The layers image inset into the bottom of the cloak is easily noticed by the audience even though it is only small as it is by the title, in the bottom third and is bright in comparison to the dark cloak it is positioned on. In the image you can see a man walking towards the screen in the middle of a street, this may symbolise what the main characters are aiming to shoot at and may also give an insight to the role in the film of this character, as he is on his own and the main characters are grouped together showing that it could be them against him as he is the main antagonist and they are the main protagonist. Bruce Willis’ eye contact is also down, looking in the same direction as his gun is pointing which is towards the layered image of the protagonist, this could show a hierarchy in characters and show that Bruce Willis’ character believes he is more powerful than the antagonist who is a lot smaller and below him. Brittany Murphy is not featured on the cover therefore it is a surprise to the audience when she is seen in the film. The title of the film is positioned in the bottom right hand corner of the poster in bright red; the font is extremely bold, sans serif and looks drawn. The title stands out compared to the rest of the poster as everything else is washed out to almost black and white with just slight colour in the skin of the characters. This gives a clue to the audience in what the film will be like aka washed out to almost black and white with hints of bright red/ colour to symbolise different moments in the film/story line. The famous actors and actresses in the film are Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Clive Owen and Brittany Murphy yet none of these names are featured on the front cover and only Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba and Clive Owen are pictured on the front with two other characters next to them.
