2. The main character in our film has been portrayed as strong and
carefree. We have shown this by using low angle shots.
By placing the camera below her this immediately tells the audience
that this character has a lot of power and is in control.
The fact that her eye line is higher than ours shows she has some
authority over the audience and we immediately respect her.
3. Women are normally stereotyped as weak,
vulnerable, dumb and sexualized.
They are normally portrayed as the underdog or
side kick. Rarely the main character.
Normally they are objectified as sex objects which
means men have power over them.
They are normally beautiful looking too.
4. The way we have framed our shots through out the
opening sequence makes it clear to the audience
that women dominate this film.
There is no sight of a male character in the first 3
minutes which suggests this is a play on the typical
convention.
We wanted a Juno vibe in our film, hopefully we
achieved this with the correct clothing and actress.
5. It has become apparent that we have
clearly changed the typical way social
groups are presented in opening title
sequences, as we have a woman
walking around the streets of London
carrying a spade and is utterly carefree.
Also the fact that the actress is a female
is a play on the typical conventions! As is
the fact there is no male actors in our
film!!
