When I listened to this audiobook, I thought straight away that I want mine to have music
and sound effects, as this one does. These are sounds such as doors opening and shutting,
phones ringing, doorbells, kettles boiling etc. This will make it believable and more realistic
inside the listeners mind. It also makes them sound more professional than someone just
reading out a script to a audio recorder.
This audiobook is very long, almost an hour. I will not be making my script this long, as I
simply do not have the time. Mine will be around 5 minutes long, so it will be quite a short
story.
This audio has a lot of drama in the script, and the suspense is in the right places, it creates
the right amount of tension and makes the listener want to carry on listening and find out
what happens. I want my audio to be similar in this respect, as drama and tension is
something that makes the audio interesting. This audiobook’s genre of story is drama, and
mystery. This makes it very interesting and interesting to listen to, but I want my audio to be
different and be in the genre of fantasy, based in a medieval land, where features such as
dragons are involved. This will hopefully make my story interesting and made in a way that
captivates people without picture.

This audiobook is dramatic and has a lot of different cliff-hangers as well as a difference of
character personalities. There is shock twists, and mystery. I want my audio book to have this
incorporated into it. This is because it made the script and audiobook seem very professional
and thought out. The characters are well thought out and planned, and it makes them seem
like real people. I want my characters to be this believable and realistic.
In this audio play, there is sounds such as kettles boiling and doors opening and closing. This
gives the illusion that what your hearing is what is really happening. This makes it seem very
realistic and makes people want to carry on listening, as it feels like you’re watching TV, but
you get to make up the visuals yourself. This is a good attribute to have in an audio play
because it means its very descriptive and well written, and I ant mine to be like this too.
This audio is quite long, as it 45 minutes long. I will not make mine this long as writing all of
the script, would take a very long time, and I do not have enough time. I also do not want to
bore anyone who listens to it, as if it is too long winded someone may not want to listen to
all of it.

This audiobook is factual and historic, it has music and sound effects. The information
given is truthful, and no one is alive now that was alive then. This makes it interesting and
keeps people listening. My audiobook will not be historically accurate or truthful as I want
to write a fictional story, instead of a non fictional one. I still want my story to keep people
listening and interested.
This is a short Audio clip, as it is part of a series posted on YouTube. I will not be making a
series as my story will something that needs to be listened to al in one. I do not want
people to get so far trough my series and then decide they don’t want t listen to it
anymore, therefore they are more likely to keep listening if it is a short, one piece story.
The detail the history was told in, was very impressive. I wish or my audiobook to be this
detailed and interesting. It wont be real, but hopefully it will still have the same attributes
in the way people consume the story.

5. Research Analysis
• What common features do the researched products have?
– All of the audios that I have researched were well written with lots of detail, and
all of the audios I researched are very interesting and made me want to know
what happens next in them.
– 2 of the audios that I researched are both fictional stories, made to entertain
people, the last audio that I researched was there to inform and to entertain,
because even though it was filled with jokes, it was telling interesting things that
children want to know, or would fond interesting.
• What aspects of the research will you include within your on work?
– I will include exquisite detail, and make sure my script is very well written.
– My audio will include sound effects to make my audio more believable and
interesting.
– I will include some jokes/puns that will make everyone chuckle and try to keep
the story lighter than I first intended to, because I want to appal to a younger
audience than before.
