This is because in the 8d
experience it feels very realistic because once you close your eyes the feeling of excitement and fear kicks in
whereas in my work the feeling doesn’t kick in as much because you have to imagine the story as well as you
listening to it the feeling you gain from creating a feel of fear and thrilling is incorporated into my work and also
the 8d experience. This similarity works really well because it captures what I am aiming for from the final
audio. That feeling creates the fear raise and nerves be on edge.
My work contains some technical aspects such as creepy music and a incorporation of different sound effects
that work well for the story line, such as the heart beating sound effect and the sound effects of the child
crying and the shower. It gives a realistic view and creates more context behind the story line. I created my
effects by gaining sound clips from online but also creating them through a audio recorder and also using the
clips for editing in adobe premier pro. I used the Foley method in the sense for production. I recording this
audio using a specific audio recorder to gain the sounds needed. I did this so I could have the best recordings I
could gain with the equipment I have in stock for this project. I will use this in future because it works really
well and gives a crisp sound for what I am aiming for.
Aural Qualities
I think that my work sounds good because it works well with the feel it gives for the
story line.this is because I wanted to make it sound like a horror story since that is
what I’ve based it off and that is this project. It’s sounds good aswell because I have
added sound effects and other sounds to make it sound better than just audio. I did
this by adding music into the background and adding effects for certain things such
as shower and a crying child
To improve my work I would have had more time to make the audio better with the
story. This is because it’s slightly short and I wanted it to be a bit longer so the
listener had more information. One of my strengths of my project is that I have
produced the products quickly with a reasonable amount of professional techniques
to make it sound better. A weakness of my work is that I spend a lot of time
recording rather than editing. If I had more time in future I would have created a
better final edit.
Audience Appeal
I have hit my target audience good because it’s main aim is for teenagers and young
adult. I have done this because it’s not a childish story and contains good amounts of
content that will be appealing to people my age because of the sound and the story
line. This mix of sound and story line works well because it doesn’t aim against one
certain gender and age in my audience. This means there will be a variety of people
able to listen and enjoy rather than just one gender and one age group.
Something that will be very appealing to my aimed audience is the story. This is
because it quick and no boring parts to make the story seem slower and unrelated to
what’s happening in it. This is good because it shows that I am aiming it at my
audience and this shows that I have done that.

  • 2. Story "After living in my new house for five months or so, I decide to take a shower. One of my friends had just slept over. I had taken a crap ton of showers in that bathroom already, so it's not like it was anything new. So I take my shower, get out to dry off, and look at the steamed up mirror. On the mirror, in PERFECT writing read something along the lines of "Dear father, please forgive me" I completely forget the rest because I was just so freaked out. But it was terrifying. The bathroom door was locked the entire time, and no one could have got in. It had also never been there any other time I took a shower.“ I have decided to use this story because it seems basic but has some though and inspiration behind it that could be used more in my work and will help me improve my future work in the audio PowerPoint for this project.
  • 3. Existing Products Research • The statue A few years ago, a mother and father decided they needed a break, so they wanted to head out for a night on the town. They called their most trusted babysitter. When the babysitter arrived, the two children were already fast asleep in bed. So the babysitter just got to sit around and make sure everything was okay with the children. Later that night, the babysitter got bored and went to watch TV, but she couldn’t watch it downstairs because they did not have cable downstairs (the parents didn’t want children watching too much garbage). So, she called them and asked them if she could watch cable in the parents’ room. Of course, the parents said it was OK, but the babysitter had one final request … she asked if she could cover up the angel statue outside the bedroom window with a blanket or cloth, because it made her nervous. The phone line was silent for a moment, and the father who was talking to the babysitter at the time said, “Take the children and get out of the house … we’ll call the police. We don’t own an angel statue.” The police found both of the children and the babysitter slumped in pools of their own blood within three minutes of the call. No statue was found. The story alone without the sound effects and the speaking is fearful and creates an intense and unnerving presents. This type of story makes your imagination run wild with curiosity and fear. The sound effects used create a creepy and freaky feel and the imagery that could be used will create a better overall outlook of the story. This time of the recording would be a night in a regular home with children to create the sense of realism. The main focus of imagery from the producers is based on horror and nothing else apart from making a build up and a dramatic finish to the story or video.
  • 4. Existing Products Research • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWridXDgYc8 In this soundscape they include – Water – Waves – Wind Location – The location set for this audio clip is on a appealing beach with clear pristine water, golden sands and tall palm trees. It looks around mid day because of the location of the sun and how clear the sky is with its blue colours.
  • 5. Existing Products Research • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u163wC6mP2A In this soundscape they include – Breathing – Clicks – Knifes hitting each other – Voices – Drills – Etc Location – From the sounds given it is in a dark room with a weird feeling because of the 3D audio presented giving a vide of realism. This type of productions works very well for what they are aiming for in horror because it feels that your really there. The dark room effect of closing your eyes works really well because all you can hear is the sounds and the feel of someone breathing down your neck. The voices used in the audio also have a distinctive sounds and keeps looping around your head because you can see or hear anything else giving that scary image and feel.
  • 6. Existing Products Research A young girl is playing in her bedroom when she hears her mother call to her from the kitchen, so she runs down the stairs to meet her mother. As she’s running through the hallway, the door to the cupboard under the stairs opens, and a hand reaches out and pulls her in. It’s her mother. She whispers to her child, “Don’t go into the kitchen. I heard it too.” The story alone creates a creepy feeling without hearing audio or seeing visual video for this story. The curiosity of this story and how simple it is works incredibly well as a “scary story”. It makes your imagination run wild and gives you chills just thinking about who's in the kitchen. The time period used by the produces seems to be around night and afternoon In there bedroom and house. The tone that they’re in there own home and something happens makes you think who the person or thing is in the kitchen calling the daughters name. This type of production also gives the audience something to think about after reading or listening to this product.

  • 9. Idea Generation/Initial Reaction I have decided to use these images as a mood board because it gives a better visual presentation of what I'm aiming for in my horror story and puts ideas into my head on what I will want to include in this. My initial reaction to some of these images do something along the lines of having a family in a house with someone or something with them without them knowing until its too late. Within my story I would like the large portion of it to be in the large house with many rooms so it can create more of an anxious and nerve racking feel to the overall story. This idea springs to my head just because of the creepy images and the way the images can change the way you feel in general when thinking about it. I would also like to include a large part of tension and mystery to give the listener some curiosity about what is happening.
  • 10. Proposal Working Title: The house. Audience: My audience is more aimed towards the old teens and young adults just because it may contain some swearing and could be too young for people below the age of 15-16. this is because of the type of story it will be and the audio clips may be scary for the younger generation. I am aiming for this age because it works well with the interests of certain teens and what they look for In horror stories. I am wanting the story to be appealing to all genders and not wanting it to be aimed at one certain gender so it can fair and evenly spread across all. The main focus of social status I am aiming for is particularly middle class and low middle class just because of the money it will cost to listen or read this story. This is also because younger people wont be able to purchase this and will keep the story for working and older people that are willing to read or listening to this story. My psychographic is aimed towards the belonger class. This is because they are mostly likely to read or listen to my story and hopefully enjoy the read or listen. Project Concept (approx. 200 words) The concept of what I am wanting to create is a story to listen and read, I want it to give the audience a thrill of horror and do what it entails with fear and excitement. I want this to happen because it will be good for my understand whether or not it is a good enough story line with the thrill of not knowing what will happen at the end and how things change throughout the story. For my researched I listen to a lot of 3d audio sounds of horror stories to make it more realistic and give me some ideas for what I am aiming for and how I will be able to do it and what I should use when creating it. The main concept for what I am wanting to produce is a story line where there is a family that hears and sees things that shouldn’t be happening such as shadows.
  • 11. Script “ME, my wife and daughter have been living in this house for the three weeks and things are happening. I decided to take a shower with door locked. I have taken a lot showers recently in this house because it calms me from the problems at hand. What happens next changed my comfort. I got out of the shower and saw in PERFECT writing in the mirror Dear father I know and please forgive me because its time. I completely forgot the rest because I was so freaked out. I started to realize that the door was shut with blood dripping down the door with my childhood favourite toy. Once I got dried and clothed. I stepped out shaking in pieces and I saw it. Staring at me in the eye. It was my son” Some of the sound effects I will like to include is some heavy breathing and a sound of a heart beating at the beginning of the audio horror story. This is because it builds tension and gives a thrill of curiosity of what is going to happen later on in the story.

  • 16. Daily Reflection Day 1 I started to produce a script for the audio product that I am creating. The audio is being based of horror stories and I want it too include a lot of the aspects that good stories contain. When I was creating my script I wanted a mix of feelings from it. I introduced a variety of techniques seen from other stories and then incorporated them into my end product. When I started to produce my script before recording. I gained some of my ideas from my existing product research and my idea generation. This gave me some inspiration of what I am wanting to create for the final audio product. A large inspiration was the production of my audio was the short stories in my existing product research because they were simple but effective.
  • 17. Daily Reflection Day 2 When I first started to produce the audio that has now been completed it was difficult to find out what to create the story on just because of what has already been created by other producers. When creating my product I decided to stick to a certain story that didn’t seem to be overused and seems unique for my work. I started to record the audio from a script that I wrote and used a audio recorder to get the best outcome for this project. I decided on the first day of recording to use the green screen room because it seemed very quick and away from the public so there wasn’t a lot of distractions to keep me away from my recording. I decided to use the audio recorder provided by college so I could gain the best audio sounds that are the most clear compared to using my phone or other recording devices available. Once I had got the script completely read and spoken into the audio recorder I converted all of the files onto the mac to the import them into adobe premier pro.
  • 18. Daily Reflection Day 3 Once I gained all of my audio clips from recording in a green screen room with a audio recorder. I imported all of the files onto the mac then open up adobe premier pro because it works well and can be used in a professional manor. I then placed the audio clips into a folder to keep them organized. I then started to put them in order so I could match up the timeline of the story to make it seem realistic and effective. I then started to cut the audio clips so I could place them together more effective and efficiently. After I got all of the clips cut and ordered I then started to go back through my planning to see what would be good for sound effects and also what I want for the end and the intro of the horror audio.
  • 19. Daily Reflection Day 4 After finding out what sound effects I am wanting to use I then go onto websites such as YouTube and export them so I can import them into the audio file inside the adobe premier pro. Once I have placed them into the correct place so I can cut them so they will be a perfect fit for the feel of the audio clip. Once all of the audio clips and sound effects have been perfected into my work. I then listen through and export the audio as a MP3 so it can be listened to and compatible with other computers.

  • 22. Research A large strength I had for the research is that I got valid information before production that could make the story good and the audio realistic for what I am aiming for for the final product. The information I gained was largely towards popular stories and how they work for the reader or the listener. I did this because it gave me ideas for the techniques I could use in my work. Some of the techniques I took from this research was the cliff hangers and how the story fades and rises. On my research I also gained information from existing products and I found out there location and how they work with sound effects and audio techniques. This information worked really well because it gave me ideas on where to base my story on and how I could lay out the story to make it unique and different from regular stories. A weakness of my research was that I could have gained better information from real audio clips rather than from stories that have been types rather than been spoken. For improving this I could have listened to more audio clips so I had a better variety of ideas that I could have used in my final audio clip. This would have effected my work because it will have a better context rather than it just sounding like reading from a script. This would have improved my work more because it would have given me the opportunity to have a more realistic view on the story and give a better front image and audio feel of the story
  • 23. Planning One strength of my planning is that I have used more of a visual representation compared to a written and described. I did this so I could visual the work I will be producing in future and for the final audio I have created. I did this also because it helps me focus on the end product with inspiration from the image I have chosen to keep in my work. This type of planning I decided to create helped me with my product because it gave me the inspiration for the audio. It gave me ideas on locations and how to include different types images through my audio. A weakness of my work is that I don’t have a lot of text to support the images. I could have included more text to describe why I had used the images rather than having just images with a small amount of text giving a simple explanation. If I had added more text rather than more images it could be more improved because it would give more context and would help me decided on the final product rather than it already is. This is because I could have had a better story line and the way the script has been written. This is because images don’t give enough information for this type of work. If I had improved my work for future it would give me an advantage for my future projects with audio clips and how they go together with a story line and a audio dialog.
  • 24. Time Management I feel that I had managed my time well with the audio editing and then PowerPoint production. This is because I finished the work at the deadline and I have not gone over the deadline so It can be completed and not having to possibly fail. I also think that If I had more time that I could have created the work to a better standard for the final product rather than it already is. This is because I could have developed my ideas more and could have had a better script and a overall outcome for the final product audio. If I had more time to produce my work I would have added more information into my PowerPoint and into my script. I would also had spent more time on my editing for the final audio. This is because I could have added more effects and made a better soundtrack list for the audio and added more detailed sound effects for behind the dialog and backing music.
  • 25. Technical Qualities https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u163wC6mP2A The comparison between my work and this audio work is that there are some similarities but also some differences. One similarity is that I have included the creepy feel of the breathing down your neck. This type of audio that has been included in my audio and the one I am comparing to is that it works effectively for the scary image and the unique feel from my work. I will use this technique in future because it works very well for the tense and the thrilling feeling created from listening or reading. A different between my work and the one chosen to compare to is that the my work is short compared and not as realistic. This is because in the 8d experience it feels very realistic because once you close your eyes the feeling of excitement and fear kicks in whereas in my work the feeling doesn’t kick in as much because you have to imagine the story as well as you listening to it the feeling you gain from creating a feel of fear and thrilling is incorporated into my work and also the 8d experience. This similarity works really well because it captures what I am aiming for from the final audio. That feeling creates the fear raise and nerves be on edge. My work contains some technical aspects such as creepy music and a incorporation of different sound effects that work well for the story line, such as the heart beating sound effect and the sound effects of the child crying and the shower. It gives a realistic view and creates more context behind the story line. I created my effects by gaining sound clips from online but also creating them through a audio recorder and also using the clips for editing in adobe premier pro. I used the Foley method in the sense for production. I recording this audio using a specific audio recorder to gain the sounds needed. I did this so I could have the best recordings I could gain with the equipment I have in stock for this project. I will use this in future because it works really well and gives a crisp sound for what I am aiming for.
  • 26. Aural Qualities I think that my work sounds good because it works well with the feel it gives for the story line.this is because I wanted to make it sound like a horror story since that is what I’ve based it off and that is this project. It’s sounds good aswell because I have added sound effects and other sounds to make it sound better than just audio. I did this by adding music into the background and adding effects for certain things such as shower and a crying child To improve my work I would have had more time to make the audio better with the story. This is because it’s slightly short and I wanted it to be a bit longer so the listener had more information. One of my strengths of my project is that I have produced the products quickly with a reasonable amount of professional techniques to make it sound better. A weakness of my work is that I spend a lot of time recording rather than editing. If I had more time in future I would have created a better final edit.
  • 27. Audience Appeal I have hit my target audience good because it’s main aim is for teenagers and young adult. I have done this because it’s not a childish story and contains good amounts of content that will be appealing to people my age because of the sound and the story line. This mix of sound and story line works well because it doesn’t aim against one certain gender and age in my audience. This means there will be a variety of people able to listen and enjoy rather than just one gender and one age group. Something that will be very appealing to my aimed audience is the story. This is because it quick and no boring parts to make the story seem slower and unrelated to what’s happening in it. This is good because it shows that I am aiming it at my audience and this shows that I have done that.
