There is evidence of proficiency in the creative use of most of the technical skills
Footage:
Good use of camera, with good variety of shots, mostly in focus. Good use of
framing. Good use of mise-en-scene (especially the use of locations/performance).
Editing:
Video is edited to beat with good actions to beat. Good use of transitions that link
with song and visuals. Footage has been edited well but narrative could be clearer.
Overall:
Good video which meets the conventions of the genre. Good attention to visuals to
maintain audience interest. Narrative is unclear, needed to show that actor wants a
different life and girlfriend. Great use of singer lip synching his song.
Construction – Ancillary Task 1 (Digipak) comments and mark out of 7/10
Beth has demonstrated proficiency in the design of her digipak for her artist. There
is clear awareness of the industry conventions. Photographs used are appropriate
to the task. Good use of photoshop skills to manipulate the back cover.
Construction – Ancillary Task 2 (Poster) comments and mark out of 7/10
Beth has demonstrated proficiency in the design of her poster for her artist. There
is clear awareness of the industry conventions with the addition of facebook and
twitter icons. Proficient photoshop skills have been used in the creation such as
cropping and use of gradients. Would have been nice to see the b ‘Obvious’
written the same way in the digipak to show further ties.
Evaluation – Comments and mark out of 17/20
Question 1: Answered well using power-point and ‘slide share’. You have
understood the question well and confidently point out how your video conforms to
the country music genre. More could have been said about why you made the
choices you did.
Question 2: Answered excellently using ‘Emaze’. You have explained in good
detail how your products work together and would fit into real world music industry
standards. Great use of examples and choices explained well.
Question 3: Answered using a ‘youtube’ video. A good range of audience
feedback was clearly undertaken. You have reflected well on feedback received
and note your areas for improvement next time. A good reflective piece.
Question 4: Answered using ‘prezi’ and a blog post. All technologies used have
been explained very well. It would have been nice to see all the software used in
the one prezi rather than over 2 posts, but all areas covered well.

2. Overall an excellent body of work. You have explained your design choices well
and reflected on what went well and didn’t. Excellent use of communication and
ICT.
