Construction – Main Task – comments and mark out of 30/40
Footage:
Controlled use of camera, good variety of shots, some shots out of focus. Good use of
mise-en-scene and genre conventions. Some good use of locations. Visuals work well
with lyrics. Clear narrative established.
Editing:
Video is edited to beat with some good actions to beat, though at times footage does
not always match intensity of song. Sped up footage does not always work.
Overall:
Proficient video that meets the conventions for a dance video. More attention to visuals
to maintain audience interest. Video would benefit from a resolution to narrative.

Evidence of proficiency in the creative use of most of the technical skills.
Front cover is good with clear understanding of layout. Back cover shows awareness of
design conventions. Inside covers show effective creativity.

Evidence of proficiency in the creative use of most of the technical skills.
Clear design and great image with good manipulation shown. Good variety of font with
excellent awareness of layout and design. Simple, elegant design.
Evaluation – Comments and mark out of 18/20
Question 1:
Video – excellent detail on how video conforms/challenges chosen genre. Great detail
on how technical elements and mise-en-scene used in video. Good reference to real
products with images taken from real products to show how product conforms to genre
conventions. Good use of Goodwin to analyse product.
Images could have been added instead of just blank screen. And while this post is
excellent, the running time of 13 minutes is too long.
Question 2:
Emaze – excellent detail on how the 3 products work together with the same theme
running through each product. Clear design throughout with key elements – colour,
iconography, image and font – used in all products creating meaning and familiarity
with audience. Good detail on use of ‘star’. Good use of real products in post to help
see the links.
Question 3:
2. PowerPoint/SlideShare and SoundCloud– excellent post with a range of feedback
including emails and questionnaire. Audio clip has good reflective comments with
strengths and weaknesses identified and ways to improve work in future.
Good addition of Goodwin. Two technologies used work very well together.
Question 4:
Prezi – good succinct detail on technologies used and how effective they were in parts
of production. Could have had more of a critical response.
Overall:
Post shows very good understanding of task with good research and information. Work
occasionally lacks good use of terminology or links to technical elements.
Good use of technology in evaluation.
Practical work is of a good standard and student has made very good progress.
