2. Genre
• The Genre of my magazine will be men's fashion with the subgenre
being business lifestyle. The magazine will have articles related to
lifestyle and fashion tips. As well as implementing things such as
sports cars, gadgets and girls.
3. Name
• The name of my magazine is ‘affluent’. I chose this because it relates
to being rich and having a lot of money. Affluent can also be related
to looking smart and high class which relates to my target audience
being A demographic.
4. Representation of people
• The photos will have males dressed in suits/smart clothing.
• The male models will be represented as looking fairly well off and
look like they take good care of themselves. They will be represented
as powerful business men.
• The models will be represented as very confident as the magazine is
about giving the audience tips.
5. Concept
• The concept of the magazine is to mainly focus on fashion and how to
look classy with other topics such as cars, girls and gadgets.
• There will be many tips on all the topics above.
• There will also include stories and exclusive interviews with the
model/celebrity.
6. Contents pages
• The contents page will have another photo of the model/celebrity
which will be congruent with the magazine cover.
• There will be a list of the contents with a brief insight into what they
talk about. The main articles will have small images that relate to the
articles.
7. Cover lines
• The main contents in the contents page will be cover lines on the side
of the magazines front cover.
8. Mode of address
• The mode address will not use many ‘slang’ words and will be kept
more formal.
9. Genre conventions
• Mid shot of model/celebrity looking directly at the camera.
• Cover lines along the sides.
• The masthead will be at the top of the page.
10. House style
• My house style will be modern looking using colours such as blue,
white and black. This will keep the magazine looking formal but
modern.
• The fonts used will be sans serif as it is modern looking
11. 1st cover
• The first cover will have the model in a studio, with a plain grey/
white background. It will use all of the conventions previously stated.
12. 2nd cover
• This cover will be subverting the convention of having the photo of
the model with a plain background. This photo will be more of a
lifestyle photo. E.g. a photo of the model on a boat/yacht. Or walking
down a street in a city.
14. Effects/techniques
• Use of the teeth whitening to make the model more attractive.
• Possible use of green screen for the background.
• Background eraser technique when difficult. Such as the hair.
• Blemish tool.
15. locations
• Again, use of green screen or just plain background. The lighting will
come slightly from the side to make it more natural looking and will
be high key.
